West Side Konoha
"See you later, Itachi! I have to go to work." Sasuke quickly yelled as he exited the compound, on his way to his part-time job as a convenience store worker.
AT HIS JOB
"Good morning, Sasuke." The stores manager, Kakashi, greeted the boy.
"Morning, Kakashi. Man, I still can't belive that a jounin like you needs a part-time job! With all of the missions you go on, don't you at least make enough to make it?" Sasuke asked his boss/sensei.
"Well, I do make more than enough money as a ninja, but, I always get really bored when I don't have a mission." Kakashi explained.
"Okay..." Sasuke said, hardly believing that anyone could find enjoyment from doing extra work.
"By the way, a girl is going to start working here, today. She's being transferred here from our other store in East Konoha." Kakashi explained to his co-worker," I believe her name's Hinata Hyuuga. So, don't be mean just because of her clan, and, I don't think we can have your brother and his gang visiting here much anymore. I know how much they all hate the Hyuuga. I'll tell her not to invite the Hyuuga either."
"Yeah, sure." Sasuke said, lost in his own thoughts over Hinata.' What a coincidence! She must be the girl from the dance. Now that I think about it, she must be a ninja herself, since she went to the dance. I wonder why I never met her? Oh well. I'm glad she's coming here. I'm not sure why, but, it makes me very happy.'
"Umm, I-I'm Hinata Hyuuga. I w-was transferred h-here." Sasuke suddenly was brought out of his thoughts by the sound of a very timid and familiar voice.
"Ah! Good, you're here. My name is Kakashi Hatake, and I'm the manager of this store. This is Sasuke Uchiha, your new co-worker." Kakashi said happily to the girl.
"O-oh. I-it's nice to m-meet y-you." She said, bowing to them both.
"It's nice to meet you, too. Now, let me explain the procedures here." Kakashi said to the girl, thus getting into an explanation into what she would be doing here.
"Well then, now that you're settled in, I'm going to go. My lunch starts soon, and I'm really hungry. So, watch the shop, you two." Kakashi said as he 'poofed' away without a trace.
"I-it's nice to see you again, S-Sasuke." Hinata said, turning towards the said person.
"Yeah..." Sasuke muttered, as a very frequent, not to mention annoying customer entered the small store.
"Oh! Sasuke! It's so nice to see you!" Screeched Ino.
"Ugh..." Sasuke muttered as he waited for her to leave.
"C-can I help y-you, I-Ino?" Asked Hinata, timdly.
"Oh, you work here now, Hinata? That's nice. Well, would you mind helping me find some pink lip gloss?" Ino replied to the girl.
"S-sure..." Hinata replied, as she went over to the small section of lip gloss and started looking for pink.
"Ah, here, I-Ino." Hinata said as she held up some pink lip gloss." Is this all you need?"
"Oh, yeah. Thanks Hinata." Ino replied, as she turned away from her task of trying, and failing, to seduce Sasuke.
Sasuke quickly rang up the price of the lip gloss, got her to pay, and ushered her out.
"Sasuke, it's o-our lunch break. W-would you l-like to go s-somewhere, t-together, that is." Hinata offered, figuring it was the polite thing to do.
"Huh? Oh.. sure." The Uchiha replied as he made his way out of the room with Hinata, afterwards, locking the door.
"W-where should we g-go?" Hinata asked, twiddling her fingers.
'Where could we go that we know we won't see any other Uchiha's and Hyuuga's?'Sasuke wondered." Hm... let's go to that fast food place, Del Taco."
"S-sure." Hinata agreed as they made thier way towards the said food facility.
'Yes, just as I figured, no other Uchiha's or Hyugas would settle for fast food, no matter how hungry they were.' Sasuke thought as they walked into Del Taco and got in line to order. Once Hinata and Sasuke got their food, they decided to go to the bench near where they worked to eat.
"How's your food?" Sasuke asked, unwilling to bite into his until he knew it wasn't gross. He himself had never before settled for mere fast food before today.
"O-oh it's p-pretty good, S-Sasuke. I-I've never had f-ast food before." She explained to him.
"Neither have I." He said as he looked at his food suspiciously for a moment, before carefully taking a small bite of it. 'Hey, this is pretty good! Better than alot of that fancy stuff I'm always eating!' Sasuke thought before saying to Hinata, "It's Okay."
Hinata giggled a bit at this, because he clearly liked the fast food quite a bit, judging by how he suddenly began eating much quicker, and by how, when he was done, there wasn't a crumb left.
"Let's go back to work." Sasuke said as he stood and held out his hand to Hinata to help her up. She gladly took it, but, he didn't let go once she was safely standing. Instead, he held onto it all the way tp the store. And, strangely, neither seemed to mind. In fact, they were both quite happy like that.
