Ryu: Finally! The 1st official chapter!

Misa: I was wondering what took so long, Ryu.

Ryu: Oh be quiet Misa…Hey where did Thugbaby go… (Stomach grumbles) Oh damn I'm hungry! (Runs off) Tell me later… Misa you start telling it…

Misa: (Growls) Fine…here's the story!

Chapter 1: Long Time, No See

 

Chapter 1: Long Time, No See

 

It was a bright spring's day as a young 14 year old girl walked into the forest. She expertly jumped over, dodged, and evaded all of the traps that were set eight years ago and were set every time someone entered the area. She sighed as she side-stepped to the side, a large log flying right past her.

 

`Man, I can't believe how weak our traps were back then,' she sighed in her mind as she got a stick and threw it in front of her. The stick landed on a small thread.

 

BOOM

 

The girl looked up as a tree was about to fall on her. Her figure blurred out as the tree crashed down. She appeared again this time on top of the fallen tree.

 

`Well, I guess they're strong…considering we were six years old.' She started walking again and finally reached the untouched clearing. She smiled softly.

 

It was a beautiful clearing with Sakura blossoms just in bloom, the sparkling blue water, and waterfall. Behind that waterfall was a small cave. She sighed as she leaned against a crooked tree. The tree is big and has a crooked branch that allows someone to sleep or lay on it and a seat like branch on the other side and on the trunk there is a curve that allows someone to lay back and rest. Sakura blossoms fell from the sky like a gentle shower as the young girl lay against the trunk.

 

`I can't believe it has been 3 years…' she thought in her mind. She looked up at the sky and sighed. `3 years since you left, Ryu.' An image of three young girls playing together entered her mind. Hiken smirked and then sighed. She closed her eyes and thought, `Yep, 3 long years has passed and you're still not here, Ryu. Do you know how boring life has been since you weren't here to cause any pranks or cause a commotion?' Hiken laughed out of nowhere and said to herself, “Guess what? Aya has become a great medical-nin and she's gonna work at the hospital…ain't that great (Yawns) Ryu…”

 

As Hiken took a nap against the tree, a figure hid in the trees. The figure smirked as it took out four Senbons and held it between her fingers…

 

Hiken's eyes shot open as she dodged the flying senbons. The senbons wedged themselves in the tree as Hiken got into battle stance.

 

“Where are you?!” Hiken yelled, looking back and forth. “Come out and show yourself!” Laughter echoed through the clearing as Hiken looked around her.

 

“Aww…is the little ninja scared?” the voice cackled as Hiken growled. Hiken thought it was just one of those ninjas that ambushed her on the daily bases, but the chakra of this ninja was slightly different.

 

Suddenly, a black clad figure jumped out of the trees and pounced on Hiken, a kunai in the figure's hand. Hiken gasped as she dodged from pouncing on her. Hiken looked at the black clad person but could only see the person's eyes.

 

“Hyah!” The figure cried as she stabbed Hiken in the side.

The figure smirked under its mask and dodged the kunai that was thrown. The Kunai lodged itself in the log as the figure got in a battle stance. Hiken cried a battle yell as she threw a punch at the ninja. The ninja easily pushed Hiken's fist away, to Hiken's surprise, and brought its left leg up in a roundhouse kick. Hiken easily blocked it and pushed the ninja away from her. The two ninjas circled each other.

 

“Who are you? How did you find this place?” Hiken asked the figure as Hiken reached for a shuriken.

 

The ninja smirked and said, “How could I not?” all of the sudden, the figure disappeared leaving a stunned Hiken in its wake…

 

“Argh!” Hiken groaned in pain as her arm was harshly pulled behind her. She was pushed into the tree with a sharpen kunai against her throat as a threat. Hiken growled as she began to shake in anger. “You don't know who you messing with you damn ninja!” Hiken growled as her eyes flashed open. The ninja's eyes widened as Hiken was able to pull her arm back and then threw the ninja off her back. The ninja tumbled on the ground and shook its head. It looked up and saw Hiken above it, a dagger in Hiken's hand.

 

The ninja grinned as she used its hand to push itself back up and fling its feet in Hiken's face. Hiken flinched and stumbled backwards rubbing her eyes, dust flying in her eyes. The ninja laughed and then lunged at the staggered Hiken. Hiken gasped and then disappeared out of the ninja's grasp. The ninja smirked and turned to the tree, Hiken was standing on.

 

“I see your speed has grown a lot more last time I saw you,” the ninja commented as Hiken went to slice the ninja in half. Hiken tried to land a heel kick but the ninja easily held on Hiken's leg with one hand. “And you got a lot stronger too…”

 

“Who the hell are you?!” Hiken yelled as she lifted herself, leg still in the Ninja's hand, and punched the ninja in the face. Hiken gasped as the ninja's face didn't move from the impact. The ninja laughed as it grabbed Hiken's hand with the other hand. Hiken struggled but couldn't get out of the ninja's grasp.

 

`Man!' Hiken snarled in her mind. `Usually it doesn't take me to use this much effort to beat a ninja! Who is this person?'

 

“Come on!” the ninja chuckled. “You think I'll be that weak after 3 years of training!” The ninja threw Hiken to one of the trees breaking it. Hiken cried out from the impact and looked up. “And why are you going easy on me? You gotta be kidding me! Come on, Hiken-Baby, don't you remember me?”

 

“Did you say 3 years?” Hiken said. She glared. “If you're really who I think you is how come it's only been 3 years, when it was supposed to be 5?”

 

The ninja sighed in exasperation and said, “Because of that special thing I'm not supposed to talk about today!”

 

“What special thing? How do I know you're really Ryu?”

 

The ninja sighed and then disappeared. Hiken gasped as the ninja pushed Hiken against the tree. Hiken gasped as she felt the ninja push against her. Hiken began to pant as the ninja began whispering in her ear. Hiken's eyes widened as she, instinctively, punched the ninja back. The ninja, giggling to herself, fell backwards rubbing her cheek.

 

“Well, she remembers that…” she muttered to herself, rubbing her cheek.

 

“R-R-R…Ryu?”

 

The ninja laughed. “I'm not Ryu, whoever that is…” Hiken frowned and the ninja then grabbed its mask and said, “I'm Ryu…” the mask was finally off and a black haired girl with a big toothy grin was shown. “Senpai!”

 

Hiken smiled and said, “Oh my god! Ryu!” Hiken jumped off and ran towards Ryu, giving Ryu a big hug. Ryu laughed they both got up in each other arms.

 

“How's everything, Hiken-baby?” Ryu laughed as they let go to look at each other.

 

“Everything's been great!” Hiken laughed. Hiken then glared playfully and cried out, “You sticking pervert!” Hiken then started throwing rocks, twigs, and pebbles at Ryu who dodged every single one of them.

 

“Come on, Hiken. You know I was just joking!”

 

Hiken crossed her arms and smirked as they high-fived each other.

 

“When did you get here?” Hiken asked.

 

“Just got back!” Ryu said excitedly as they both started walking out of the forest. “You wouldn't believe all the things I've seen. Aww, Hiken I missed you so much!” Ryu pulled Hiken into another hug. They smiled and continued walking.

 

As the two started talking about the good old times they had together, they finally reached the Village Hidden by the Light of Dawn. It was a beautiful village with the sky always blue and with fluffy white clouds in the air. This village was given its name on how that when the sunrises, it seems like the village disappeared, but when the sunsets, it's a beautiful sight. This village was placed in the Twilight Country; legends say that this country had the most beautiful stars. The country was between the Fire Country and the Earth Country. When the two finally got to the village Ryu took a deep breath.

 

“Man did I miss this village!” Ryu sighed as she turned to Hiken.

 

Hiken smiled also and said, “You've changed a lot, and not but just look and height. I think you might have matured…”

 

“Really?!” Ryu said with a big grin. She posed and said, “Of course! After three years I musta matured!” Out of nowhere, Ryu took a sniff in the air. Ryu took another sniff and another until she screamed, “RAMEN!!!!”

 

Ryu ran towards the Ramen shop. Hiken sighed out as she grabbed hold of Ryu's collar. Hiken took a deep breath…

 

“I KNEW IT!! YOU HAVEN'T MATURED AT ALL!!!”

 

Ryu ducked and held onto her head and looked at Hiken with a frown. “Aww, come on Hiken. I'm starving.”

 

“Don't aww Hiken me! After all these years, all you have in your mind is still food!”

 

As they started arguing a young girl with purple hair walked towards them.

 

“Hey Hiken!” the girl yelled waving. Hiken turned around and beamed.

 

“Hey Aya!” Ryu's face lit up at the name. Hiken looked at Ryu and smiled. Aya was always like a baby sister to Ryu and Hiken was more like a competitive sister.

 

When Aya finally reached them, she looked at Ryu in uncertainty. “Hiken, who's that?”

 

“Aya? Aya! Is that little Aya?!” Ryu yelled as she grabbed Aya and pulled her into a big hug. “Aya! You're so big and so cute!”

 

Aya looked at the ninja, frighten and asked, “Hiken! Who's this freak hugging me?!”

 

Ryu had a wide smile on and pulled back to look at Aya. “Aww! She even sounds cuter! Aya, I missed you so much!”

 

“HIKEN WHO IS SHE?!” Aya yelled as she got out of Ryu's arm and hid behind Hiken.

 

“It's your Ryu-senpai!” Hiken said to Aya. Aya blinked and slowly turned to Ryu. Ryu smirked and said, “Little Aya doesn't remember Ryu-senpai?” Ryu said in a baby voice. Ryu laughed and then said, “Man I must have changed a lot then…”

 

“RYU-SENPAI!!!!” Aya screamed in realization as she tackled Ryu. “Oh my god! You've changed so much! I didn't even recognize you.” Aya let go and started rambling on how she worked at the hospital. Ryu just nodded her head laughing at Aya's excitement. “How come you've came back? I thought you were supposed to be gone for 5 years not 3.”

 

“Yea, I was wondering about that too.” Hiken said in suspicion. “What are you hiding, Ryu?”

 

“Me? I'm not hiding anything.” Ryu said with a mischievous smirk, hands up in defense, backing away slowly from Aya. Aya and Hiken narrowed their eyes as they started walking forward.

 

Ryu smirked saying, “I swear! I'm not hiding anything!”

 

“Yea right!” Hiken grabbed Ryu's collar, pulling her closer to them. “I know that smirk! Come on, you can't hide from me or Aya…ain't that right Aya? Is she lying?”

 

Aya nodded frantically with a wide smile. “Yep!”

 

Ryu's smirk grew into a wide fox-like grin as Hiken shook her.

 

“Tell me why you're here!” Hiken yelled at her.

 

Ryu smirked and said, “It's because of the Tournament of the Shinobi…” Hiken and Aya gasped as their eyes widened…
