You Look So Fine

 

 

It ended when he finally let them go.

Once, along time ago, Naruto could have pretended that they would have been a happy ending. Funny, how he was the one that was the one always tied up and chained, knocked down and left behind, he was the one walking away this time.

Sasuke had taken over his life from the moment that they had met. Naruto had always believed and he had all hoped because he knew that they would have a happy end.

Sasuke like to say that Naruto was not like who wanted to be with him. Looming over the other man, Sasuke often said he wanted to shatter his heart and ruin him because he never wanted to share Naruto with another.

Naruto's life with Sasuke was an open desert, never to be filled, always wanting until he chose to let them go.

But he was ruined for all others, for now anyway. He did not expect to forget eight years of his life in one night, that would have been insane—nor would he hold mourn the end of their eight year relationship for long. Naruto knew he would never find another lover like Sasuke; the Uchiha was unlike anyone Naruto had ever known in his adult life…

And that was the reason Naruto walked away.

He had tried to walk away from him.

He had tried to walk away from them and wanted to pretend that he did not belong to him.

Who gave flying fuck about his happiness when it meant Naruto leaving him?

….letting go…

…being happy…

…wants to try to live without him?

“You stupid fuck.” Sasuke yelled at the broken body lying on the floor. The Anbu guards outside the door could only cringe in sympathy when they heard another blow land against former nin's already broken body.

Uzumaki-Uchiha Naruto honestly through that he could just walk away from the man that that who held his very life in hands, the man the village council had offered up to him as barging chip along with the title of Hokage to secure peace with the warring new Sannin when he been at Konoha's gates.

Sasuke fell for Naruto long ago. He never wanted to let go, he had always believed that they would have a happy end…

Weren't they happy?

Hadn't they been happy?

Why did Naruto want to leave him? Had he not proved that he was not like all the others that vied for Naruto's attention?

Naruto was different. Sasuke had known that from the moment their eyes met and in that single moment time Sasuke knew he was going to break Naruto's heart; but that was alright, because Sasuke promised to give Naruto his own.

And it had been fine for all their lives until yesterday when Sasuke had gone home and his Naruto was gone.

The fullness in his heart became a vast desert. He did not rest, he did not eat, Sasuke refused to do anything until his Naruto was returned to him.

The idiot did not try to leave the village. Did Naruto honestly though that he could remain in their village and live away from his husband? Was that why he had been surprise that Anbu had broken into his little apartment and dragged him out like a common criminal.

What did he think that ring on his finger or the tattoo on his neck meant?

Naruto was the only one for Sasuke—

And Sasuke would make damn sure that Naruto understood that Sasuke was the only on for him.

Reaching up, Sasuke stripped off his robe. A single blue eye watched the man divest himself of clothes. A shiver of fear raced up down Naruto's spine as Sasuke knelt over his prone body. Sasuke reached for Naruto's face, the blue eye shut.

His screams echoed throughout the tower, but no one came to his aid. They would only come to drag him back to their Hokage's side, for Naruto was the price this village paid for their salvation and they would ensure that was where he would remain.
