“Thank you,” the young woman said as her now clean pair of clothing was placed in her hands seconds after she opened the door. Then sliding the door closed, she inspected the inn's fine work at removing the green and brown stains that use to be splotched here and there on the thin fabric.

“What are you doing?” The dull voice of her `master' asked from across the room. No matter how many times he had told her he was her master, Jessica couldn't seem to get that fact into her head. Yes, she followed him around and did as he told her, but she only respected him as a higher authority as far as she would a teacher at school. Looking back at the blond who was now fixing what she believed to be ridiculously long hair for a guy.

“I had the maid clean my clothes the other day; it hasn't been washed since whenever the seller did before selling it to Sasori-san.” She replied as she began to fold it again.

“Why did you do that?” He asked as he looked at her with raised eyebrows as she walked into the bathroom. Rolling her eyes, she popped her head back out for a moment to give her obvious answer.

“The thing was a mess from traveling; I need to maintain good hygiene as a girl you know. Girls are more high maintenance than guys; I'd think you'd know that since you decided to by a girl. You probably would have been better off with a boy if you expected your servant to be easy luggage.” She said as she shut the door. Hearing the lock click, Deidara held his head in his hands as he blew a loose strand of hair that draped over his nose.

“I've figured that out alright!” He said with a raised voice in order for her to hear his reply on the back-sassing statement that rubbed it in his face that she will make him pay a high price for buying her. “Woman,” he mumbled as he stood to his feet. Seconds later the door opened as Jessica appeared before him as he opened the front door in the outfit she had received earlier in the week. As they walked out, she commented on how some of there things were still in the room; they must not have been planning on leaving very soon. Waiting on the other side was Sasori, in the form she had come to know in the past week. As she tried taking a closer look at the thing people mistook as his actual body, her master raised a question.

“Are we ready to head out yet for the mission?” With a light expression of questioning fell upon the girl's face, she looked up at the young man who looked down dully at his partner.

“I haven't met up with my subordinates yet. I'll be meeting one near this village in about a week.” He replied as Jessica's gaze turned to him as he began to speak.

“U'h? We're going to be here for that long? Couldn't you have told me before?” Deidara sneered as he placed his hands on his hips.

“Not again,” Jessica muttered as she felt the wheels of an argument start to move between them.

“What's that?” The man beside her asked as he looked down at her with a frown on his face. Deciding to not look innocent now that she was caught, she let out a deep breathe before she said what she felt must be said.

“You always argue! Can't you just agree with something for once besides the fact that you think I don't look “religious” in your eyes? Seriously, you'd get so much more done if you would just put aside your differences and let out everything you need to stay instead of useless squander!” Letting out one more exhausted sigh to make her point in how ridiculous it was, she folded her arms as she closed her eyes.

“You brat, don't show me such!” Sasori scolded as he raised his puppet's tail to strike her, but was interrupted in his task within seconds of this.

“As much as I hate admitting it Sasori-san, the girl has a pretty good claim to this.” Deidara said as he put an arm in front of her. “We do waste too much time arguing. Go do your business and be quick about it.” He said as he turned to walk in the other direction. With a rather uneasy look on her face, she raised a slightly cupped hand to her face as if it would protect her as she looked at the man who had threatened her. “Omae, hurry up.” The blond said as he grabbed her forearm as she was half dragged out of the building.

As they walked into the noise polluted streets, Jessica didn't say a word as her heart still pounded in what felt to her as a hundred miles per hour. Would he have really hurt her? She knew that Sasori never really liked her, but she never thought he'd go the distance of hurting her.

“Was I… stupid?” She asked rather timidly now as her master pulled her throughout every crack and cranny in the crowd by the wrist. For a moment, he glanced back at his slave whose gaze was unreadable in where it was directed at.

“Stupid, that was beyond stupid! A girl, let alone a slave, should never say such things to a man. Especially not a man like Sasori-san, who won't let even a trained shinobi tell him that his ways of thinking are wrong. One of these times he'll kill you I swear.” He replied harshly as the girl shrunk her head back. “I don't know why I don't bother to punish you, and I think I should. Otherwise you'll try to over rule me, and that will not happen.”

“Over rule you?” She asked as she pulled her head back in disbelief in what he was saying. Was there even a possibility to over take a man who had to be at least a foot taller than her besides the fact that his body was a whole lot more massive than her own? How could he think that she'd even try that?

“Women are always like that. First they try to bewitch their masters, and then seduce them and then get a higher authority than the others. A lot of men even marry some of the women they buy, but this isn't the case. So don't even try acting all snotty and equal to me, and most importantly Sasori-san if you value your life.”

Wanting to rely to this, Jessica bit her lip as she frowned. She wasn't that kind of a person! Yet Deidara-Sama didn't know her well, so she couldn't say that he'd know better than that. On top of that fact, saying that would just prove his point and cause him to scorn over her more than before! Resolving to stay quiet, she followed the young man to wherever he was leading her.
