Deidara looked into Sasori's warm chocolate eyes and smiled.
They were in the banks of a huge lake that they ran across as they returned from their mission. Sasori had told his partner to rest there, since they had been going none stop for three days now. Deidara's visible eye already showed signs of tiredness and one of his arms was severely injured.
“How's your arm?” Sasori asked, as he watched his arms on the crystalline water.
“It's perfect!” Deidara lied. “I don't even feel pain anymore, uhn.” He immediately flinched, when he felt Sasori's wet hand touched his injured arm. Deidara didn't want Sasori to notice how much pain he was going through, since it made him feel weak. His danna couldn't feel any pain while he could, and a lot. “Danna…” he moaned in pain.
“I've told you not to lie to me,” Sasori stated. He dipped a piece of cloth he kept with himself in the cold water and wrapped it around Deidara's arm. “Just because I can't feel physical pain, it doesn't mean I don't worry.”
Deidara's cheeks turned red. “I'm sorry, uhn,” he apologized.
“Don't be,” Sasori then said and gave him a smile. Deidara had never seen him smile before, so it took him by surprise. “Don't make that face, it makes me feel bad,” he commented, his cheeks getting red. “Besides, I too have feelings.”
Those words kept ringing in his head all day. Sasori could be so sweet when he was with him. It was as if his Sasori and Akasuna no Sasori were to completely different person. Obviously he preferred his Sasori, he was perfect.
“You seem distracted,” Itachi commented.
They had just attended an important meeting with the Akatsuki leader. Everyone has already left, leaving Itachi and Deidara alone. He looked at the Uchiha with hate and gave him a hypocrite smile. “Why do you care?”
Itachi looked at him with his dark eyes that still reflected all the sorrow his heart sealed. He looked into Deidara's blue eye and then at nowhere in particular. “I was just commenting, no need to get emotional.”
Deidara smiled. “Whatever…” he stood up and started walking towards the door, but before he could step out, Itachi grabbed his wrist looking at him intricately. “Let go!”
“Deidara, are you two together?” he asked.
“Excuse me, uhn?” Was he speaking about Sasori?
Itachi was now so close to Deidara, his breath was causing him chills. “You know I'm speaking of Sasori.”
Deidara swallowed hard and stepped back, trying to get Itachi out of his personal bubble. “Sasori is just my partner, yeah…” Deidara said nervously.
“Just say it, that you two are together…”
“I'm not with him,” Deidara answered, looking at the floor. “He doesn't like me.” He looked at Itachi; he had activated his sharingan and was looking directly into his visible eye. He knew he was looking into his mind; it wasn't the first time he'd done it.
“He likes you,” Itachi slurred. “And you liked him too…”
Deidara blushed intensively. “Shut up!” he screamed and ran away. For some reason, he felt tears forming in his eyes. Itachi always did this to him, that's why he hated him so much. As soon as he finally reached his room, he immediately threw himself in his bed and started crying. “Itachi is such an asshole, uhn,” he said.
Suddenly, Deidara felt a warm breath in his neck. It belonged to Sasori who was now looking at him carefully. His brown eyes were carefully exploring his body and as he noticed nothing was wrong with him, he moved to his eyes, which were still tainted with tears.
“What did he do to you?” Sasori asked.
He closed his blue eyes making more tears roll down his cheek. “He lies to me, gives me false hopes.”
“What did he tell you?”
“That you liked me,” Deidara muttered. He flipped in his bed, so his face was no facing his pillow. Sasori remained there, kneeling next to his bed in order to see him closely.
“What makes you think he's lying?” Sasori asked. Deidara turned his head so he would be facing Sasori. To his surprise, Sasori's face was just inches away from his. Before he knew it, Sasori was kissing him passionately.
His hard lips tasted like wood, but it wasn't a bad taste. He actually liked it. Sasori soon got on top of Deidara, still kissing him with all his might. Deidara tried to keep up, but it seems his partner's eagerness was too much to handle.
Sasori wanted to feel Deidara's skin; it was soft, so perfect. When he met Deidara and realized his feelings he started regretting turning himself into a puppet. Yes, he could feel just as if it was normal skin but it just wasn't the same. Deidara must have noticed that fact already. How hard and strange his skin was.
“Danna…” Deidara moaned.
“Yes?” Sasori questioned, stopping the kisses and just looking at him.
“I want to be yours…”
