Neon Genesis Evangelion:Unlikely Saviour

Asuka Langley Soryu was terrified.She was lying in the entryplug of

her Eva,seriously wounded from the neural feedback agony of having

a lance of longinus rammed through Unit 02's eye.Her situation was grim

indeed.Her Eva's backup batteries had run dry and the Production model Eva's

she'd fought and thought defeated had regenerated themselves.Somehow,

an external camera was still running off a tiny bit of power that remained

for life support,and Asuka could see the production models closing in

for the kill.They were nearly upon her when she heard a loud voice coming from

behind her assailants."BIG!POWER!FIGHTO!SWORDO!FIREY!!What she saw

made her think she'd gone mad from pain and combat fatigue.There stood

what to Asuka's eyes looked like a 150 foot tall ten year old girl wearing a samurai's kimono and hakama.In her hands,the giantess

held a massive sword that blazed and shone as if were the sun itself.The Eva's

charged their new foe,mad with bloodlust,lances held high.The first to reach her was

instantly cleaved in half and exploded in a ball of flame.The second was met with

a barrage of punches and kicks of such unspeakable force that the Eva shatttered

into a thousand pieces,the pieces swept into oblivion by a sweep of the giantess's sword.

Three more of the Eva's not wishing to risk close combat, hurled their lances at the giant child.

She pulled out a couple of huge cards and shouted "SHIELDO!!And the hurled lances were repelled

by a great invisible wall that encirled her.With surpising speed she snatched up the three lances and

hurled them back to their owners.The three spear throwers were impaled by their own lances,and

the giantess held up the second card and shouted "THUNDER!!"and three massive bolts of lightning erupted

from her hand and surged into the lances that had impaled the three.There were three howls of agony and the

trio collapsed into a pile of ashes.The two surviving model's sprouted their wings and took to the sky,

hoping to divebomb their tormentor.The giantess pulled out yet another card and shouted"Fly" and sprouted wings

of her own and took off in pursuit.They were so high up,Asuka could barely make out the 3 titanic figures but her comm

link faintly picked up a signal from one of the production models."Mein Gott!Vat in ze hell is she!!!" A moment

later the signal went dead and the last two Evas plummeted burning from the sky and slammed into the earth,

the impact making Unit 02 tremble.The titanic child flew down to earth and landed.She then spoke

several words Asuka couldnt make out and the blazing sword and her wings vanished.The giantess then

turned her attention toward Unit 02 and walked over to it.The giantess reached down to Unit 02's prone form and gently removed

the entry plug and sat it on the ground.The next thing Asuka knew,the entry plug hatch was torn free and she saw

her saviour in her normal diminutive dimensions.The child climbed into the entry plug and spoke:"Don't be afraid.I won't hurt you."

"You are going to be fine."She laid her hand on Asuka's forehead and Asuka felt a warm healing energy that flowed through her body,

restoring her left eye and making her wounds vanish."Please!" Asuka pleaded."You saved my life!!"

Please tell me your name!!" "Sakura" replied the child."Kinomoto Sakura" "Thank you Sakura-sama."Asuka said,her eyes filed with joyful tears.

Just as Asuka fell into a peaceful sleep,one last word escaped her lips:haaaaayaaann..
