Shinji Joins the UFC.

Chapter Three: Tournament
To day was the day that Shinji had been looking forward for a week all the training all the beatings he took and all the sweat and tears and blood that he had shred for his goal of proving that he isn’t a weak little boy that everyone thinks he is. No it would all end to day at the tournament, after today no would even dare to call him weak nobody would walk over him, for had done his training and he had cried the tears and shred the blood, no after today he was no longer a boy but he was a man.
Shinji arrived at the arena early for he wanted to train a little bit more today he wasn’t just fighting for himself no he was all so fighting for misato, asuka, toji, kensuke, dante and all the people that counted on him to protect then from the angels. Shinji had been training for this for two-weeks and he couldn’t wait to show every-one what he could do. The only though on his mind was what will everyone think after I do this, this was on thought that shinji could not answered himself.

Dante was just as ready for the tournament like shinji it’s just that shinji is fighting for a reason and he wasn’t doses that make him a less of a man? Dante and Shinji both know that it will probably come down to the two of them fighting in the finals, who would win? Dante knew that if he tried to stand toe to toe with shinji he would get knocked out but if he brought the fight to the ground then he would win; it would the classic match up striker versus a grappler.
Dante knew the reason why Chris, Forrest, and Stephan had decided to stay out of each of there corners and just let them fight for themselves. The tournament would begin in a couple hours and dante had something he had to do.

" I can’t believe the baka left without making us breakfast!" asuka screamed out, not only did she have to cancel her shopping trip with kaji and now shinji leaves with out making her breakfast to say the leas she was pissed as where misato was just smiling.
"How can you be smiling right now!" the red head shouted
"Well shinji dose have his tournament in an hour so…." she replied with a smile
"You know he is going to get hurt and your letting him go through with this" Asuka asked
"Yep" was all she said still remembering the conversation that took place an hour ago?
*********Flashback
Misato had found shinji sitting at the kitchen table listening to his mp3 player (A/N I want to Switch it up.) she had tried to change shinji mind but end up only making him more determined to go through with it.
"You know you don’t have to do this," she said
"I know but if I don’t do this nothing will change" he replied as he walked out the door.

Asuka and misato where still in the same position.
"You know you could all ways just tell shinji that you’re worried about him," the purple haired lady said with a smile on her face.
Asuka face matched her hair when misato mention that she might be worried about him,
"I am not worried about that dork if he wants to get beat up then fine by me" she yelled and stormed off to her room.

Dante had just arrived at his parent gravesite, they had died a year ago and he would offend find himself here when he was not sure of himself. Dante offend asked for their counsel and guidance in hard times. He tolled them about how he had made a knew friend and how he was competing in a tournament and he wish they were still here, he also tolled them that if he wins the tournament he will send for his sister that at this time is living with there aunt. The tournament is to commence in forty-five minuets.

Shinji was already in his locker room getting ready he was the first to fight, he was going against some one named ken, and he is from America, his style kickboxing so shinji would have to watch out for his kicks. Shinji while he was getting his hands wrapped he was listening to his mp3 player, the room was silent after the guy that wrapped shinji hands at left all that could be heared was the soft click of the repeat on the mp3 player clicking on.
People where now just arriving for the fight, misato and asuka since they were family of the fighter they sat right octagon seated next to them was another family. The mother turned and started to talk to misato and asuka could hear every word of it and the more she heared the more she was afraid for shinji, supposal the lady’s husband was who shinji was fighting and she said she felt bad for shinji.

‘It’s time’ shinji thought as he walked out.
"And fighting out of the red corner wearing the Black short Shinji "the Beast" Ikari.
All the heads turned to where shinji was walking to the ring and into the octagon, now it was time. His opponent was already they’re waiting for him with a mean look on his face.
Ken came right out of his side throwing a visous right high kick aimed at shinji head, with his size and speed he when’d under and land a powerful right hook he swore he could have heared the rib break, ken came back with a knee to shinji face, when they separated blood was every, shinji through a left right and landed both to ken face shinji through a knee that hit ken in the same place that his first punch landed they separated as the bell rung signaling that the round was over. Asuka and misato couldn’t believe that shinji was doing this all the blood that was coming from shinji nose was making asuka more worried.
" Shinji you need to step it up in this round." dante said to him " shinji remember that this is your time and it is the time to prove that you aren’t a weak little boy"
The bell rung again and dante was right shinji came back landed to power right hooks the put his opponent on the mat that when every body saw the reason why he was called the beast, shinji pounced on ken as he was on the ground raining blow after blow on his opponents head, the referee came in and end the match giving it to shinji.
"By win of TKO Shinji "the Beast" Ikari."
As shinji walked away he looked at asuka and through her the victory sign, asuka just smiled back.
