A Soliloquy of Life: Introduction

A/N: Hello all I am Ret Nuh and I just want to let you people know how I approached my story so you can determine if you want to spend the time reading this garbage or not. This is first, foremost, and most definitely a WAFF. I wrote this because I was really bored/depressed/frustrated at work and needed something fun to do while I wasted away my time waiting on other people. If you are a stickler for Eva detail or like darkfics, you probably should stop reading this now. If you are looking for something fun and don't mind me playing a little with the characters you might like it. There will be a lot of zaniness, happiness, romance, a smidge of drama, minor violence, and some lemonish parts. (Oh…and if you are under 18 or are not allowed to read the lemonish parts where you are, you must skip them.) Also be aware I am not taking myself very seriously as I write this because I am doing it for my own personal pleasure and I am debating whether or not I should rename this junk Eva OOC x 10^9. And one final warning this is my first fanfic. Read whatever you want into that, I don't care.

Beginning of things going horribly awry:

This story starts after the death of Karowu, and then takes a hard right from the original one, zigzags down the road, and will end up someplace that not even I know of. And just to let you know I am sort of free writing this bugger.

 

Immediately after Karowu death somehow the Magi system had a glitch and released all the information it had on Seele to the media and the U.N. The system had more information on them than expected, thanks to a certain man who was believed to be dead. Both the U.N. and the JSSDF quickly realized they were being played for fools in a very complex game. They halted plans concerning an invasion of Nerv and instead rounded up and arrested all the members of the Seele organization. The group is now locked up together in a specially designed maximum security prison where they are all incarcerated in a cell with a conference table in the middle of it. This table is mainly used for praying. Specifically, praying that the security guards don't let in the permanent lynch mob that is outside waiting to get their hands on them.

 

While the U.N. was busy dealing with Seele, Gendo decided it was time to put his plan into action before he too was caught.

In a serious tone Gendo ordered “Come Fuyutsuki, now that the last angel is gone I must complete my Instrumentality plan before the UN takes action.”

“Yes sir” Fuyutsuki replied as the two left Gendo's office and headed towards dogma.

But as they went down the hall a very angry Misato stepped in front of them and yelled “Stop right their Commander Ikari, we need to talk.”

In a very serious tone Gendo replied “Major Katsuragi you are impeding my objective, get out of my way or you will be forcibly handled.” Gendo went for his gun to remove this obstacle and two shots were fired.

 

One of the shots hit the gun in Gendo's hand, destroying it, the other shot hit his other hand destroying something much more valuable to him.

As she blew the smoke away from the barrel of her own gun Major Katsuragi said “I am a little too well trained for your ideas”. She then added deviously “And you don't have to worry about your precious hand, because it is pretty much worthless. Kaji is seeing to it that Lillith, Unit 01, and Unit 02 will be permanently unavailable.” (A/N: Don't ask how, just accept it)

“But how, Kaji is dead” a surprised and now in pain Gendo grimaced.

Misato explained “It is amazing what some fake blood and a Kevlar vest can make a situation look like.”

Gendo was now running out of options and ordered Fuyutsuki to restrain Major Katsuragi at any cost, but there was no answer. “Fuyutsuki I said restrain her!” Gendo yelled a second time. Still no answer. In a confused voice he called out “Kouzou where are you?” and as he looked over he saw Fuyutsuki standing against the wall to the side of him.

Kouzou spoke to him in a very cold manner “This matter is between the Major and you. I have no intentions of getting involved.” He then nodded at Misato, turned his back to them and walked away.

When Gendo turned his attention back to Misato, she yelled the last thing he would hear for a very long while. “This is for trying to kill Kaji, and for making the children go through a living hell.”

 

Kouzou went into Gendo's office to watch on the security monitors what was happening and was laughing out loud as he saw Misato tearing apart Gendo, although he did wish he had some popcorn. After about 30 minutes though he started to fell a little bad for his old friend and told security and medical there was a minor accident that they were needed for, but no big rush.

 

The resulting carnage was brutal. When Security and Medical finally got to the scene they saw Major Katsuragi standing there with her hands, feet, and clothing drenched in blood. And she was standing over the bloody form of what seemed to be a man that was wearing the commander's clothes. But the blob looked like every bone in his body had been broken and every inch of his skin beaten. And if that wasn't bad enough there seemed to be a pair of broken glasses shoved up into a place they clearly weren't meant to be.

The medical team kind of snickered at the bloody pulp of the man in front of them, and as they were putting him on a stretcher one of them said “He must be in indescribable pain” with Ritsuko responding “Serves him right.”

The chief of security wasn't as agreeing as the others and yelled “WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THE COMMANDER!” at Misato.

Fuyutsuki took this as his cue to reenter the situation.

When he got there he said “I see you properly punished Mr. Ikari was for his treason, Commander Katsuragi.”

“COMMANDER KATSURSAGI” the chief of security and Ritsuko yelled back simultaneously.

Misato yelled back at them “DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT?”

Looking at the bloody stump of a man now being carried off to the intensive care ward by the medical techs and the gun in Misato's hand, the chief of security replied quickly with a `No Commander Katsuragi” and he and the rest of the security team quickly fled the area.

As Ritsuko left the scene she smirked “Congratulations Misato, or should I say Commander Katsuragi”

Misato smirked back at her and then turned her attention to Kouzou. “Now as for you Fuyutsuki. Thank You.”

Kouzou responded “I am just glad you were able to stop him. Now all this shit can finally come to an end.” He then looked at her and added “You should really get cleaned up, all that blood is quite unflattering.” She just let out a laugh and headed for the showers. If she was lucky they may already be someone there waiting to help clean her up.

 

After all this had happened and Seele was locked away, the UN called an emergency meeting to address the situation. After viewing the video of the savage beating they called out for pizza and beer and ordered the interns to make some popcorn, as they were going to have to be up all night to “Review” the video and discuss what further actions would be taken. After the UN spokesman had sobered up enough to talk, late the next day, he announced that the UN agreed with Nerv's decision and that Misato was now in command, that and she deserved a big raise. They also stressed that even though the threat of angels were gone Nerv would continue it's operation for “Safety *cough*cover-up*cough* Reasons.”

 

Misato's first command was for the rebuilding of Tokyo-3. Along with rebuilding the city she had most of Nerv headquarters moved and rebuilt on the surface. The water that had flooded the city and surrounding area was drained into the geofront, which was then permanently sealed off. What was sealed inside was too dangerous for civilization to have access to. She then ordered all other branches of Nerv to shut down except for a skeleton crew which would be responsible for maintaining the other Magi systems as they could still be of use in helping to fix the world. As for the MP Eva's, they were launched into space and detonated. The parts of the city that had been destroyed were quickly rebuilt and within several months everyone was back and life was finally able to continue along a more normal path.

 

With the world able to continue and the threat of angels now gone, Misato and Kaji got married and adopted Shinji and Asuka as their own children. My story now starts a few weeks into the kid's Junior year of high school.
