Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ World Collision ❯ Whitness of Sasori's fight ( Chapter 27 )
[ P - Pre-Teen ]
Ahh! Sorry, I wanted to make this longer, but I was called up by my family to watch Lost, and then American Idol, and then I wondered to myself about if I'd gotten any new comments for my newest chapter… It was then that I realized that I hadn't finished this! (about 200 words away from finishing, but still incomplete.) Sorry about that!

The loud crashing sound left Jessica's ears deaf as she looked at the sight behind her with wide eyes. “W-what happened?” She asked herself, paralyzed where she stood. What had happened to the cave? Just a moment before, everything looked as if nothing out of the ordinary was happening! Now though, the atmosphere around the area was anything but normal. With large dust clouds hovering in the air, she couldn't tell what had exactly happened. Waving one hand in front of her and blocking her eyes with the other, she coughed loudly as she tried getting all of the dirt particles out of her mouth.
“Was that an explosion? It doesn't really make any sense; Deidara isn't in this area. That being known, who else has bombs around here?” She thought to herself as she crouched lower to the ground where there was less pollution in the air. Squinting her eyes, what she could see was that the whole top of the cave was gone for sure now without a doubt. From it, there seemed to be large polls or tubes that stuck out of the sides of it. Could it have been man-made? It had been pretty small for a cave, but a synthetic cave? How could you make such a thing? She then let out a dry laugh as she reminded herself that the people in that world, the people like her master, were capable of a lot of things that would be impossible.
As she sat thinking about this, she heard the sound of metal against metal. Not only that, but a chattering-like sound as well, coming from the direction of the cave. As voices rose in the air every few minutes, Jessica had a pretty good idea in her head about what wad been happening in the cave. Sasori-san must have been fighting one or both of the women right now, or perhaps another ninja that came in as backup like the odd looking boy. As the terrible sounding noises raised and decreased in volume, she wondered just what was going on. What were Sasori-san's opponents fighting with? What was he himself using to fight? Of course, he was probably using the puppet she once thought was his real body, though one would still wonder.
Slowly but surely, the dust started to depart from Jessica's sight as it traveled along with the warm winds. Standing to her feet, she quickly walked near the cave to see if she'd catch a glimpse of the fight before it would end; surely it would end soon with Sasori-san involved, right? Even Deidara-sama had said that he was stronger than himself, and he was certainly not weak.
“Since the trouble I had getting into the Akatsuki… I wonder when it was…” She heard Sasori say after she was at a distance near enough to understand what was to be said.
“What…What is…,” stuttered a voice that must have belonged to a young woman; perhaps the pink haired girl? Edging closer, Jessica could get close enough to see everything from above what was now a battlefield. There amongst the rubble, were three people; the two women from before and Sasori, who was now in what was now known as his `actual' body in Jessica's eyes.
“Since he was separated from me, he has not aged… He's just like long ago,” the old woman stated as if she knew exactly what had happened to confuse her partner.
“That is why… It has been a long time… Since I've used myself,” he said with a prideful tone in his voice. Even Jessica's eyes widened a great deal as she looked at what he was now; a puppet. Wasn't this supposed to be his real body? Looking down at him now, she saw the young figure of the man whose body was defiantly not human anymore. Even from where she was at, she could tell that his arms and bare chest looked like wooden doll's, with all of the different pieces giving away where it all connected. Besides that, Sasori-s body now had what almost looked to be sword-like wings coming from his back, along with a long, thick coil of metal that was coming out of a compartment in his stomach area. The coil seemed to be all wound up inside of him like a watering hose, and at the end of it was some sort of a dagger-looking thing that now stuck in the ground. Sasori, who was standing on top of it as it raised him into the air, looked scarier to Jessica than ever before even though he was presented in his more eye-pleasing body.
“…He made himself… Into a human puppet,” the girl stated as she looked at her opponent carefully. A moment later, going at the speed of light, the man lunged at them as he released a gas from his palms. The women then jumped back, hiding against some of the bolder sized pieces of rubble.
“What's wrong,” he snickered. Stopping for a moment, his body then sank down… but only for a moment. Before anyone could notice, he threw his head back as the long coil was then directed at the young girl. As it dashed throughout the air, it finally reached its target that was unable to dodge the attack fully. Jessica's face then cringed as she turned pale. There it was again; blood. As it splattered from the girl's side, though she didn't see it in full detail, it still disturbed her. After giving herself a good shake, she turned back to watch before missing anything else. Right as she looked back, she almost wished she hadn't though, for right then she saw the pink haired girl's fist connect with Sasori's body that's pieces now flew in many directions. Jessica had little time to think over what had just happened, for the body then suddenly came together once again as it put itself back together; Sasori-san was whole once again. Jessica then let out a sigh that was almost one of relief. Though she didn't particularly like the man, she had been living with him for the past month. Besides that, if he was stronger than Deidara and was killed, who was to say that Deidara-sama wouldn't get killed as well? To her, it sounded as if the two men of the team were the stronger, and they were the ones after him.
Suddenly, the old woman then stretched out her arm that was missing from her hand to her elbow. Within seconds, her arm that must have been fake, re-attached itself quickly before she pulled a scroll out from her bag. “This is a jutsu I forbade myself…” She said as the other two watched her closely. “I thought I'd never use it again, but it seems that it wasn't to be. I'll put an end to this here.” With that, she unraveled the scroll as loud pops were made when ten things appeared before them; ten puppets.
