Chapter 20: stuck at the airport part 1

 

Shikamaru was forced by Temari to call everyone that a child, to see if they would allow their child to go on a trip with him. Some said yes, some yelled at him and other said no. He had one person left to call… Itachi. Why did it have to be him? He didn't want Itachi to come one the trip, But No Temari said He has to because the children liked him. Shikamaru slowly picked up the phone and started dialing.

 

The phone rang and rang and rang. PICK UP THE PHONE! Shikamaru thought as the phone rang. Finally there was some kind of noise on the other end, but Shikamaru didn't want to say something anything and slowly a voice came on the other end.

 

“Hello? Is anyone there? Is this Mr. Bunny?” Itachi asked.

 

“Ah… Itachi! It's um… Shikamaru!” Shikamaru sighed, but inside he's bursting with laughter.

 

“SHIKAMARU? HOW ARE YOU?” Itachi yelled into the phone, causing Shikamaru to jump.

 

“I'm fine! I was wondering if-” Shikamaru said, being cut off by Itachi.

 

“I love too!” Itachi said, happily.

 

“But I didn't ask the question yet! Fine… be at Temari's by 4 am. Don't be la-(Click)” The phone went silent; Shikamaru still held the phone to his ear and sighed, `how troublesome!' He slowly placed the phone down and checked off a list.

 

~*~ 4 Am~*~

 

4 am came quicker then anyone wanted too, the parents dropped off their sleepy children and kissed them goodbye and thanked Shikamaru for doing this. Itachi was the last one to arrive and said, “I couldn't find my suitcase!” Temari, checked everything to see if they had what they needed and helped Shikamaru to load everything into the van. Kankurou waved goodbye, before heading inside to sleep. Temari drove Shikamaru, Itachi and the kids to the airport, parked and helped to unload everything. They walked to the front door of the airport and hugged each other. Temari hugged the kids, wished them good luck and headed back to the car.

 

~*~ 5 am rolled in~*~

 

Shikamaru was staring at the arrival and departure board to find out what gate they were going to be in, but for some reason all the flights were canceled. Then a voice came on the P.a system, “All flights have been canceled, do to the storm! The flight attendants will be showing you places were you can stay to the storm is over.” Shikamaru looked down at the kids, whom were fighting each other and sighed. The voice came back on to the P. System, “There will be Flight attendants will be going around with food and also children will be placed a room, that will be changed into a play room and a place were they can sleep!” A flight attendant gathered all the children and placed the in the room, with security guards.

 

~*~Temari's house~*~

 

Temari was wide awake; worried that something bad was happening. She decided to watch TV, “GGGGGGGOOOOD MMMMOOORRRRNNNNIIINNNGGGG, Konoha village! An immediate weather report, a fierce storm threats Konoha village, all flights have been canceled. We do advise not to go out in this storm; it is believe that this is the worst storm in Konoha village. In other news, the Akatsuki team has escaped from prison the ANBU would like to inform you that they are very dangerous and please take caution. Have a great day!” Temari's mouth dropped and screamed, “KANKUROU!”

 

Kankurou bolted out of bed, ran down stairs and ran straight into the living room into attack mode. “Where is he?” Temari sighed, “No one's here! Kankurour… Shikamaru, Itachi and the kids are all stuck at the airport and the Akatsuki team has escaped!” Kankurour stared at Temari with a blank stare, “Are you kidding me?”

 

Temari shook her head, “Nope, I just saw it on the news!”

 

~*~ Back at the Airport~*~

 

Hours have passed; all the children and Itachi were taking a nap. Security guards were sent to watch them, little did they know that thirteen little eyes were wide opened and Gaara was making a plan.
