Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ Words Aren't Forgotten ❯ Allegations and Accusations ( Chapter 9 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
It seemed like too many hours had passed as Ura waited in the cave. It was like her wedding day, she toyed with her old wedding ring on her finger, waiting for the moment when she would be spiritually and physically bound to Gaara. Now, she didn't know if the next few days would be her last time seeing him. Would he be mad that she was a walking corpse? Would he find her repulsive and say that their marriage was done when she died? Ura knew the truth that Gaara would never deny her like that. Especially after their first meeting after she was given the gift of life again. She nervously paced, a habit that her husband constantly used when he was also nervous. When a familiar presence came closer and closer, Ura held her breath until she felt her lungs were about to explode. Tears formed in her eyes again as a shadow appeared as the rain slowly began to fall.
Gaara entered the small cave and froze when Ura came to his sight. It was like their first time ever seeing each other as lovers instead of teammates. He could see every scar she ever recieved in battle on her body. She looked like she was about to cry, buy why? Wasn't she happy to see him? That was what Temari had said about an hour ago when she told him she had found Ura. Gaara slowly approached Ura, reaching out to her and saw her hand reach out to his as well. Ura walked over to him found that his warmth was better than anything she had felt before. Feeling his embrace as he held her cold body to his made it seem as if she had never died to begin with. Gaara pulled away slowly, pulling his hands to her face and softly held it in place as he kissed her just as softly. Nothing felt more right than knowing that Ura was in his grasp yet again. The perfection that made that moment made Gaara want to forget the world and just stay like that forever.
Ura returned his kiss gently, not wanting to rush into action nor hesitating. She pulled her hands to his face as well, kissing him as if she would never see him again. They were older now, no longer young enough to make love whenever they wanted. Both knew the dire situation beyond that cave and the danger they were in if seen together. In the moment as their lips and tongues met, the world was on their shoulders. Each fighting to see the other live another day. The days of ease were long gone, and Ura knew the only way to get those days back were to destroy the entire Sound Army.
She slowly pulled away and gazed into the frozen eyes that she had fallen in love with so many years ago. Gaara, the one she wanted the most, had waited many years for her to come back to him. Ura had everything she had ever wanted, the best of the best kunoichi of Suna, a husband she had always loved, a handsome son, and family and friends waiting for her. Not even death could keep her from all the luck she had been given. A smile formed on her lips as she gazed at Gaara, "I love you."
"I love you too," Gaara answered, holding her closer to him as his arms slipped to her waist, "I've waited a long time for you."
"I haven't stopped thinking about you," Ura whispered as she noticed how he was guiding them to the back of the cave, "Gaara, we can't.. Not here, not now."
His questionable eyes roamed to hers as a silent question appeared in his pupils. She guessed he had not slept with another woman since her. But, the next few days were going to be stressful with the Kumigakure about to be infiltrated by the Sound Army. It wasn't as if she wasn't in the mood, but...if that was their last meeting, she didn't want to make love to him because it was not perfect. She caressed his cheek as she shook her head, "We've always made love when the moment couldn't get better, but right now isn't that moment. I'm afraid we must wait untl the big plan is finished."
"I do not want to wait," Gaara commented as he had her up against the wall.
"Gaara, you do not want to make love to a corpse," Ura murmured as she put his hand against her womanhood, "I feel nothing here, I want to be alive if we can make love again."
Gaara knew of many mystics that could give life to the dead, but it was a sacrifice. A life for a life. He knew of only one mystic that would sacrifice their life for Ura's because he asked. Though, he didn't want to reveal it to Ura at the moment. It would be the gift of a lifetime between them. Ura saw Gaara back up a bit and just hold her against him. She was released from his grip as she made a small fire and pulled out some food and water from her pack. Tea was made after collecting some rain water and both talked about Osamu and the Sunagakure. Ura was displeased about the economic strife that was forming in her home village. But, she had heard that Osamu had a girlfriend and is even being discussed among the elders of being the next Kazekage. Though Gaara was at his prime age of being a Kazekage, they just wanted to make sure on who would be next in line.
It was like she was a Chunin again, before she and Gaara were lovers. They were friends after they returned to their village after the Chunin Exams, and the moments they were appreciating together felt like their hang outs before. Ura laughed at some of the stories Gaara told of raising their son. He left out his marriage to Amane to please his son, but Ura knew she had existed.
"Are you a married man now?" Ura asked as she ate some of the berries she packed.
"Yes," Gaara finished his tea and watched Ura's eyes widened, "To you."
Ura chuckled a little bit, noticing the ring on his finger was the same she had slipped on the same finger years ago. She felt some life form in her as she reminiced with Gaara more. The life they shared and created would never be forgotten between them. Gaara scooted over to her until she was practically leaning on him. Ura rested her head on his shoulder as Gaara rested his head on her own. No words had to go between them of the happiness that they brought each other. Ura reached over and held his hand, she could not feel anything except the warmth of his hand, "One day, I will be able to feel your skin on mine. I won't be a walking corpse."
"I wanted to tell you after the final battle, but I know someone who can restore life to you," Gaara mentioned as he murmured the information to her ear.
She turned her entire body towards Gaara as she waited for him to continue. Gaara felt a bit uncomfortable being put on the spot, then continued, "Do you remember the mystic Nanima?"
It took Ura a few moments to remember, then an image of a busty blonde formed in her head, "That wench!?"
Gaara nodded and gently took her hand, "She is in my service and has the orders to obey the command of giving you life."
"But that would mean giving her own life," Ura commented as she looked away, "I can't ask her that..."
"Yes, I can. Nanima has no other purpose in life than to obey my command," Gaara explained as he urged Ura to look at him, "She will willingly give her life to save yours."
Though Ura didn't want to take Nanima's life, she could see Gaara would have his way. A smile formed on his lips as she gazed at him, seeing a grown man blush made her smile even more. She couldn't wait to have her husband back when she had a living body, "You are kind to me, Gaara."
"I love you," Gaara leaned forward, but hesitated as he realized how close Ura was to him.
She leaned in as well and kissed him, finding that he has not changed over the years. A hesitant, shy lover, but she loved him for everything that he was and nothing less. Ura melted in their kiss as Gaara made a make shift bed for them to sleep on. With Ura back in his arms, the world was meaningless outside that cave.

"You do understand the accusation that you are saying could cost you your life at her hands?"
"If they were false, I would be afraid."
"Very well... I will send word after her attack on the Kumigakure, then she will be escorted to the closest site and questioned. Of course, you will be the one telling her the accusations."
"I understand."
"Good, I am sure everything will turn out for the best."
"I only wish the best for Sound."

Naruto

All he could guess was that Gaara was enjoying his time with Ura. He had not seen his friend in hours since he went up to the cave in secrecy. Naruto went over to Sasuke and sat besides him, rubbing his hand gently against his own. Sasuke slowly pulled his hand away from Naruto's, gazing at the wet wood as the rest of the group sat in the rain. Eversince Sasuke had arrived back at the group, Naruto had noticed how cold his partner was being. It had to have been Ura, but Sasuke didn't say what was done, only what was said. Then again, Naruto didn't have to ask that seeing Ura again brought up some old feelings. Naruto took Sasuke's hand back in his own, making the Uchiha glance over at him questionably.
"What, Naruto..?"
"I want you to tell me," Naruto whispered to him sharply, his blue eyes glistening, "I want you to tell me exactly what happened so I know what to do from here."
Sasuke hadn't seen Naruto like that in years. Naruto was always one to have a temper, but never with Sasuke. They would argue and bicker at eachother; Sasuke would wait until Naruto came back with an apology and the night would go on. This time... Sasuke could tell Naruto would not apologize for anything. Would he still have a partner to go home with if he spoke the truth? Naruto gripped his hand tighter, "Do you still love Ura?"
His silence was the answer. Naruto didn't let go of his hand as he turned away from Sasuke. Sasuke wanted to apologize that time, and for any other time where it was his fault and not Naruto's.
Temari and Kankurou sat close to the stormy sea and watched the lightning in the distance. The storm was quick and passed right over them. Kankurou took off his helmet and sat against a large rock, "I hope this ends soon..."
"Same here, this is going to be hard to separate them at this point," Temari sighed as she saw the rain was easing up and the clouds began to part.
"What'dya mean?" Kankurou asked as he gazed at the horizon.
"They have two nights to be an actual couple after so many years of being apart. Remember when we brought Gaara back from the Akatsuki? Ura didn't leave his side for a moment and she was there when he first woke. Besides a few missions, Gaara was always by Ura. They subconsciously knew they were meant to be together," Temari explained as she thought about her and Shikamaru.
Kankurou thought about Leila. She was the most special person in his life and would give his life for. Though she wasn't what he had imagined to have as a wife, Leila definitely made his heart beat and give him a breath to breathe. Kankurou never saw himself falling in love with Ura's little sister. Both Kankurou and Temari were looking forward to going home to their families. The only part that would tear their hearts would be if Gaara was going home without Ura again. They didn't want to leave their little brother heart broken again.
Sakura could punch Ura all over again. She could smash her face into the ground and watch her die all over again. Why did she have to torment her friends? What was so special about her? All she did was screw her brother-in-law, Sakura's former love, and possibly every other walking male. Seething with anger, Sakura wanted nothing more than to abandon everyone and just go home. She didn't care if Ura died or lived again or not, all she wanted to do was go home to Ino and raise their child. Anything else was stupid and didn't need to have people hurt or crying over. Sakura looked over, Sasuke and Naruto were talking amongst each other as well as Temari and Kankurou. Why was everyone outside anyways? The Leaf Kunoichi stood up and stretched, "I'm going to the cave."
"Like hell you will!" Temari snapped as she got up, "You're not going anywhere."
"How come your brother and your sister-in-law get to stay dry while the rest of us freezes out here!?" Sakura stomped over to Temari, "Who the hell do you think you are if they get to stay warm?"
"I want my little brother happy," Temari seethed through her gritted teeth, snatching Sakura's shirt and yanked her closer, "I will not see him broken! Not after her funeral!"
Sakura pushed away from Temari and went back to her original spot. She didn't want to be there...

Osamu
*~*~*~*~
Two days had passed in the Kumigakure, but no sign of his mother. Leila was enjoying the sights though, she was taking pictures and was enjoying the beautiful scenery. Osamu wanted to ask around if anyone had seen a woman that looked like his aunt, but didn't want to give away Ura's hiding spot. The last thing he wanted to do was get his mother in trouble. Night was slowly falling and he was tired of looking around for two days straight. He could definitely feel familiar chakra close by, but he dubbed it out as possibly Leila's, if she had any.
Osamu was sitting on a close by box as Leila was looking through the streets again. Night was falling and the full moon was rising, Osamu watched the moon rise and thought of Mimi. She was probably going to bed around that time. He hoped she was safe and unharmed, the village was under good protection with the elders in action without their Kazekage. Osamu sighed as he sipped his coffee, he could get used to being so close to the skies in the mountain area. Slowly, the villagers were heading back inside to their homes and Leila went over to him and sat by him. They couldn't afford a hotel and they hadn't eaten that much since they arrived two days ago. It seemed that things were looking bleak anyways.
"Sorry, I really thought she would've been here," Leila yawned as she lazed her eye lids, "I better find a job to do so we can head back to Suna."
"Yeah... Just go to sleep, i'll watch tonight," Osamu stood up as Leila closed her eyes.
Sometimes he wondered why his mother didn't kick his aunt's butt for being so lazy sometimes. Then again, he had to think back that Leila was somewhere around his age if not younger spiritually. Osamu sighed and looked back up at the stars, there was an ominous feeling that he couldn't shake off. The last night he stayed there was calm and soothing. This night...it didn't feel right. He didn't like the fact that he was there and felt something was wrong.
Midnight strolled around and Osamu's feeling heightened. Something was definitely wrong and he didn't want to stay in the village any long. Osamu tried to wake up Leila, but she was dead asleep. So, he picked her up and started to carry her out of the village. Osamu froze when he was in the middle of the street, he could hear them. The hari... Everywhere around him was controlled by hari held by chakra string. He sucked in a quick breath and the hari went everywhere. They went through walls, windows, cloth, anything and the entire village woke with blood curtling screams. Osamu had closed his tightly, was he dead? Wait, he was breathing... Where was Leila? He slowly opened his eyes and saw a baby blue hue surround him. He was dead, there was no way he survived that onslaught.
"You ok? I didn't think I could do that, it's been so long."
He turned slightly, Leila held a protective jutsu sign on her hands. So, she did have some chakra in her after all. Leila close her eyes and soul reapers escaped through the baby blue barrior. She released the barrior and took Osamu's wrist, "C'mon, we've overstayed our welcome."
Leila ran as fast as she could with Osamu trailing behind her. They stopped quickly though, a few Sound ninja appeared with masks to cover their faces. Osamu opened his gourd, the sand swarmed around him and Leila as Osamu pulled out a large kunai. Leila raised a palm to him, "I got this, trust me."
"You're not as skilled as them," Osamu whispered quickly as he readied to attack.
Too late to wait, the three Sound-nin went for them. Two at Osamu and Leila was fighting with one, she was using the soul reapers to block his punches and kicks. The one that was fighting Leila sucked in a deep breath, then all went silent. Well, not silent, Leila just couldn't hear anything. She didn't understand the attack and kept looking over at Osamu to make sure he was ok. One look lasted too long because the Sound-nin landed a kick to her stomach, then sent her flying with a punch to the face. Osamu watched as Leila was on the ground, he couldn't fight on the defense any longer. Rage filled him and his sand became stronger, harder, now able to grab on to their feet. He manipulated the sand to snatch their ankles, closing his fists tightly and easily broke every bone in their feet. Their screams went along in the air with the villagers that were being murdered all over. Osamu then focused his attention on the Sound-nin that had attacked his aunt. When he went over to help, Leila was back on her feet and running after the same ninja.
She took one of the soul reapers and forced it into her stomach. In a second, her skin became pure white and her eyes were pitch black. When she opened her mouth as the ninja came running at her, their soul exited their body and entered Leila's mouth. She had eaten their soul. Osamu couldn't believe his aunt was able to do such...brutality. He stopped and watched as Leila smiled over at him, then motioned for him to follow her. The Suna Jonin accepted quickly and ran along side her as she flew in the air. They managed to escape the frenzy and rampage of the village as almost all the people in the Kumigakure were being slaughtered.
Osamu kept running after Leila, where was she leading him? They were going too close to the rocky shore, was she going to leave him on the rocks? When he was about to ask, but he stopped. There, in front of him, was his father, uncle, and other aunt as well as the Leaf shinobi and their Hokage. Osamu ran over to Gaara, "Where is she? If you're here, then so is Mother."
Leila put her hand to her belly and pulled out the soul reaper, sending it back into the air. She went over to Osamu, "She's the one leading that attack."
"She wouldn't try to kill us!" Osamu snapped at Leila.
Kankurou placed a hand on Osamu's shoulder, "She probably didn't know you two were in there. I'm surprised you came out alive."
Gaara was silent. Osamu noticed his father not saying a word and looked over at him. He had never seen his father in such a state in a long time. Gaara was gazing at the village, not paying attention to the screams, but he seemed like he was searching for something. Osamu then understood...he was listening for Ura's scream. He stopped thinking as well, he wanted to make sure he did not hear that same scream either.
Sakura looked over at Osamu, he looked so much like Gaara. It was hard to tell if he had any of Ura's features, he was slender like her. That was about it, but Osamu definitely favored Gaara above anyone else. She waited with the others as they watched the massacre. It didn't feel right, just watching Ura kill so many people at once and not fighting her off. In the real world, Sakura knew Ura would be held up on the charges for murder and would die without any honor as a kunoichi. She crossed her arms as she waited with her back turned to the village, "It's best if we leave soon."
Leila went over to Kankurou, finding some solace in his arms. She had missed her husband and had felt his soul when she took the body of a soul reaper. Leading Osamu to Kankurou was the main reason for leaving the Kumigakure. Leila listened to the screams of the innocent echo through the night, what if one of them was Ura? Not likely, she was probably watching from above somewhere.

Ura
*~*~*~*~*
"Do you understand now what blood I can spill?" Ura held her umbrellas towards A, "You will be among the fallen soon enough."
He was about to attack her, but Ura had disappeared. She had fought him long enough and needed to leave soon. Ura leaped from building to building, watching the Sound Army murder and slaughter so many people in the village. She hadn't killed anyone, but she would have to. In order to show her loyalty to the Army, she would have to kill some of the villagers to keep peace. Ura leaped to the ground and aided some of the Sound-nin, using her hari attacks to kill the villagers instantly. One, a rather large, Lightning-nin approached her. He was covered in blood, most likely Sound-nin blood and was looking for revenge. Ura smirked as she readied her umbrellas, throwing one in the air as she readied the other one like a cannon. He ran like a beast at her, possibly skilled at taijutsu rather than Ura's genjutsu or ninjutsu. The Lightning-nin balled his large fists and was about to squish Ura, but she leaped onto his closed fists, smacking his throat with the tip of her umbrella.
When he staggered back, Ura smacked the tip of her umbrella into his stomach. He fell to the ground as Ura pointed the tip of her umbrella towards the one umbrella in the sky. She directed the hari that was starting to fall from that umbrella with a thin chakra string to the hari and aimed at the Lightning-nin's face. The impact killed him seconds. She went over to his corpse and saw his entire head was imbedded with hari. It was a gruesome fight that definitely didn't deserve to be attacked on anyone. Ura quickly took out all the hari with chakra string and placed them back in her umbrellas quickly.
She left the village back to the campsite. Thankfully, she could not feel any familiar chakra around the area in a 100-mile span. Gaara had left safely then.... She would miss her two days with him, just talking about their past and what the future may bring. A small smile formed on her lips as she washed off the blood on her with a wet cloth. One of her generals came in with a messenger, which was surprising since she was the one that sent the messenger out and never saw them again. Ura placed a hand on her hip as she pointed at the messenger, "What's this?"
"You've been summoned for questioning, Ura," her general crossed her arms, "A woman by an anonymous name has claimed you unfaithful to our cause."
If she had a heart, it would've had a heart attack from the fear. Who could betray her like that? Especially when she was standing in enemy territory. Ura merely nodded as she sipped some sake from her cantine, "Fine, where am I to go?"
"Before I release you, I must know first if you are true to this cause. In that village you easily killed more than one hundred villagers before you went to the Raikage and then took out that large Lightning-nin. I must deem this person in correct if you were able to do all of that," Ura's general explained.
Ura held a small smirk as she walked over to the messenger, "My motives are simple, I want to raise Sound to it's highest power. If someone questions my motives, then I will say they are wrong and kill them for treason. I am the leader here, and I will not be tested."
Her general smirked with her plump lips, allowing the messenger to escort Ura to where she would be questioned. Ura was massively nervous and didn't want to go. She kept thinking of plans that would help her escape, but she knew if she left, then there would be dire consequinces. Instead, she would find the person who was trying to kill her and kill them off. She didn't need anyone that was trying to screw her over and make her the most wanted person in the world.
They had ran for hours until they arrived at the main campsite in Sound. Ura watched as many shinobi bowed to her, calling her 'Lady Ura' or 'Legend' or anything that came with her title as Leader. When she stomped through the doors to the office that would question her, Ura slammed her umbrellas into the table, "Who is the one that dares question me!?"
"Me."
That woman. That woman who claimed she loved Gaara. That damn woman who thought she could take everything that Ura worked so hard for. That fucking woman who thought she could be everything Ura was already. Ura glared at her, then went straight over to her with her umbrellas tightly held by her fists. Right before she was going to slaughter that woman, the superviser for the main campsite intervened. He stood between Ura with his hands behind his back, "I'm afraid you will have to wait until we prove her wrong before you decide her fate. Please, have a seat, Lady Ura. Would you care for tea?"
"Give me sake," Ura sat down, not turning her glare away from Amane.
"Now, Lady Ura, the allegations towards you are quite serious," the superviser paced slowly as he eyed Ura with his one, good eye, "You are being charged for being a double spy. Giving away classified information, choosing former allies, and such."
"I've done nothing of the sort," Ura stated quickly as she glared even more at Amane.
"On the contrary," Amane spoke up with a smile on her thin lips, "There was quite a slaughter near the Mizukage's village. Coincidently, there were a few Sound Army units in that area and the Mist-nin somehow knew where all their locations were."
"Can you tell me where you were during the nights prior to their deaths?" the superviser flipped through a small notebook, probably checking dates to see if Ura's side of the story matched up.
Though she didn't want Amane to know of her time with Sasuke, she would have to alter some of the information. Ura merely sipped her sake, tasting nothing as it poured down her throat, then answered, "I was training my body and seeing where my limits were."
"You were with a man, don't like you whore!" Amane shouted angrily as she slammed her palms into the table, "You were with Sasuke Uchiha! I saw him running back to Konoha!"
"How was I supposed to know that he was running that way? I merely saw him, talked with him after a brief battle, and he left. Did I give him information? It's doubtful because he was running away from wherever the attacks on my Army were placed!" Ura stood up from her seat and pointed at Amane, "The allegations you are making against me are false due to the fact that the Kazekage still sees my as his only bride!"
"You traitours bitch!" Amane screamed as she brought out her kunai, leaping onto the table to attack.
The superviser intervened again, only holding Ura's open umbrella from spinning as the kunai didn't even puncture the umbrella. He chuckled lightly, "Amane, she could've killed you if I hadn't stopped her. Careful what you say to Lady Ura, her temper is quite unforgiving."
"Don't you see!? She's lying!" Amane growled as she got off the table, "Test her! See if she can kill Gaara and her son!"
Ura didn't make any emotion on her face when the superviser was thinking about Amane's test. She glared harder at Amane, there was no way this woman was going to survive the night. The superviser smiled as he crossed his arms, "Alright then. Lady Ura, to conclude Amane's hypothesis, you should kill Gaara and his son to show your loyalty. But, i'm afraid it is pointless, due to the fact that we are close to invading the last two countries of Fire and Wind. My apologies for her accusations, i'm sure you will punish her since she is our newest member. Amane, I deem your allegations as false and Lady Ura, I am sure you will pass this little test with flying colors. I'll just leave you two to discuss your differences."
The superviser and the other shinobi exited the small room, leaving Amane and Ura alone. Ura pulled out two hari, that was all she would need in order to take revenege for more planning. Amane pulled out her kunai, but a swift move from Ura's foot made Amane lose her kunai to Ura's chakra string. The kunai floated in the air, pointing straight at Amane's head.
"When I was a Genin, I had a sensei by the name of Baki," Ura stopped a foot away from Amane, who was shaking against the wall, "He had me train with a puppet I had named Dove. I trained for a full week, night and day, with chakra string until I could summon it just by thinking about it. In fact, I trained with hari ten times as longer. I know every vital point in your body to keep you living in agony for days. When I am done with you, you will be begging for me to kill you. But, I want you to live long enough to know that I will pass your test and everyone will live."
The kunai went straight into Amane's left eye ball, she screamed as she tried to yank it out. Each time she tried to pull it out, it only went into a millimeter deeper. Ura didn't pay much mind to Amane's struggling, she brought out a small vile that contain a clear liquid. When Amane stopped screaming, Ura then commented, "You know, Kankurou showed me some poison that would definitely help me right now. It will paralize your motor skills. This stuff is so strong, it'll leave you speechless. Literally."
Ura dipped a hari in the vile, then stabbed Amane's other eye with the poison-dipped hari to where she could feel the tip of the hari gently enter the brain. Amane lost the ability to stand and scream. She lay motionless, but Ura knew her body was in total agony. There was nothing Amane could do about it besides just internally suffer. Ura then took one of her umbrellas and began to beat Amane's body to there were gashes, bruises, broken rips, until Ura broke at least 70% of Amane's bones.
"How dare you think you can get away with this!? Who the hell do you think you are!? Did you forget everything i've ever done for Suna!? You were just a little brat when I gave my life for your fucking family!" Ura screamed as she threw Amane against the opposite wall, "And then you come marching into my title! My role! My fucking life! I will never be outshined, I will never be forgotten, and I will not go away! Death has nothing on me, you damn bitch!"
Amane's body looked pretty ragged. But it wouldn't satisfy Ura. She went over to her and whispered in her ear, "I know you are alive, but to the world, you're dead. Though you can breathe, you have a faint heart beat. They will bury you deep in the ground, and you'll still be living. You are gone from this world and I will make sure you burn in Hell. Let me tell you one last thing before I leave here, and no one else can hear me but you. Gaara and Osamu will leave with their lives and without harm. I will be given life again after I destroy the entire Army. Amane, you have messed with the wrong Suna-nin, and i'm afraid you will pay with your life."
Ura stood up and spat on Amane's head, then left with her umbrellas.
