Okay, so to start off.. I do not own Naruto, or Naruto Shippuuden or ANY of the characters made up in this story. It is completely fiction, none of it is real, although SOME scenes I take out from the original show.

This story starts off with the return of Uzumaki Naruto, put into his Point of View. A pretty short chapter, meh - probably nothing interesting either, but please keep in mind it WILL be taking quite some time to upload since.. school starts - once again, tomorrow. I'll jsut wrap this quick author intro up, and enjoy the story! :)


"Ahh, Naruto, brings back memories doesn't it."

"Hmm.." I softly said to myself.

"It's been a long time, since you were training these past 3 years." Jiraiya added, walking ahead.

"Mhm.. I wonder if anyone will remember me." I said as I jumped on top of the highest point of a building near me.

"You haven't changed that much Naruto, people will recognize you I'm sure." Jiraiya said, raising his voice as I went further up.

'Hmm.. how nostalgic.. I remember the last time I was up here taking a good last view of the village before I left for my training.' I thought to myself as I stood tall looking at the faces of the present and previous Hokages carved into the cliff. 'One day my face will be up there, I'll make sure of it, then everybody will acknowledge me.' I thought again, pointing a finger to the faces grinning wide.

"Everyone! Uzumaki Naruto has returned!"

"Narutooo! Is that you?" I heard a familiar voice call out to me from down below. I jumped down to see who it was since I couldn't get a good look from up here.

"Oh - Sakura-chaaaaan! It's been so long!" I grinned, one hand on my hip, and the other scratching the back of my head.

"I know, I didn't recognize you at first with what you're wearing. What happened to your old clothes?"

"I out grew them a little, and my training was so intense that my clothes began to tear apart so Ero-sennin bought me some new clothes. Even my forehead protector became so worn out that I had to get a new one. How could you not recognize me?"

"Well first off, you aren't wearing a big orange jumpsuit." she smiled. I smiled a bit and scratched my cheek.

"And second you a- wait a second." she stepped towards me until our noses were almost touching. I blushed a bit, until she lifted her hand above our heads. She measured our height, I looked down and sighed. " You're taller than me!" she seemed both upset and surprised.

"Hahaha, well, I guess so." I grinned, both hands behind my head.

"I bet you got stronger too.." her eyes lowered.

"I think you did too." I said, checking her out a bit.

"So Naruto.. do you think I've changed? Maybe became more 'womanly'?" she fluttered her eyes.

"Ahh, Sakura-chan you haven't changed a bit." I said closing my eyes and smiling.

"Idiot!" she punched me in the face.

"Psh.. Naruto you truly are an idiot. You have no idea how a oman's heart works." Jiraiya sighed, nodding his head horizontally with his hand over his eyes.

"Bahh.. Sakura-chan.. no need for violence after I just got back, I'm still recovering.." I said trying to stand up.

"Oi! Is that Naruto? Hey it is! Oh, Naruto!"

"Even if it does bring back memories." I finished my sentence before I heard a few voices calling out my name. I turned to see two people walking towards me. I didn't really remember them.

"Here comes Shikamaru and Temari."

"Ooh, Shikamaru you say? The lazy kicking slacker?"

"He's smarter than he looks Naruto." Sakura glared at me.

"Ey, Naruto, it's been a while. When did you get back?"

"Shikamaru! Yeah it has, how you been? And I just got back, actually."

"Meh, same stuff. How did your training go? Must have gone well, look at you. Wearing everything new."

"Hah yeah, Sakura-chan also mentioned that." I looked at the girl next to him. "Uhh.. who are you again?" I asked with a nervous smile patting her shoulder.

"Naruto you idiot. That's Temari, remember?"

"Temari.. Temari.. Oh! Gaara's sister?"

"And Kankuro's."

"Well, I best be on my way Naruto, I'll see you later."

"Ero-sennin, where you going?"

"Around. Later, Naruto." and with that he vanished.

"Anyway, what are you doing here? Aren't you from the Sand? Why would you be in Konoha? Or are you dating Shikamaru.." I winked.

"Chunin Exams. And adding to that, Gaara sent me out to run an errand here. I can't disagree with him, after all, he IS the Kazekage."

"Kazekage huh..?"

"Naruto.." Sakura-chan softly said.

"Well now that Gaara is Kazekage, I HAVE to be Hokage. He must be really strong now too, I can't wait to see him again. Heh, speaking of Hokage, let's go visit Granny Tsunade, I haven't seen her much either."

"Good thing, because we were supposed to bring you to her. That's why we came looking for you." Shikamaru said, looking up at the sky.

"Well should we be going then?" Temari asked.

"Let's." Sakura replied.


We were all walking towards the Hokage faces when we past Ichiraku Ramen. Sure was nostalgic, I haven't been there in so long. And the ramen.. so good.. never had anything like it. My stomach grumbled and I almost felt sick because I was so hungry. I stopped walking and everyone turned around and looked at me.

"What is it Naruto?" Sakura asked.

"I'm hungry." I pointed to Ichiraku Ramen.

"Ahh Naruto.. we don't have time, come on." Shikamaru said starting to walk.

"You go on ahead. I'm going to stay here and grab something to eat. It's getting dark and past my dinner time and I am starving."

"Well, I guess it couldn't hurt. Just don't be late to get there. Temari, Sakura and I will go on ahead then."

"Actually.." Sakura softly said.

"Hmm?" we all looked at her.

"I'll stay with Naruto, I don't want him to go alone."

Surprised, Shikamaru raised and eyebrow. "How troublesome.. just don't be late. Tsunade-sama will be upset and you know how she is when she's upset more than anyone Sakura." and with that, they walked on ahead while Sakura stayed by my side.

I just stared at Sakura with a raised eyebrow. Why did she want to stay? I'm pretty sure the reason she gave Shikamaru wasn't the real reason. Ahh well. Sakura smiled at me blushing slightly.

"Sakura-chan.."

And with that, me and Sakura walked into the ramen bar and sat down beside each other.

"Good evening you two! What'll it be?"

"Hey old man. Don't you remember me?"

"N-Naruto?" Teuchi stuttered.

"What about Naruto?"

"Iruka-sensei!" me and Sakura both exclaimed.

"Naruto! When did you get back?"

"Not too long ago, I was just on my way to Granny Tsunade's but I decided to stop here for a little while."

"And Sakura?"

"I didn't want him to go alone." she blushed.

"Ahh I see."

"So I take it three large bowls of ramen?" Ayame questioned. Both me and Iruka-sensei looked down at Sakura.

"What are you both looking at?!" she almost yelled, but had a pouting face on and her eyes widened.

"Ahhh! Sakura-chan we were just wondering if you wanted a large bowl of ramen!" I cried, putting my hands in front of my face as if she were to hit me, and leaning on Iruka-sensei. She smiled a reassuring yes.

It took about 10 minutes to prepare the ramen I so longed for, and when they passed the bowl to me I immediatly took a pair of chopsticks and broke them. I shoved a whole mouthful of noodles in my mouth and swallowed before screaming at how hot it was. I looked down at the food and started to think.

I remember, coming here all the time with Iruka-sensei, talking about being a ninja, remember myself saying I want to be Hokage. Sakura would always say that's all I ever talked about, hokage this, and hokage that. It's just..

FLASHBACK

"Let's see.. why don't you introduce yourselves first?"

"Introduce ourselves? What should we say?" Sakura asked.

"What you like, hate, your dreams, and hobbies. Something like that."

"Hey, hey, why don't you introduce yourself first, Sensei." I said.

"Me? I'm Hatake Kakashi. Iave no intention of telling you my likes and dislikes. As for my dreams..' Sasuke, Sakura, and I looked at each other. 'I have a few hobbies."

"So all we found out was his name." Sakura said annoyed. I nodded.

"Now your turn. You first."

Sasuke folded his hands and put them in front of his mouth and smirked. 'My name is Uchiha Sasuke,' I could see Sakura's eyes light up in complete love for him, I just looked away. 'I hate a lot of things, and I don't particularly like anything. What I have is not a dream, because I will make it a reality. I'm going to restore my clan, and kill a certain man."

We all stared at Sasuke after he said that, and I just sat on that step giving him a look thinking I hope he's not referring to me. I could barely hear it, but I think I heard Kakashi-sensei say, I thought so.

"Okay, next."

"My name is Haruno Sakura! I like.. well, the person I like is..." I could just see her putting her hands on her face squealing, looking at Sasuke. And my hobby is... well, and my dream is..."

"And, what do you hate?"

"Naruto." she replied. I nearly just looked away pretending not to care.

"Girls like you are probably more interested in love than ninja training." Kakashi-sensei groaned, rolling his eye. "Okay, last guy."

"I'm Uzumaki Naruto. I like cup ramen, but I like the ramen at Ichiraku that Iruka-sensei bought for me even more. I hate the three minutes I have to wait after I put the hot water. My hobby is to eat and compare cup ramens! And my dream.. is to become Hokage, the greatest out of all the Hokage's so that everyone will acknowledge my existence!"

"IDIOT! THAT'S ALL YOU EVER TALK ABOUT HOKAGE THIS AND HOKAGE THAT!" Sakura screamed out to me, punching me in the face sending my flying into a pole.

"All right settle down you two. It seems like you three all have unique personalities.. I like that."

"Damn you Naruto and your Hokage dreams." Sakura quietly said.

FLASHBACK END

I smiled and looked down at my ramen, getting quite cold. Sakura and Iruka-sensei were already done and I looked up to see them staring at me. I grinned and finished up my ramen, but inside I was still thinking.. thinking at how stupid I was when I was a kid.

We were about to leave when I remembered to pay. I took out my frog wallet and opened it up and nervously laughed, looking at Iruka-sensei. He sighed and put his hand on his head and started to take out his wallet.

"No need to pay Iruka, my treat. Free for today just for Naruto!" Teuchi smiled.

"Thanks ojii-san!" I grinned. "Well let's start heading toward Granny Tsunade's then?" I turned to Iruka-sensei.

"Uhh.. you two go on ahead, I have to finish up an errand.'

"All right, we'll see you later." I smiled and started walking on ahead.

"Oh and Naruto.." I turned around. "welcome back."

"Thanks Iruka-sensei." I smiled again. With that he left, and I turned to Sakura who smiled and started walking on ahead.

I looked up to the now starry sky. It was probably around 9 o'clock by now. I jumped up onto a roof of an apartment building and walked to the edge and sat down.

"Naaarutooo! Where did you go?" I could hear Sakura's faint cry.

"Up here Sakura-chan!" I waved. She jumped up and sat down beside me.

"What're you doing up here Naruto?" she looked at me, probably confused and irritated.

"I don't know," I was now lying down on the top of the apartment building, looking at the moon and stars. "I guess I can't believe I'm back. I've been gone for 3 years.. and now I'm back in Konoha." I started to chuckle.

"What's so funny?" she said, a little pissed I bet.

"I remember last time I was up here getting my last view of Konoha before leaving with Ero-sennin. I was so eager to leave, so impatient, then I remember half-way to our destination I started crying and complaining that I missed everyone, that I wanted to go back.."

FLASHBACK

"Ero-sennin! Let's go already! I want to start training now!"

"Wait Naruto, don't be so eager. Just cherish these last moments in Konoha because you won't be coming back here for a while."

"I don't care! Let's goooooooo!"

"Heh, fine. Let's be on our way now."

"Wahooo!' I jumped down onto solid ground. 'I'm going to be training with a legendary ninja and going to be stronger than everyone!"

Half-way there..

'Hey are we there yet? We've been walking forever."

"Come on Naruto this is nothing. Pull yourself together."

"Pleeeease can we take a break? I'm tired, and it's already night, I want to sleep a bit. We walked two days straight."

"All right, all right. We'll set up camp here then."

When Ero-sennin finally went to sleep I got out of the little tent he set up and walked towards a large rock under a tree.

I got to it and started lying down on the rock looking at the stars, the moon.. they were beautiful. "Gone three years huh..? Man that's some time.. It's only been a couple days and I miss everyone already.."

"I told you to cherish those last moment in Konoha." Jiraiya walked up next to me.

"I didn't know I'd be gone that long.."

"You miss Sakura?"

"What?!" I sat up instantly blushing, and my eyes wide open.

"Hahahaah," Jiraiya laughed.

"What's so funny Ero-sennin!?" I pouted, still blushing.

"Oh, Naruto.. but is it true?"

I turned my head away from him and looked up at the moon. "Yeah.. but it's not like she would care. Not many people will know I'm even gone."

I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked behind me to see Jiraiya looking at the moon too, smiling. "Not true Naruto."

"Huh?"

He looked me in the eye and said, "I'm sure everyone is missing you right now, especially Sakura."

FLASHBACK END

I laughed, "I was such a fussy kid.. I hated when someone was better than me, I always wanted to be the best." then sat up to sit beside Sakura.

"It's a bit sad.. but Naruto.. you've really grown up."

"You think so?"

"Yeah, you've probably gotten much stronger too.."

"Everyone has. Even you, since you trained with Granny Tsunade huh? That must have been brutal" I joked.

"Haha yeah it was. I can't believe I'm still alive even after it.." she looked at me, laughing.

"Uhh.. Sakura-chan?" I mumbled.

"What is Naruto?" she questioned.

"Did you.. miss me while I was gone?" I quietly asked. I looked at her, and I waited for an answer, but there was only silence.

She simply stared at me, making me feel a little uncomfortable then finally, she smiled. "Of course I did Naruto, why wouldn't I?"

"Well it's just.. before. When me, you and Sasuke were still a team.. you always called me annoying."

"Naruto.."

"But you didn't really know how it felt. You were just another person that neglected me for who I was, I wasn't special, I didn't have any brothers or sisters, no parents. It's all because of this damn demon fox.. and all those pranks I pulled when I was little was so I could be recognized. No one payed attention to me, and the only way I could get them to was by acting like an idiot, and pulling pranks. Haha, I even remember having a little crush on you back then too," I remembered, looking down below.

"but you were so obsessed with Sasuke, the only way I could get you to even look at me was by picking fights with him; even that though, failed. I didn't know what to do. Heh, things sure have changed since then haven't they Sakura-chan?" I turned my head, to see Sakura staring at me, directly in my eyes.

It reminded me of the one time I sabotaged Sasuke and tied him up, then transformed into him and was about to kiss Sakura before my stomach acted up again. But this time, I'm not Sasuke, I'm me; Uzumaki Naruto.

I shifted a little, heart pounding, and feeling quite uneasy. "Wha - what is it Sakura-chan? Why are you looking at me like that?" I yelped.

"Naruto I have to tell you something.. I -"

"Hey, you two come with me right away! Damn I told you not to be late."

"Fuck it Shikamaru, you have to come at such a bad time. We were in the middle of a good conversation here!" I cursed.

"Psh, spare me. Get to it."

And with that we all stood up and ran towards the Five Hokage faces.


"Oi! Shikamaru! Slow down you prick!" I yelled out to him, slowing down to catch my breath. 'Damn leg, heal faster!' I thought.

"Dah, Naruto you're slowing us down, what's the hold up? You're always first by far at these sort of things." Shikamaru cussed, sitting down at the edge of the building in front of me, crossing his arms.

"It's nothing, I'm just a bit tired from uh.. all the running I did back here." I lied, which I'm clearly not good at.

"Hmm.. that's not like you.. you're usually so full of energy no matter what happens."

"Running 3 days straight -" I coughed, "trust me, not even I can handle it." I got up.

"Shall we go then?" Sakura asked.

"Yeah." Shikamaru answered. I simply nodded and stayed behind them the whole way there. If only if it wasn't for this leg..

FLASHBACK

It was on the way back to Konoha when me and Ero-sennin ran into some unexpected trouble.

"So we meet once again nine-tails."

"Kabuto!"

"Heh. So you recognize me as well don't you? Naruto?" a smirk formed across his face.

"Damn four-eyes. What the hell are you doing here?"

"I'm just running an errand, and passing by. Don't get so worked up fox-demon." he laughed.

"Where's Sasuke!"

"I'll be on my way now, I'll see you in time, Naruto." he started walking by us.

"Answer my QUESTION four-eyes! Where the fuck is Sasuke!"

"Where do you think? With Orochimaru-sama of course, probably out training."

"Where!?

"Psh, you think I would tell you?"

"Naruto, calm down!"

"Damn you.. damn you Kabuto.. tell me where Sasuke is.. or I'll KILL YOU!"

"Naruto stop! Your cloak is forming!"

"Acting out on anger, eh? Typical of you. I won't tell you where Sasuke is, go find him yourself and stop bothering me about it."

With that I could see my first tail formed. I went in for attack.

"DAMN YOU KABUTO, I'LL FORCE IT OUT OF YOU!" I screamed, charging at him with great speed.

He simply stood there, as I hit him. But as soon as my hand went through his body, a cloud of smoke formed.

"Damn, a Kage Bunshin?"

"Too easy."

I turned around to see a fast running Kabuto coming towards me, I couldn't move; then..

"Narutoooooo!"

I fell to the ground and his hand struck me right leg.

"Next time don't be so careless." I could see Kabuto say, as he walked away. I tried getting up but it was no use.

My leg, it was paralyzed. I could feel a piece of paper being stuck to my forehead as I looked up.

Ero-sennin pulled off the seal with a smile. "Don't be so reckless Naruto, you'll find Sasuke, eventually."

I clenched my fists. "Let's go." he started walking.

I tried getting up, and forced my right leg to walk after Jiraiya. Hell did it hurt. I limped after him, more like hopped really.

The feeling in my stomach, the back of my head, it was telling me to go after Kabuto.. but I missed Konoha, I missed everyone.. I had to go back.. I needed to see Sakura-chan.. but I hope my leg won't slow me down..

FLASHBACK END

Sakura, Shikamaru, and I got up to the Hokage faces, we were about to walk inside when Shikamaru stopped us. "Walk in here," he gestured.

"But isn't Granny Tsunade's office up ah -"

"Nope she's in here." he smiled, raising a brow.

"Damn I hope this isn't one of your tricks." I walked inside looking behind me at Shikamaru.

Bright lights turned on and I rubbed my eyes. "SURPRISE!"

I could see many faces appear from behind tables, counters, doors, you name it. My eyes widened as I felt hands on my shoudlers. I looked to my left and right seeing Sakura and Shikamaru.

They smiled, "Welcome home Naruto."

I looked forward and saw everyone, Iruke-sensei, Kakashi-sensei, hell even fuzzy brows and his team's Jonin, Gai.

Kiba, Shino, Hinata, even Chouji and Ino, Asuma-sensei, Konohamaru, Shizune, and sure enough Granny Tsunade. Everyone was here, everyone.. they threw a party just for my return..

I really was acknowledged.. I really did exist to people.. I really WAS missed. I smiled and walked forward, looking down.

"Thank you everyone but.." I could hear silence.

"Let's stop with surprises.. and let's get this party STARTED!" I jumped up grinning.

I could hear music playing and people shouting. "You've gotten big, Naruto."

I turned my head to see a familiar face, well, a familiar part of face anyway, of Kakashi-sensei.

"Sensei, you haven't changed at all!" I pulled out something from my back pocket. "Ah that's right, I have a present for you, look here, look here!"

"This is such a nostalgic sight, isn' it?" I could hear Granny Tsunade's voice.

"Yeah, it is." Sakura replied.

His face turned into a twist of amazement and horror. "WHAT!?" he started shaking, "Y-You... Th-Th-This is..."

"You see, this is the first new book from the Make-out Paradise series in three years! It's really boring. But you like this, don't you Kakashi-sensei?"

"Ahhh, you fool! As if a brat like you would be able to understand just how interesting it is!" Ero-sennin yelled at me. "And that one hasn't even been put into circulation yet."

"Ehehe." I nervously laughed, scratching my head. I could see Kakashi-sensei shaking while opening the first page of the book. He just screamed out and everyone stopped what they were doing and looked around.

"Naruto-kun.." Hinata mumbled.

I turned red and pointed at Kakashi-sensei and everyone turned around and continued their chattering. I got up and started walking around, "Hope you enjoy that Sensei!"

I walked around and saw Kiba and some kid with a hood. "Oyeh! Kiba!"

"Naruto! Hey!"

"It's been awhile hasn't it, Kiba?"

"Sure has. Man you've grown, from being a total shrimp."

"Fuck you," I joked. "where's your hood jacket?"

"I decided to get rid of it, it got too hot in the jacket sometimes."

"HOLY SHIT!"

"What?"

"LOOK AT THE SIZE OF AKAMARU! HE'S HUGE!"

"Oh really? I never really noticed it, I've been with him so long haha." Kiba laughed.

'How could he not notice...' I thought, raising my eyebrow.

"Do, you remember me, Naruto?"

"Uhh.. what?"

"Do you remember me."

"Who are you..?" I ran up to the guy in the hooded jacket, his whole face was basically covered.

"You can't remember?"

"Uhh.. well I've kinda been gone a l -" I was interrupted by the hooded figure once again.

"Why? Because you're stupid."

"Huh!? No that's not it! Wait.. that annoying way of talking, and those bugs flying near you.. you must be.. Shino!"

"He finally remembered."

"Well no one is going to recognize you when you cover your whole damn face up!"

"Hahaha, he does have a point there, Aburame."

"Naruto-kun.."

"Oh, Hinata? Is that you?"

"Uhm, I.."

"Oi, Hinata!"

"You recognize her right away.."

"Oh damn it Aburame, stop sulking." Kiba snapped.

"Hey Naruto!" I turned around to see Sakura waving at me.

"Oh, looks like I got a call. I'll catch you guys later. If you two find Hinata, tell her I said hey."

With that I ran through the crowd toward Sakura, who was standing in front of a door.

When I got to her she opened the door and pulled me inside.

"Sakura-chan.. what is it?" I asked.

"I didn't get to finish what I was saying earlier.." she blushed.

She pushed me into a wall, when I accidentally opened a cabinet in the room.

"Naruto. I l -" I blinked and she stopped talking.

There was a big flash of light and she was gone. "Sakura-chan? Hey, Sakura-chan this isn't funny, where are you?"

I searched for her all over the room then eventually went back out to find her in the crowd. Many people stopped to talkt o me for a bit but I simply said I'll be right back and continued my search.

Giving up, I went back to the room, and remember the cabinet I opened. I looked inside and rummaged through the boxes inside, then, another flash of light..


"Naruto! Wake up! You'll be late for school dear!"

"Huh? What?" I woke up, confused.

"Man what a party that was, I can't remember anything that happened last night."

Getting to the bottom of the stairs, I rubbed my eyes, then sat on a chair putting my hands on the table. "Eat your ramen quick, it's already getting cold. It's not like you to get up so late, what did you do last night?" the woman said, handing over the bowl of ramen.

"Oh, thanks, and I don't know."

"I'm off to work now Kushina, I'll see you later. Have a good day at school today son!" the man said, kissing the woman and heading out the door.

"Bye Minato!" the woman waved, smiling. "Oh, your father. He didn't even finish his breakfast.."

Woah, woah, wooooaah! What the fuck is going on here? Son? I have a father? Who is Minato, and who's Kushina? Where am I? School? I graduated when I was 12! What the fuck is going on here?


I began to walk to this.. school I was told to go to. I had no idea what was going on here, and I had no idea where I was going. I didn't know anyone, and I was living with people I only knew the names of.

Before I left to go to school I ran upstairs to see a computer. Whatever that is.. I knew what it was, and how to work it. I knew a lot of thigns for some reason; like that flash last night brought me to a different world, giving me plenty of knowledge about Konoha and wherever this is. I wonder if I still have all of my jutsu techniques..

Anyways - back to the computer. Before I left I went online and got a map to what my 'school' was, Konoha High. Maybe this town, or city is called Konoha as well?

I followed the map to the school, taking a wrong turn or two, but finally seeing the high school at last. I jumped form roof to roof of the several homes in front of me and finally getting onto the school grounds to see a large fountain in the middle. The large bell rung, and boy was it loud, and everyone started their way inside. So many people.. how was I supposed to find my way around here?

"Oyeh! Naruto!" I heard a voice calling out to me. I turned around, and I was happy, very happy to see a very familiar face.


Who is this familiar face that Naruto has seen, other words, the voice that called out to him? What happened to Sakura? And where is Naruto? Who is this Kushina and Minato he lives with? Only one way to find out - in the next Chapter of New Era!

Well I hope you liked the first Chapter folks! More coming soon! Oh.. and by the way, the word 'Oyeh' is pronounced 'oi-eh' but with a y in between the two words to make it oyeh. Dah isn't a word either, just plainly like a sound people make, like bah or ah. If you guys see any typos and such, please message me and I'll make sure I fix that up. :)
