Interlude I:
Heirs to an Empire
It had been eight months...
Eight months since the engine of chaos known as Ranma Saotome
disappeared in a pillar of light. The inhabitants of the Nerima Ward
were done with the celebrations three months ago and the construction
companies had stopped crying over the loss of their biggest money
generator, they enjoyed the peace had come with the infamous martial
artist's disappearance.
There were rumors, on how the pig-tailed young man disappeared. One
claimed that he had left on a training trip to perfect the Art of
Fighting. Another claimed that Ranma became a ronin, to escape all the
problems his father had made during their ten year training trip. Still
another said that Ranma had left Nerima looking for the ultimate
challenge, and was still searching all over the world for his unknown
opponent. But these were just rumors, and only a select few knew the
true reason for Ranma's vanishing act.
The people of Nerima hoped that the peace would last forever. They were
sadly mistaken.
Meanwhile...
A dimensional portal shimmered briefly at the foothills of the
Bayankala Mountain range in China, three beings of power stepped
through the portal from their father's dimension. As the gateway
closed, the three looked at their surroundings of their father's former
home world. All three were carrying small packs over their shoulders.
Clearly, two of the beings were female and the other was male, all
three wore black tight-fitting body suits with red highlights.
The male, who was nineteen years old and the oldest of the three was
6' 1, had burning red hair, and sienna eyes that he had inherited from
his mother looked at the two younger females and asked,
"Are we in the right universe this time?"
One of the females snorted in a un-lady like fashion at the question,
while the other, who was the youngest, answered with a soft,
"Hai Kyo-niisan, we are in father's home dimension."
Kyo merely smiled at the youngest of the group, who stood at a height
of 5'8 she had milky-white skin, short light blue hair, ample bosoms
and an angelic face, with the exception of her eyes that were ocean
blue in color, she was the spitting image of her mother back when she
was a teenager. But her angelic appearance belied a destructive power
that was feared and respected in her home.
"That's good to know Yuna-chan, I knew that you wouldn't let me down."
he praised his younger sister, technically they were half-brother and
sister but that didn't stop them for calling each other like brother
and sister.
His smile vanished as he glared at the remaining female who was a bit
taller than Yuna with a height of 5'11, had the same wild hair, golden
cat- like eyes, and blessed with generous 'assets' like her mother,
with the exception that her hair was midnight black and said in a
mocking voice,
"Unlike another baka little sister that I know."
Said female bristled with annoyance at the jab and retorted,
"HEY!!! It's not my fault those damn women from that tower tried to
kill you!"
Kyo just glared at her
"Or when that stupid, evil void goddess fell madly in love with you and
tried to marry you!"
He glared at her more
"AND it's not my fault we appeared out of thin air in the middle of
that battle!"
Kyo snorted at her, remembering the insult that his father used on his
former fiancée, he smiled at the female and said,
"Stupid uncute tomboy."
An energy sword blazed to life at the irate female's hand and she
charged with a battle cry of,
"DIE!!!!"
In a heartbeat, Kyo pulled out a five foot katana made by his genius
grandmother and shifted himself in a defensive stance. Their usual
fights starting up once more, but before the fight even began they
were stopped by Yuna's soft voice.
"Please Kyo-niisan, Motoko-neesan, stop fighting for once and let's
get going."
"Alright Yuna-chan, you win." sighed Motoko, she could never raise
her voice or hand against her little sister, not that she could if she
wanted to. She looked at Kyo and said in a cocky tone of voice,
"Ya got lucky Kyo-niisan. Next time you won't be so lucky."
Kyo merely smiled at Motoko and said,
"Anytime, Motoko-chan, anytime."
They both growled at each other and prepared to lunge at each other,
when they heard someone clear their throat. Seeing Yuna's eyebrows
slightly twitching, both scratched the back of their heads, laughing
nervously and both said,
"We're sorry...."
Sighing to herself, Yuna mentally ordered her bodysuit to change its
appearance. Where her black body suit was, an elegant black kimono
draped over her slim figure with sakura flower patterns on its sleeves.
She looked at her two older siblings and in a soft, yet commanding
voice,
"Come, we have a lot of work to do."
Following what Yuna did to her body suit, both Motoko and Kyo willed
their body suits to change its appearance, molding itself into its
hosts' mental picture.
Kyo remembered one of his father's old friends and visualized what he
wore. He looked down at his body and gave himself a mental pat in the
back. Red pants with a red belt attached to his knees, and a short
black jacket with a Yin-Yang emblem on the back, with the tails of
his undershirt trailing down the waist where his jacket ended.
*I look so cool!* he thought to himself and clenched his hand calling
forth the power that flowed through his veins. A blazing, red fire
engulfed his clenched hand, yet it did not burn his skin.
*Now, if it was only purple.* he thought sadly as he willed the fire
away.
Motoko wore dark slacks, complementing her white plaid blouse that
barely covered her finely toned stomach. A large belt went around her
waist and had a golden ring in the middle. She summoned a pair of dark-
tinted glasses to hide her cat-like eyes from any unwanted attention.
*I can't wait to see my 'other' mother.* she thought to herself
grinning like a Cheshire Cat.
Yuna's voice broke them out of their thoughts.
"I am ready."
Both Kyo and Motoko looked at her and nodded, as whirls of fire began
to encircle the three, with Kyo at the center of it, like a bright sun
surrounded by an endless sea of stars.
"Do you know our destination?" he asked Yuna
She looked to where she thought Japan would be located and answered,
"Hai, near the Masaki Shrine in Japan."
Kyo merely nodded, looking where Yuna's gaze was, he snapped his
fingers, and the three disappeared in a flash of fire and light.
Gates of Infinity....
At the Gates of Infinity, or the Gates of Time as it was commonly
called, its eternal guardian woke from her deep slumber. Crimson eyes
darting left and right as she tried to adjust herself with her darkened
surroundings, grabbing the Key of Time that lay next to her, she quickly
transformed herself into the sailor-suited warrior of love and peace,
Sailor Pluto.
The Guardian of Time quickly traversed the misty darkness of her domain,
and commanded the gates that she protected to show her the time stream.
Eight months ago, she discovered that the chances of Crystal Tokyo
appearing in the current timeline increased by 20%. She was ecstatic by
this revelation, and sought to find the reason for the increase, what
she saw both delighted and disturbed her. She was delighted that the
man named Ranma Saotome had disappeared from the chaos that was Nerima,
every time she would look at his face in the time stream she would get
a massive headache due to the chaos he generated. She was also disturbed
by the fact that one individual could limit the formation of Crystal
Tokyo so much.
*Thank the kamis that I don't have to worry about him anymore.* she
thought to herself, gazing at the Time Stream.
A flare of intense pain erupted in Sailor Pluto's head. She clutched at
her forehead in an attempt to ward off the agonizing pain she felt. She
fell and landed at the cold hard ground clutching at her head in pain.
A matter of minutes, which seemed like an eternity to the guardian,
passed. She stood up, still shaken with her bouts with pain, and looked
at the time stream. Her beautiful face turned white in horror.
She watched the timelines branch off into millions of tiny strands,
covered by the veil of chaos.
*It can't be him! He's no longer in this plane of existence! Who's
doing this?!* she thought angrily to herself as she tried to look for
the cause of the chaos.
The gates only showed her hazy images that Sailor Pluto could barely
identify. Suddenly, the gates cleared momentarily, showing her two
females and a male who were in their late teens, walking towards what
looked like a shrine in the mountains.
*These kids could be trouble.* she thought to herself, frowning
She would call for a meeting tonight with Senshi and warn them about
this new, possible threat to the timeline. But for now, she would try
her best to stabilize the time stream from the chaos that the three
teens emitted.
Back to our planes walkers......
"Are we there yet?" asked Motoko for the hundredth time
"For kami-sama's sake! No!" said Kyo angrily
The three were currently walking up the steps that would eventually
lead to the Masaki Shrine; they had appeared a bit of a distance away
from their actual destination and Kyo had said to the whining Motoko
that it wouldn't do them any good if they suddenly appeared out of
nowhere and demanding to see one, Masaki Katsuhito.
"Remember what happened last time?" asked Kyo to Motoko sarcastically
Motoko could only laugh nervously and apologize.
"How long do think till we reach the shrine?" asked Yuna to Kyo
Kyo looked at the sun bearing down on them, and said,
"Judging by the position of the sun, I'd say we'll reach the shrine by
mid- afternoon if we continue to walk this pace."
Motoko whispered into Yuna's ear,
"In other words, he doesn't know." Yuna giggled despite herself
Kyo just growled at Motoko, trying to stifle his annoyance at the
bothersome female.
*Must be hereditary.* he thought glumly to himself.
As the three kept walking up the steps, they never noticed the two log
guardians, Kamidaki and Azaka, watching them intently. Azaka turned to
Kamidaki and asked,
"Do we inform, Lady Ayeka?"
"No, the three do not pose a threat, yet. We will follow and observe."
answered Kamidaki, as both turned to follow the unsuspecting youths.
In front of the Masaki household.....
It was another normal day in the life of a guy named Masaki Tenchi.
Yup, a perfectly normal day for the heir to the throne of Jurai as he
sat and watched helplessly as Ryoko and Ayeka, two of the women vying
for his love duke it out with each other once again. Seating next to
him was Sasami, sister of Ayeka, with Ryoko's interdimensional
spaceship/cabbit, Ryo-ohki, sitting on her lap, happily munching on a
carrot. Standing behind them as they watched the battle in front of
them were Galaxy Police Detectives Kiyone and her partner, the blonde
ditz known as Mihoshi.
Huge explosions destroyed the tranquil peace around the shrine, as both
combatants used their formidable powers on each other.
Tenchi looked at the heavens above, with tears flowing down his face,
bemoaning his fate.
*Why me?!*
In the shrine office were, Masaki Katsuhito and Washu, the greatest
scientist in the universe, calmly drinking tea with sweat drops on
their heads as more explosions were heard.
"Anyhow...a few hours ago I picked up three different power signatures
in China. But before I could lock on the signatures, the three
disappeared." she stated as she sipped some tea.
"I know. I felt it too, but what I'm more concerned about is that if
they have hostile intentions or not." said Katsuhito, voicing his
concerns about the unknown 'visitors' to their world.
Washu smirked, "You should also know that the energies I picked up were
almost like Tsunami's energies but with demonic energies mixed in."
Katsuhito raised an eyebrow and said, "Indeed? Then we must be very
care---- --" he suddenly stopped whatever he was about to say and
stood up, walked out of the shrine office, heading towards the Masaki
household.
"What is it?" asked a very confused Washu as she followed right behind
him
"Trouble." Katsuhito simply said, hoping that they wouldn't be too late.
Back at the front of the Masaki household........
The first to notice the three newcomers was Tenchi, who tried to stop
the two warring women from accidentally hurting the strangers with a
misfired energy blast. The others, noticing the new people, also tried
to help Tenchi restrain the feuding women from each other. He hoped
that the visitors would not find anything weird upon seeing Ryoko and
Ayeka throw balls of destructive energy at each other.
*What am I thinking?* Tenchi thought to himself
He looked at the three new faces expecting to see shock, fear, and
disbelief on them. What he saw made him facefault, painfully hitting
his face on the ground
The three just calmly ignored the destructive violence occurring in
front of them, like they had seen this occur many times. Which was in
fact, true, the three and their other siblings had seen fights erupt
when their mothers argued with each other with who would spend the
night in bed with their father.
*Poor guy.* thought Kyo as he saw Tenchi face fault
"Is he alright?" asked Yuna to Kyo, who just shrugged and shook his
head.
"We don't have time for this!" said Motoko getting bored and annoyed
from watching the fight. She marched up to where Tenchi face faulted,
picked him up, shook him, and asked in an irritated voice,
"Hey! Are you Masaki Tenchi?!"
She ignored Kyo smacking his head with his hand in defeat and Yuna
sighing out loud.
"Y-Yes I'm Tenchi." the poor boy stammered
Tenchi's hormones started going haywire upon being so close to a
gorgeous girl, he couldn't help but look down at her ample cleavage
and looked away as he felt a nosebleed coming.
Motoko noticed what he had done and smiled evilly. She started to rub
herself on him and whispered in his ear with a sultry, alluring voice,
"You're such a bad boy Tenchi....now if you can tell me whe---------"
"What are you doing to my Tenchi, you hussy!"
"Let go of my Tenchi-sama you low-borne harridan!"
Came the twin cries of anger, cutting off Motoko's question.
Motoko's smile became more pronounced as she slid one of her hands
towards Tenchi's crotch, she made no effort in hiding her hand movement
from Ryoko or Ayeka.
*Gonna die! Gonna die! Gonna die! Gonna die!* Tenchi repeated to
himself over and over again, as tried to get out of the girl's embrace,
only to find that he could not move an inch, he was helpless as he saw
her hand go down to where the sun don't sunshine.
"Oh! I'm glad that little tenchi is glad to see me." giggled Motoko out
loud
Ryoko and Ayeka were both shocked and angered at the girl's
forwardness. Several miniature logs appeared around Motoko and Tenchi,
as dark energy cackled in Ryoko's hands.
"Release Tenchi at once or else!" they both said together
"Or else what?" said Motoko as she called their bluff
Both girls eyes narrowed in anger as Ayeka released at blast of
electricity and Ryoko threw two dark energy balls at Motoko, completely
forgetting that Tenchi was with her.
"Too slow!" said Motoko as she teleported out of Ayeka and Ryoko's
combined attack, leaving Tenchi to take the blow.
A huge blast erupted at the point of impact, Ryoko and Ayeka screamed
in horror at what they had done,
"TENCHI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Smoke cleared and the girls saw Tenchi's blackened and burnt figure
standing in the middle of a large crater, collapsing after he said,
"Ouch."
"That was fun!" said a voice coming from above the crater.
Ryoko and Ayeka looked up and gasped as they saw the girl floating in
a sitting position, smiling at them, laughing at them with her eyes.
Ayeka turned to tell Sasami to get her brother, Yosho, when she saw
that her sister, her guardians and the others were trapped in a red
barrier, with the mysterious girls' companions standing watch over
them. Ryoko and Ayeka prepared themselves for the long fight ahead,
and just before they renewed their attack on the mysterious girl. A
voice coming down the shrine was heard,
"STOP THIS AT ONCE!!!"
All heads turned to see an old man with graying hair and moustache and
a pair of rectangular wire rimed glasses that caught the light as he
came down the steps with a pink-haired 12 year old girl. He looked at
three teenagers and asked,
"Who are you three and state you business here at the shrine."
Before Motoko could retort at the old man, Kyo said in an apologetic
voice,
"Where are sorry to bother you, but we are looking for a man named
Masaki Katsuhito."
"I am he you seek." said Katsuhito to the young red-haired man, still
cautious about their motives.
Kyo smiled as they had found who they were looking for, he motioned to
Yuna to drop her erected barrier, and he turned to Katsuhito and asked,
"May I see your wife Masaki-san? I wish to ask her something."
Seeing the old man frown, Kyo had a very bad feeling at the answer the
old man would give.
"My wife Itsuki, is dead." Katsuhito said simply
*Crap, I must've brought up bad memories.* Kyo thought to himself.
He bowed in apology to Katsuhito, before asking once more,
"Forgive me, I did not know Masaki-san," seeing the old man wave the
apology off he continued, "But you might be of help to us. Do you know
where Itsuki-san's niece, Azuma Nodoka, lives?"
Katsuhito looked thoughtful for a couple of seconds, before answering,
"Her last known location was in the Juuban Ward, may I ask your
business with my wife's niece?"
*Perceptive old man* Kyo thought
He grinned at the shrine priest and said, "Personal business." he
emphasized on the word 'personal'.
"I see." said Katsuhito
"Thank you for helping us and sorry for the misunderstanding." said
Yuna softly as the three turned to leave.
"Wait." Katsuhito's voice stopped them in their tracks
"What do you want now old man?!" asked Motoko, who was smacked upside
the head by Yuna
"Motoko-neesan! Don't be so disrespectful." chided Yuna to the
grumbling older girl.
"You three must be tired from your journey and I must ask you to stay
for the rest of the day, since night will be upon us shortly."
Katsuhito proposed to them as he watched the sun slowly disappearing
in the horizon.
"No need Masaki-san, I feel we have done you enough trouble." said Kyo
to the old man.
"I insist young man; we have for than enough room for you three, and
think of it as payback for Ryoko and Ayeka's hotheadedness." said
Katsuhito, trying to persuade them to stay over for the night.
*I think that these were the ones Washu was talking about.* thought
Katsuhito to himself.
"Motoko is also to blame, Masaki-san. She acts like her mother
sometimes." said Yuna softly, earning her a glare from the older girl.
"Well, if you really insist Masaki-san. But only for tonight, we shall
take our leave tomorrow morning." said Kyo, realizing that the old man
wouldn't take no for an answer. Yuna nodded at his answer, Motoko
reluctantly agreed.
"Excellent! If you'll follow me, I'll make the necessary arrangements."
said Katsuhito turning away from them, and heading straight for the
Masaki house, where everyone else had gone in, as they were talking.
"How come I have a REALLY bad feeling about this." muttered Kyo as he
followed Katsuhito into the house, with an annoyed Yuna dragging a very
reluctant Motoko inside.
Deep inside Washu's lab.....
*I was right they are the power signatures I picked up earlier!
Hmm.....this is very interesting! Each of them have more power than
Tenchi and Yosho combined! Looks like Christmas came early this year!*
she thought to herself as she furiously typed on her computer.
The thought of having not one, or two, but THREE guinea pigs sent
Washu's senses into overdrive, and couldn't help but laugh maniacally.
*I wonder if I should take out my nurse outfit?* she asked herself, as
her devilish laughter echoed in her vast laboratory.
"What was that?" said Kyo as he jumped when he heard maniacal laughter
coming from the broom closet. As the two sisters went closer to each
other upon hear the laugh.
"It's nothing to fear." said Katsuhito, sweatdropping at the looks of
disbelief and incredulousness his guests gave him.
*I hope.* Katsuhito thought to himself. Thinking, if he repeated it
enough, he would start to believe it.
Hirikawa Shrine, Juuban
The Sailor Senshi, the sailor-suited defenders of love and peace, were
currently in a late night emergency meeting called by the mysterious
Senshi of Time. As they waited for the arrival of their crimson-eyed
companion, the usual bantering between the Senshi of Mars and the
Princess of the Moon began.
"GIVE ME BACK MY MANGA!!! MEATBALL-HEAD!!!" the irate Rei, Sailor Mars
screamed at ANOTHER blonde haired ditz, known as Sailor Moon or Usagi
Tsukino.
Usagi's eyes started to water and a stream of tears spilled out once
again, earning resigned sighs from the rest of the group.
"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" Usagi, cried, "Rei stop being so mean to
meeeeee!!!!"
Makoto Kino, Sailor Jupiter, rubbed her forehead in annoyance. "Will
you two quiet down?! We are trying to start the meeting!"
"We can't start the meeting yet, we are still waiting for the one who
called it." said Ami Mizuno, Sailor Mercury, as she set the Mercury
Computer to detect any Youma activity.
Even though they had defeated Galaxia already, bands of rouge Youma
still threatened the Juuban Ward from time to time.
Next to Ami sat the forever boy crazy Minako Aino, Sailor Venus,
chatting away with the two moon cats, Luna and Artemis, about how she
spent the day. While Haruka Ten'ou, Michiru Kaiou, and their adopted
daughter Hotaru Tomoe, Sailors Uranus, Neptune, and Saturn, sat on a
sofa away from the quarreling Rei and Usagi.
"Some things never change do they............" said a voice, sighing
Everyone jumped and looked behind them. There stood Setsuna Meiou,
Sailor Pluto, looking like she hadn't slept for a few days.
"What happened to you Setsuna?" asked Usagi with concerned eyes, seeing
her friend's ragged form.
"We have a problem." said Setsuna, as she set herself down on one of
the chairs, exhausted from trying to stabilize the chaotic time stream
with little result.
Haruka upon hearing this scowled "Is it a threat?" she asked Setsuna
"Let me start from the beginning, eight months ago I discovered that
the appearance of Crystal Tokyo increased by 20% in this timeline."
Setsuna elaborated
"How is that a problem?" asked Ami interrupting Setsuna, who just
ignored her and continued,
"I searched the cause of the increase and found that martial artist
named Ranma Saotome disappeared from Nerima." Setsuna paused to let
her words sink in.
"You mean THE Ranma Saotome?!" asked Makoto to Setsuna
"Yes." answered Setsuna
"Who's this Ranma Saotome?" asked Rei looking at Makoto. But before she
could answer, Haruka beat her to the punch.
"Ranma Saotome is the greatest martial artist of all time, the best of
the best, the guy has countless rivals out for his blood, a harem of
fiancées out to marry him, and there was even a rumor that he beat a
god in china two years back."
The reactions that came varied,
"M-MULTIPLE FIANCEES?!"
"BEAT A GOD?!"
"IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?!"
"HE'S NOT HUMAN!!!"
"Is he cute?"
"QUIET!!!" roared Setsuna as she was getting a headache from all the
shouting.
"Is this true Setsuna?" asked a skeptical Ami
"I don't know. When I tried to see into his past, there was too much
chaos to get a clear picture." Setsuna answered
"How did he disappeared Setsuna-mama?" asked Hotaru
"The gates just showed me a tear-shaped crystal, a cliff, and a pillar
of light. I haven't figured out what it all means yet." said Setsuna,
answering another question.
"So how is his disappearance a problem?" asked an irate Rei
"It's not." Setsuna glared at Rei "However, three teenagers, probably
from the future generated such chaos that the current timeline has
splintered and branched off into millions of tiny strands; each of
those strands showing a different future. Those kids are the problem."
she finished
"So a bunch of kids from the future from eh, they're probably from the
Black Moon Family back for some vengeance." concluded Michiru
"Maybe." said Makoto
"More of those creeps?!" asked Minako, wrinkling her nose in disgust
"So what are we waiting for?! Let's kick some ass!" shouted the ever-
impatient Haruka, standing up and clenching her fist.
"Do you even know where they are?" asked Ami to Haruka
"Oh....ummm...Setsuna a lil' help would be nice." said Haruka as she
realized what she was doing and looked at her green-haired companion
for some help.
Setsuna merely glared at the short-haired tomboy and said, "Don't ask
me, there's too much chaos around them to get a proper location from
the gates."
"So we wait for their first move?" asked Ami, fearing the worst
"That is all we can do." said Setsuna before she disappeared back
towards the Gates of Time
"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!" wailed Usagi "I thought we weren't going
to fight anymore super-powerful enemies after Galaxia!"
"QUIET MEATBALL-HEAD!!!" Rei screamed at her teary-eyed princess
"Stop being so mean to meeeeeeeeeeeee!"
The Senshi's meeting degraded soon after Setsuna's departure.
Masaki Household, early morning........
As the sun, started to rise from the horizon, Kyo shut himself off
from the rest of his surroundings and became a living whirlwind of
steel as he practiced advanced and complicated sword katas. He thrust
and parried, countered and reversed, fighting against imaginary
opponents, turning his practice into a beautiful, yet deadly dance.
*Still not as good as mom though.* Kyo thought, as he pushed his body
to its limits. After a while, Kyo stopped, wiped the sweat of his brow,
and sheathed his katana.
Hearing sounds of clapping; he turned to see Motoko and Yuna at the
front door grinning at him, after silently watching his awesome display
of skill.
Motoko sauntered up to him and said in a mock-appraising voice,
"My, my you really have improved Kyo-niisan. But your skill is still
nothing compared to mine."
"Is that so, Motoko-chan?" Kyo asked, smiling sweetly at his younger
sister as he unsheathed his katana.
"Why yes, Kyo-niisan. In fact, my skills would just be degraded if
I spar with you." Motoko answered as she stood in front of Kyo.
Without warning, Kyo swung his sword at his annoying sister with
lightning fast speed. He then went to a stance, seeing Motoko land a
few feet away from him, and said,
"Let's dance." then vanishing, but in reality moving towards his sister
at what would be considered god-speed.
Motoko merely smirked, "Don't disappoint me, big brother."
The sounds of swords clashing rang out in the crisp morning air, as
Motoko met Kyo's charge with her own. Yuna merely sighed at the
fighting of the dueling siblings.
*Bakas* she thought as she went back inside the Masaki household, to
help prepare breakfast.
"Some things never change." she muttered leaving her older brother and
sister alone to finish their fight.
As she came into the kitchen, she saw Sasami already cooking breakfast.
She merely strode up to the girl, who turned and smiled at her.
"Do you need any help?" Yuna asked softly
"Sure you can help Yuna-sempai!" Sasami beamed at the older girl "Can
you set out the plates for me?" she asked pointing to a cabinet
"Of course Sasami-chan." complied Yuna moving towards the cabinet,
giggling as she remembered what had happened last night.
--==Flashback==--
After going back towards the Masaki house and after its residents heard
what Katsuhito had to say, two voiced their concerns...
"HOW COULD YOU LET THIS HUSSY STAY HERE FOR THE NIGHT!" shouted Ryoko,
pointing at Motoko's floating figure.
"THE DEMON'S RIGHT! SHE MIGHT BE DOING THIS JUST TO SEDUCE MY TENCHI-
SAMA!" said Ayeka simultaneously agreeing and insulting Ryoko
Ryoko looked at Ayeka with eyes burning in anger
"DEMON?! YOUR TENCHI-SAMA?! HE'S MINE YOU BRAT!"
Ayeka just glared at Ryoko, as logs started to appear around her
"HOW DARE YOU INSULT A PRINCESS OF THE GREATEST EMPIRE IN THE
UNIVERSE!!"
Before they could go at each other's throats, Kyo tried to get their
attention,
"Um...excuse me..." he said lamely
The two women's 'demon heads' glared at him and shouted,
"WHAT?!!!"
"Waaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!! S-Scary!!!" Kyo backpedaled towards the wall
away from the two.
"We are sorry for Motoko-neesan's behavior." Yuna bowed in apology to
the two "But rest assured that she has no feelings what so ever to
Masaki Tenchi." she finished.
"Plus they're only staying here for the night and will leave tomorrow
morning for Juuban." said Katsuhito trying to calm the two volatile
women.
Both women 'hmped' and turned away from each other.
"As long as she stays away from Tenchi." they both said in unison
"Excellent, now if you three can follow me I'll take you all to Washu
and she could help us with the sleeping arrangements." said Katsuhito
to the three; he noticed them visibly tense when he mentioned the name
Washu.
*I wonder why* he thought curiously to himself
"That's okay old man, I got a place to sleep." said Motoko as she took
out a big pillow from her small pack. Katsuhito raised an eyebrow at
what she did and asked,
"Oh? Where would that be?"
Motoko smirked and disappeared only to reappear on one of the roof
rafters.
*She acts so much like Ryoko.* Katsuhito thought
"Yuna-chan you can bunk with one of the girls." said Kyo to the younger
girl, who could only sigh in relief.
"That's a good idea, Yuna-chan could bunk with Sasami for tonight since
they are almost at the same age." said Katsuhito, smiling at the silent
Yuna
"Thank you for your hospitality." Yuna thanked softly
"I'll sleep on the couch Masaki-san, so no need to bother Washu-chan."
Kyo said with a sweatdrop on his face.
Katsuhito slightly frowned at the young man when he heard him say
'Washu- chan'
"Oh but I INSIST." said a super kawai voice behind the two
Kyo jumped when he heard the voice, turning around he looked down and
saw a pink-haired 12 yr. old girl with a strange glint in her eyes.
*Gotta act like I've never met her* Kyo thought desperately to himself
"H-Hello little girl, and who might you be?" he asked trying not to
sound too scared
"Kyo this is Washu." informed Katsuhito to the young man about the girl
in front of him
"Washu-CHAN." corrected Washu in her cutesy voice, as she looked at Kyo
undressing him with her eyes.
*This isn't good.* thought Kyo desperately to himself, trying to get
away from Washu. Turning to his two younger sisters for help, he sweat
dropped when he realized that the two vanished when Katsuhito
introduced Washu to him, trying to avoid certain doom at the hands of
the mad scientist.
*Cowards!* he thought angrily at his sisters actions upon seeing one
of their 'grandmother', and started to think ways to get back at his
sisters' spinelessness.
"Nice to meet you Kyo-san, Katsuhito told me that you needed some help
with the sleeping arrangements." said Washu
"Yeah." Kyo mumbled still deep in thought
"Ok I can help you with that Kyo-san, but you wouldn't mind if you
could help me with some 'experiments'?" asked a giddy Washu
"Sure Washu-chan, I would be glad to help." Kyo said not listening to
a word Washu said.
He was too deep in thought to see Washu's starry eyes with little
hearts around them and Katsuhito's pale face.
"Well c'mon Kyo-san this way." said a very happy Washu as she tugged
Kyo towards the broom closet.
*May his eternal soul rest in peace.* Katsuhito thought as he watched
the red-haired young man walked into what would be his tomb.
*Hey where am I?* Kyo asked himself finally getting out of his thoughts
and looking at his surroundings. He heard an ominous sound of a door
closing itself behind him; he turned around saw a door of light close
itself, leaving him in complete darkness
"No...." Kyo muttered in dread realization, as he frantically looked
around for an avenue of escape.
Suddenly a beam of light illuminated a medical examination table; Kyo's
fear grew at what would happen.
"No...." he muttered once more, trying to move away from the table,
trying to stop the inevitable. He found that he couldn't move his legs
and saw that they were clamped down by some sort of metal, he tried to
break free, he heard giggling coming from the darkness.
"W-Washu-chan p-please release m-me at once!" he pleaded at the
darkness
A very adult and drop-dead gorgeous Washu in a sexy, revealing nurse
uniform stepped out from the darkness and slowly approached the doomed
young man, like a lion stalking its prey.
"Now why would I do that, my lovely guinea pig? The night is still
young and we have so much to do." said a smirking question as she ever
got closer to the flailing Kyo
"Let me go!" pleaded Kyo once again
"Don't worry Kyo-san; I'm an angel of mercy here to help." Washu said
as she stepped in front of the young man and whispered seductively in
his ear,
"Where does it hurt?"
Kyo's scream of horror erupted from the broom closet, followed by
maniacal laughter of a mad scientist about to experiment on one of her
new guinea pigs.
*Sorry Kyo-niisan.* thought Yuna to herself as Sasami showed her to
their room for the night, ignoring the cries of horror coming from the
broom closet downstairs. She always thought that her father was joking
with his stories about Washu-obaasan, but now she wished that her
brother would survive the night.
"Feh, better him than me." muttered Motoko as she re-appeared back on
one of the roof rafters, she couldn't help but feel a little bit of
pity to her older brother. Hearing her brother scream like a little
girl, Motoko burst out laughing and her pity for him already forgotten.
"Should have bought a digital recorder." she said to herself as she
continued to laugh at her brother's plight.
--==End Flashback==--
"What's going on?" asked weary Tenchi as he walked groggily into the
kitchen
"Oh it's just Kyo-niisan and Motoko-neesan having one of their morning
fights." answered Yuna smiling at Tenchi, as if on cue a huge explosion
was heard slightly shaking the house.
"Those two are like Ryoko and Ayeka." said Sasami giggling as another
explosion occurred more loudly than the last. Seeing Tenchi run
outside, Yuna sighed and simply followed the young man to make sure
that wouldn't get caught in the cross-fire. She ignored the throng of
people coming from different parts of the house asking about the loud
noises.
Outside........
Both fighters were tired but they pushed their aching muscles to go on,
neither wanting to admit defeat to the other. They were solely focused
on each other, ignoring the gathering spectators at the front door of
the Masaki house. They locked swords once more, before jumping a couple
of feet away from each other. Kyo jumped high and swung his sword in a
360 degree motion, shouting out as a ring of raging fire extended from
his form,
"FATED CIRCLE!"
Motoko merely summoned an energy shield to block the incoming wall of
fire before it engulfed her. Grinding her teeth in frustration as the
flames battered against her shield, she gave a loud cry as she expelled
the flames with a burst of energy. She stabbed her own katana at the
ground and jumped on top of it. She gathered a huge ball of cackling
energy in one of her hands and jumped high and shouted,
"Energy Rain!"
The spectators gasped in awe as they watched Motoko's huge energy ball
splitting itself apart into smaller spheres of destructive energy. Kyo
merely snorted and batted the deadly projectiles away, causing some to
head towards the spectators.
Tenchi's eyes grew in horror as he realized too late that he would not
be able to dodge or block the incoming spheres of energy in time. But a
red barrier stopped the energy spheres dead in their tracks. Spectators
were dumbstruck at what had happened.
"Do not worry, we are safe behind the barrier." said Yuna softly, as
she assured them that they wouldn't be hurt by any stray projectiles.
"Amazing!" said Katsuhito as he watched the battle with appraising eyes
"They're unbelievable!" exclaimed Washu as she furiously typed on her
wrist computer as she tried to record the power coming from the two
fighters.
"That girl's pretty strong." said Ryoko, wondering to herself, if she
could get Motoko to teach her some of those moves.
Ayeka and Kiyone were speechless at the power displayed by the two
warring siblings. Mihoshi...well Mihoshi was just happy that she was
watching the two fight like those on the sentai animes she watched on
TV.
*Damn, I can't keep this up any longer.* Motoko thought to herself,
breathing hard. She knew that Kyo was pretty tired too, but she also
knew that he had better stamina than her.
"Time to end this, Kyo-niisan." she said as she slowly sheathed her
katana and went into a battou jutsu stance.
Kyo raised his eyebrow at what his younger sister planned to do.
*So she's going to use the succession technique eh?* he thought to
himself. He had known that his sister secretly studied the forbidden
sword style, but he never knew that she had already mastered it.
*Heh, but I know how to counter that technique.* he smirked, despite
how his muscles ached in exhaustion.
"I agree Motoko-chan it's time we end this." he went into a defensive
stance and waited for Motoko's strike
"What is she doing?" asked a curious Katsuhito to Yuna as she calmly
observed the battle as it neared its climax.
"Motoko-neesan is about to use the succession technique, Ama Kakeru Ryu
No Hirameki, to end the fight." answered Yuna softly
"Ama Kakeru Ryu No Hirameki?" asked a confused Tenchi
"It is a battou jutsu stance that uses absolute god-speed to annihilate
any foe." elaborated Yuna, she saw Washu use some sort of recording
device to record what she had said
Any further questions were stopped when Motoko lunged forward a blinked
out of existence. Yuna said softly,
"It begins."
Kyo's eyes strained as he kept track of Motoko's rapidly approaching
form, the secret of Ama Kakeru Ryu No Hirameki was the added step the
swordswoman needed to take, whether be it left or right, the added
step would give more power to her katana as she drew it out, giving
it enough strength to break through her opponent's defenses.
*Right or left?!* he asked to himself as she was mere heart beats away
from him now. Then he saw it,
"Left!" he shouted as he blocked downwards to avoid the slice aimed
below his ribs and took a step backwards to absorb the blow.
"He blocked it!" exclaimed Katsuhito, as he saw Kyo block the deadly
strike
*Even if one evades the fangs of the dragon by soaring high, they get
drawn in by the furious wind, then are shredded by the claws.* thought
Yuna to herself
Kyo and Motoko gritted their teeth as their swords clashed against each
other, vying for dominance.
Using all his strength, Kyo used both hands and forced his sword
upwards to break their stalemate.
"He shook it off! He broke the Ama Kakeru Ryu No Hirameki!" shouted
Tenchi in surprise.
"IGNITE!"
Kyo shouted, raising his sword high as fire swirled around it.
"Tsui No Hiken, Kagazuchi." said Yuna outloud, recognizing one of Kyo's
favorite moves.
A ripple started to form in front of Motoko suddenly, time slowed, and
Kyo was slowly pulled towards Motoko, his eyes widened in surprise at
what was happening. Everyone gasped at the turn of events.
*The hell?! I'm being drawn towards her* he thought furiously to
himself, as he racked his mind for the answer. His eyes widened as he
saw the ripple in front of him.
*No...I'm not. There's a vacuum in front of her, drawing me in.* he
realized *the air's been displaced by the impact and power of her first
blow that I blocked!*
Kyo's eyes just widened more as he realized that he had fallen into a
trap *She's created a void that's shattered the air around me and is
pulling me in!*
Motoko completed her 360 degree turn and roared as her foot shattered
the ground beneath from sheer force, adding more strength to the blow.
"She's going to kill him!" shouted Ayeka in horror
"We gotta stop her!" exclaimed Ryoko as she prepared to teleport to
save Kyo from certain death. But she was stopped by Washu, who merely
shook her head and indicated towards Yuna, who was still watching
undisturbed at what was about to happen.
Motoko grinned in victory, and at the last moment flipped her katana so
that the reversed end of the blade would hit Kyo. She was caught off
guard, when she effortlessly cut him in half with the blunt side of her
katana. Her gasped in surprise when Kyo's body burst in a shower of
flower petals.
"C-Cherry blossoms?" Motoko asked herself in disbelief, she suddenly
felt cold steel against her sword, turning around; she saw Kyo madly
grinning at her and declared,
"I win."
Juuban Ward.......
After resting from their 'sparring match' and saying good-bye to the
alien residents at Masaki Shrine a few hours ago, Kyo teleported them
to the outskirts of Juuban and walked from there. They wanted to see
the sights that Juuban had to offer and they also wanted to surprise
their grandmother.
"Wow look at this place, it's so...." Motoko looking around and trailed
off not knowing what word to use to best describe Juuban.
"Peaceful?" asked Yuna
"Yeah, it's kinda boring if you ask me." said Motoko as she ignored the
wolf whistles sent her way by some passing men.
"Is fighting all you think of?" asked Kyo sighing
"Yup." answered Motoko
"Fighting does not always solve everything Motoko-neesan." said Yuna
softly
Motoko just 'hmped' and said, "You're such a pacifist, Yuna-chan."
"I merely chose my battles wisely." smiled Yuna
Kyo just laughed at what Yuna had said
The three soon found themselves eating lunch at a nearby restaurant
after hearing their stomachs rumble. Motoko looked at Kyo, who was
finishing off his third piece of steak and asked,
"How did you beat it?"
"Beat what?" Kyo asked dumbly
"How you beat the Ama Kakeru Ryu No Hirameki." Motoko said frowning
Kyo groaned, she had been asking him that since they left the shrine
and wouldn't let it drop.
*I should just have let her hit me.* he thought groaning mentally once
again
"Look Motoko-chan I just used a technique taught to me by Aunt Fuu and
I ain't saying anymore." he said with a tone of finality.
Motoko sighed in defeat when she heard him in that voice, so she just
settled at glaring at her brother. Who ignored her glares and went back
to eating his food normally (scooped food into his mouth like a machine
gun).
*I'll find out soon enough, then vengeance will be mine Kyo-niisan!*
Motoko got a maniacal look on her face and started laughing evilly.
Insert image of chibi Motoko jumping up and down over a defeated Kyo.
Looking at her older siblings, Yuna grew a sweat drop.
*Why can't I have normal siblings* she thought to herself sighing,
that's when the screams began.
Mizuno Household.......
Ami Mizuno was just finishing up on her homework, when her Mercury
computer started to go beep wildly. Momentarily startled by the sudden
noise, she quickly checked and saw that there were multiple signs of
Youma, near the shopping district in Juuban.
*So many.* she thought to herself, tapping on her wrist communicator,
she informed the other girls to the situation. She quickly transformed
and leapt of the window, roof hopping towards her destination. The
Senshi, minus Pluto, met up in the rooftops from different directions
where the attack occurred. They saw that they had arrived too late and
that some of the Youma's were charging at a young red-haired man just
standing there not making any effort to move or run, they also noticed
two girls watching the scene nearby.
Minutes before the Senshi's arrival.......
After the three heard the screams coming from outside, they rushed
outside to see a flood of people running towards them in panic, behind
them were Youmas destroying property and threatening the general
population. Watching over them was a huge Youma with a massive war
hammer slung over one shoulder, while perched on his other was a
smaller demon with long wicked claws protruding from its hands.
"All right! And here I thought that this place would be boring." said
Motoko, cracking her knuckles, an energy sword appearing in her hand.
Before she could charge into the fray, she was stopped by Kyo who only
shook his head.
"They're mine."
"But...." Motoko protested only to see that he had ignored her and
walked slowly towards the rampaging leaders.
"He keeps taking all the fun." she growled as her energy sword
disappeared, as she sighed in defeat and watched.
"Don't worry Motoko-neesan, you can get the next batch of demons that
appears." said Yuna trying to console her older sister, who nodded and
smiled evilly at the thought.
Both girls heard a cry of surprise and pain and turned to see a little
girl fall down on the unforgiving pavement as she tripped. One of the
Youmas loomed before the fallen girl, grinning at the terrified child
as it prepared to deal the death blow. Only to be cut in half by Kyo,
as he suddenly appeared in front of the girl and swung his sword.
All the other Youmas stopped what they were doing and looked at the
human who had easily dispatched by one of their brethren, even the two
commanding Youmas looked on with surprise and disbelief on their faces.
"Run." Kyo said to the girl and looked at the Youma who were watching
the turn of events in shock, the little girl sniffed, nodding and ran,
not looking behind.
"How many are you?" asked Kyo as he mentally counted off how many Youma
there were "15? Good. I need a little exercise." he finished smirking
at them.
The Youmas just got riled up and growled after hearing the puny human
say that they would just give him a little exercise.
"Well what are waiting for? Come get me. Seriously. Either way, YOU'RE
DEAD!" said Kyo goading them on.
"Okay...who wants to die first?" he asked the Youmas, motioning them to
attack.
"Impudent mortal!" exclaimed one Youma in anger, as en massed they
charged as one at Kyo
"Let's see how tough you are with my claw in your belly human!" shouted
another Youma
"Come on human! Try all of us at once!" another shouted as they neared
the unmoving Kyo. That was when the Sailor Senshi arrived at a nearby
rooftop and saw that they were too late to save Kyo from what would be
his imminent death. Their eyes widened in shock and horror at happened
next.
"Raise your sword, warrior! Or are you too scared?" asked a Youma
mocking Kyo's still form.
"DIE!!!" shouted a Youma his clawed hand flying towards Kyo's face.
Six died instantly, black blood and gore spilling from decapitated body
parts, as Kyo felled them with a single stroke.
"I've never seen anyone move so fast! He's like lightning!" exclaimed
Mercury as she tried to get her computer to analyze the speeds Kyo
moved at.
"Next? Come on." said Kyo, wiping blood that landed on his hand off
The remaining nine charged at Kyo, despite seeing six of their brethren
being killed so easily with one sword strike.
"Get him! Rip his stinking heart out!"
"Is your sword long enough for all of us?!"
Kyo smirked at the charging Youma,
"Heh....."
Kyo burst into action again, becoming a whirlwind of death, as more
body parts flew. The Sailor Senshi were shocked and disturbed upon
viewing the monster's very violent deaths.
"That....that's a very powerful sword technique!" said Uranus as she
watched him hack apart the Youmas.
"He looks like he swings his sword without even thinking, but......."
said Jupiter trailing off
"....he kills them with one blow." finished Mars
"Look Michiru-mama! Look at his face!" said Saturn as she pointed at
Kyo's face.
"He's...he's laughing!" said Neptune in surprise as she gazed at Kyo's
laughing figure
"He's enjoying the killing?!" asked Moon in a horrified voice
"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!" laughed Kyo as he finished off the last
lesser Youma
His danger sense went off, and he evaded the pulverizing attack of the
large Youma's massive war hammer.
"There is no honor in attacking from behind." Kyo said as he landed in
a crouch a few feet away.
"I disagree human." said voice behind Kyo
"What matters is that you win." said the small Youma as it appeared
right behind Kyo
"LOOK OUT!!!" shouted Venus in warning
"Time to die!" shouted the little devil as it swiped its claws at
Kyo only to hit air.
"What?! Where is he?!" cried the smaller Youma in surprise as it
frantically looked left and right for Kyo. It suddenly felt Kyo's
presence standing behind it at a considerable distance.
"Too slow demon....heh heh heh." said a grinning Kyo as he appeared
right behind the small Youma, mimicking its attack. The little demon's
eyes went wide with fear, terror, and surprise. It flew backwards as
Kyo cut off one of its arms.
"GYAAAAAAH!!!!" the small demon screamed in pain at losing one of its
appendages. The large demon was silent.
"Kami-sama! That guy's so fast! He's just toying with them!" said
Mercury as her computer failed to give her enough data on the warrior's
speed.
"Brother! Kill him now! Save me!!!" screamed the small Youma, clutching
at its bloody stump of what used to be its arm, as it backpedaled away
from an approaching Kyo.
The large youma merely ignored its brother's frantic cries for help.
"What are you doing brother?! Help me!!!" the small demon pleaded again
Raising his sword Kyo said to the small youma, "He can't help you. He
knows that you're already DEAD..."
His sword fell.
"NOOOOOOOoooooooooo!!!!!" the small demon screamed and as it was split
in half, it could only look at its brother and asked,
"Why...brother....why?"
"The weak deserve to die." the large demon said simply as it watched
the body of its brother turn to dust. It looked at the piled of dust
that used to be its minions and looked at Kyo,
"You've done well for a human. They were all strong fighters but I...
I am the strongest of all and you are no match for me."
Kyo snorted at the arrogant Youma's boast and said, "It's pretty
amazing at how empty your brain is demon...so why don't you TRY ME!"
"DIE YOU FOOLISH HUMAN!!!" the large demon roared as it brought down
its massive war hammer at Kyo.
Pieces of pavement flew everywhere from where the war hammer hit.
"Got you!" shouted the large demon, but Kyo had dodged the crushing
blow and disappeared.
"What?!" said the large youma in surprise "Where did he go?!" he looked
around his surroundings for his missing opponent.
"What's wrong? Lose something? You look like your brother." mocked a
familiar voice coming from every direction
"Where are you hiding, you cowardly human?!" the large youma asked
angrily, it never noticed the winds picking up.
"Now it's.........MY TURN!"
Standing atop one of the street lamps, Kyo smiled as he held his sword
in front of him horizontally, putting his index and middle finger at
the base of the blade, just above the hilt, and touched it. The blade
began to glow red, and as Kyo followed the outline with his fingers,
the glow began to extend towards the whole sword. Kyo held a glowing
blade high up in the air, the blade going downwards in an angle; both
of his hands on the hilt.
"Mumyo Jinpu Ryu Satsujin Ken." he uttered
"This fight is over." said Yuna as she saw Kyo preparing to end their
one- sided battle, Motoko simply nodded in agreement.
Glaring at the large youma, Kyo said the last part of his attack,
"Mizuchi." he jumped high up in the air and drove his sword downward
towards the large youma who looked up in surprise.
There was a flash of bright light that momentarily blinded both the
youma and the Senshi. As the light died down, the Senshi saw Kyo behind
the youma who looked unhurt from his attack.
"I didn't even feel a thing." the youma mocked Kyo as it looked at him,
roaring in laughter.
Kyo smiled coldly at the youma and said while he turned his back at it,
"I guess we know who the better fighter is."
"No one turns their back on me, little human!" roared the youma in
anger at Kyo's casual dismissal and charged at him, hoping to kill
the insolent human while his back turned to it.
It tried to swing its war hammer at him, only to have its arm fall off.
It screamed in agony it suddenly lost all feeling at one of its legs.
Its screams intensified as its remaining arm fell off.
"Shhhhhhhh..." said Kyo trying to quiet the screaming youma, as if he
was listening to something.
"Can you hear it?" Kyo asked the youma, who was still screaming. He
looked at the youma, closing his eyes and whispered,
"Kaze no Koe......."
The Youma ceased its screams at it fell apart into tiny pieces that
quickly disintegrated into dust afterwards.
"The sound of divine wind......." he finished as he calmly sheathed his
sword.
The Senshi were motionless as they watched the macabre play coming to
its gruesome finale.
"I wish you'd stop showing off, Kyo-niisan." said Motoko as she and
Yuna walked up to him
"Kyo-niisan always fights with style." said Yuna softly
"It makes me look cool." said Kyo laughing
Motoko snorted and said, "We better leave before trouble starts again."
Yuna looked to where the Senshi were and said,
"I agree with Motoko-neesan, we should take our leave now before they
shake themselves out of their stupor." she gestured to Kyo to a nearby
rooftop where the dazed Senshi were.
Fire swallowed the three and they were gone once again. A couple of
seconds later, the Senshi came out of their trance and surveyed the
scene of battle and found that the young man with red hair and his
two companions had vanished without a trace.
"Who are they?" Sailor Moon asked as the Senshi departed, upon hearing
the approaching sirens of police cars and ambulances.
Only silence was her answer, as each of the Senshi were deep in
thought, wondering if the young man and his two female companions
were the problem Setsuna had talked to them about yesterday.
Saotome household, Juuban..........
After teleporting a short distance away from the battlezone, the three
quickly continued their journey, eager to meet their grandmother. They
had asked people if they knew any Azuma Nodoka, some of them had
pointed to where a Saotome Nodoka lived and after a few hours of
walking, they had arrived late afternoon at the Saotome household and
were disappointed to see only an empty lot.
"Crap, I thought for sure the directions that old man gave us were
right." said Kyo as he looked at a piece of paper.
"Good job at getting us lost Kyo-niisan." said Motoko as she glared at
Kyo
"No, we have the right directions." Yuna said as she looked at the
piece of paper that Kyo held "it's just the house isn't here any
longer."
"That sucks, we're back at square one again." said Kyo sighing in
disappointment
"Well let's ask the neighbors again, one of them might tell us where we
could find Nodoka-obaasan." said Motoko as she pointed so some of the
houses next to the empty lot.
The three were soon informed by a neighbor about the events of the
failed wedding of Ranma Saotome and Akane Tendo. The neighbor also told
them that Nodoka Saotome was now living at the Tendo Dojo in Nerima and
gave directions on how to get there. Thanking the man, they quickly
made their way towards Nerima encountering a few more Youmas, but were
quickly dispatched by Motoko.
Tendo household, Nerima early evening.......
It had been a quiet eight months for people at the Tendo household,
since Ranma had left, life at the Tendo house had become dull and
boring. After dropping the name Saotome and using her maiden name once
again, Azuma Nodoka started to train, in preparation for when her ex-
husband would show his cowardly face again. Though she still grieved at
the loss of her son, she tried to move on with her life as best as she
could.
Kasumi was still all smiles, but that same smile that usually dazzled
everyone that saw it was a bit dimmer lately. She hid her sadness
behind a mask of ignorance, and her smile failed to reach her eyes
these last few months. Nabiki's cold persona seemed to radiate
everywhere these days; she was taking her frustrations out on Kuno's
wallet. Soun cried less but he still blamed himself on what Akane had
become. Nabiki was notified by her informants that Akane had stayed at
Dr. Tofu's clinic for a couple of nights, before she disappeared,
probably searching for the eternally lost boy.
The amazons still retained their place in the Nekohanten; Cologne's
explanation was that she wanted Shampoo to get an education. But Nabiki
suspected that they stayed behind in hopes that Ranma would someday
come back to them.
Ukyo's restaurant was still a great rival for the Nekohanten. Her
okonomiyaki were still hot in Nerima. Both Kunos were still a pest, the
female Kuno visiting every once in a while at the Tendos asking if her
'Ranma-sama' had returned. Tatewaki still spouted every morning at how
he vanquished the 'evil sorcerer' and claimed vengeance against one
Hibiki Ryoga for taking the fierce tigress's virginity.
Nodoka, Soun, Nabiki, and Kasumi were quietly eating dinner, when
a loud knock broke them out of their monotonous actions. Sighing
internally, Kasumi stood up from the table and quickly made her way
towards the gates.
Pushing them open, Kasumi saw a tall, red-haired young man accompanied
by two girls. Kasumi bowed low to them and said, "Welcome to the Tendo
Dojo. My name is Tendo Kasumi, what I can do for you?"
The young man stepped forward and bowed, "Greetings Tendo-san. My name
is Kyo, and these are my younger sisters, Motoko and Yuna." the taller
female nodded at Kasumi, while the smaller female bowed slightly. The
young man named Kyo continued, "We have come from far, to see Azuma
Nodoka on a personal matter."
*Oh my! I hope that one of those girls is not another one of Ranma's
fiancées.* Kasumi thought frowning slightly. She shook her head
mentally and flashed one of her smiles at her guests.
"Where are my manners?! Please come in! I'll take you to Auntie Nodoka,
just follow me." although the pledge between the Saotomes and Tendos
had been dissolved already, Nodoka insisted that Nabiki and Kasumi call
her 'Auntie'.
Three followed her inside the house until they reached the dining room,
where Kasumi announced them and their intentions. Soun and Nabiki were
puzzled on why the three wanted to see Nodoka.
Nodoka just sighed, mentally cursing Genma and his fat stomach; she
really hoped that they weren't here to discuss about one of the girls
being engaged to her son. So she was surprised when she was in the
middle of a three-way hug by the visitors.
"I-I'm sorry but I think we've never met before." Nodoka said as she
broke the hug.
The young man smiled at her and said, "That's true, but you've already
met our father."
"Who's your father?" asked Nodoka, trying to search her memories but
coming up with nothing.
The taller female just laughed as the other female answered Nodoka's
question in a soft voice,
"Your son, Ranma."
"WHAT?!!!" Soun, Nabiki, and Kasumi shouted in surprise.
Nodoka fainted with a smile on her face. But before the darkness could
claim her, she could only think one thing about her son, Ranma.
*WAI! My son is so manly!!!*
