The swampy bog of Sound has an ominous fog surround the shallow water of the large swamp where the Sound shinobi had the dead woman's body. Her body floated in the water in a bed of weeds and dirt, with herbs as foreign as the distance seas of a third world country. It was all according to the head leader's plan, to subdue Suna until they were forced to join. Especially when the shinobi had figured out the vital part of Suna's great pride, the woman they idolized and cherished. He eyed her naked body in the water, she probably was very attractive in her living state. The shinobi smirked to himself as he continued to gaze at her, maybe once his jutsu was finished he would awaken her spirits with a little playfullness.
Shaking his head, the shinobi continued spreading the herbs on her body as the swamp water began to wreak of dead flesh. He then put his hand signs together as the water began to glow a very bright blue as the jutsu started to work. Chants and incantations were whispered as the shinobi sealed the contract with death. The contract consisted of not giving the woman true life, but a hollow shell of what her soul once was and that he had control of her life and death.
Once the jutsu was complete, he watched as the veins pumped pure chakra in her veins. No blood. No true life. Not a full soul. The woman that was now awakening from death's eternal sleep was just a flash of a life that was once her own, but no longer. Her light brown eyes opened slowly as she began to sit up from the water. The shinobi, pleased with his work, crawled over to her and held her upper arm, "My beauty, you live a second life."
"I lived only once," she murmured as she faced him.
"I am your precious 'god' now, I have brought you back," the shinobi reached to her breast and caressed it softly, "I control everything about you."
He moved his hand from her torso down to her womanhood where he felt the hollow of her untouched parts. How tight she was, and how he desired to have his way with her for just a second. The shinobi moved to where he was on top of her, "Remove my pants."
"I cannot," she shook her head slowly, "I am married to the Kazekage of Suna, my heart only goes to him."
"He has remarried and moved on from your wretchedness," the shinobi stated angrily as he gripped her jaw, "That man has loved another woman and has forgotten you, you are nothing to him."
This seemed to displease the woman as her eyes went from innocent to horrified, "That can't be true, Gaara loved me like no other man could."
"This is true, he has no idea that you have been awakened from your eternal slumber," the shinobi removed his pants, "Another woman shares his bed, another woman is called 'mother' by your son, and that same woman holds Gaara's chair when he's away. You are forgotten. You are nothing more than a distant memory. That is all that you are, my dear."
There was such a silence where the shinobi guessed that she was such in a state of shock that she could die on her own. One thing caught the eyes of the shinobi as he leaped away from her, the woman stood in stark nakedness as she rose in the water. His eyes widened when her fists were tightened to the point where some of her skin cracked from such firmness. He went towards her slowly, "That's why i've brought you back to some form of life, to get revenge on his infedility. I am your only ally here, and i'll do anything for you to get your revenge."
He watched her skeptical eyes wander him carefully, she was contemplating his offer. When her fists lightened, the shinobi closed in on her and took her in his embrace, "Follow me, my dear, and let me prepare you to be the leader of all Sound shinobi and kunoichi alike."
"A leader? Of Sound?" her voice was almost like an angel's calling of innocent purity.
"Have no fear, my dear, you will be the top kunoichi of the world, not just of some little country," the shinobi placed his head on top of hers, "Have full trust in me."
*~*~*~*Gaara*~*~*~*
Gaara gave the news to Naruto, requesting an imediate search party in hopes of retrieving Ura's corpse. What displeased Gaara was Naruto's hesitation when it came to her stolen body, "Dammit, Naruto, don't you hear what i'm saying?"
"I fully understand," Naruto put his hands up as he took a step away from the Kazekage, "But you need to get something... What could they possibly do to her now?"
This simple statement sent Gaara in a whirlwind of rage, curiosity, and fear as his fists were balled up to a point of blood. With Gaara's chakra eminating off of him quickly, Sakura was the first to enter the office with a kunai in her hand, "Gaara, you better calm down now."
Taking in a few deep breaths, and slightly embaressed, Gaara managed to calm down. He glared out the window in the direction where he could sense Ura's body just faintly. His only request was a small search party to go into Sound in hopes of retrieving Ura's body. But, Gaara hadn't guessed that Naruto truly meant that he should wait things out. Especially...with his current wife waiting for him in the village. Though as much as a disgrace he called himself for marrying such a woman, he had to respect the fact that he had 'moved on' with his life, even if it was a lie to him.
Naruto could tell the inward battle Gaara was struggling with, almost like he was losing his sense of reality with Ura physically taken away from him. But what could Sound honestly do to Ura now that she's fully dead and never coming back? He looked over at Sakura, but she was at a loss to say as well. What could be said? 'Sorry, but you have to go back to your wife and kid now'? Naruto couldn't do that to Gaara, not when they've experienced so many things together and this was one of them.
"Ok...lemme grab some quick shinobi and we'll leave right now," Naruto took off his ceremonial robes, "Sakura, say your good-byes to Ino, you're coming with us."
"What!? But Ino's really pregnant and-"
"That's an order!" Naruto yelled loudly as he went out the door.
Sakura stood in complete disbelief as she knew the anger and terror on Ino's face when she told her. She turned her head towards Gaara as her eyes widened in frustration, he was to blame for all of this. No. Though she didn't want to think about it, but it was Ura's fault yet again. It was always Ura's fault in Sakura's mind, even once they became better friends. Even in death...Ura still had control over people's lives and actions. As she glared at Gaara for those few seconds that seemed like hours, she could see that Gaara didn't even glance at her. Was it from fear? Or was it from shame? Sakura wanted to punch him for ever opening his mouth to Naruto, to ever stepping foot in Konoha, and to ever marrying Ura so none of this would have happened.
As swiftly as she entered the office, Sakura quickly left to inform Ino about her leave. Gaara remained in the office as he stared in the direction of Sound, it was only a matter of time now. Just barely a day's run away from where he could slightly sense Ura's body. There was something strange about the way he could sense her, still no heart beat but masses amount of chakra. What were they doing to her? Gaara couldn't even sanely think about something that horrible, at least to himself.
His eyes then widened in pure anger as he sensed a familiar chakra, Amane had entered Konoha. Gaara disappeared from the office to directly in front of Amane as his eyes continued to be wide and his vains noticable. Amane had never seen him in such a fearful state, she took a step back as she put her arms up, "I'm joining you, Gaara, i'm going to help you bring Ura back."
"I can't allow it," Gaara growled as he started to relax a bit, no use getting mad at her.
"I'm your wife! Give me something to be in your life," Amane's eyes started to tear up, her lips trembling.
"You are only a product of propaganda," Gaara took off the ring he shared with Amane and dropped it to the ground, "I might as well be a widower than any husband of yours."
Amane gazed at the ring as her tears dropped to the same ground, her mouth hung open in disbelief. Gaara felt Naruto's presense as the Hokage, Sakura, and Lee show up. It felt like the old gang, but without Sasuke, Kankurou, or Temari. Gaara appreciated how nostalgic things seemed without having to include Amane or any new person in it. It was better that way, then they would truly be bringing an old friend home.
"Don't worry, we'll get her back," Lee stated as he went up to Gaara, "I'll stop at nothing to bring my oldest friend home."
"Alright, let's get going... Oh, Gaara, do you want to say goodbye to your wife first?" Naruto glanced over at the quivering female that was still gazing at the ground, "Is...is she ok?"
"I don't know who she is," Gaara walked passed her, the others joined though they gazed sympathetically at her.
Amane remained at that same spot as she sensed Gaara's chakra fade away farther and farther. She slowly picked up the ring that he dropped and held it to her heart, if he only listened to her and understood her...he would know that she wanted to die at that moment. Amane lifted her head, her tears evaporated as her body temperature increased a few degrees. Her eyes narrowed to two hollow eye balls, she would have Gaara to herself and only her. She took off her own ring and held them in her right fists. In one swift squeeze, both rings turned to dust in the wind. Amane took off in a run out of the village as she followed Gaara's chakra.
Gaara and Naruto led the first flank as Sakura remained behind them while Lee ran just behind Sakura. Their mission was on the way now...
