Jack was standing on the automated walkway that connected the car entrance and the EVA pen, not thinking or saying anything. It was his other half that decided to break the silence.

Shinji: "Why did you have to scare her like that?" Jack continued to ignore Shinji and just looked forward.

Shinji: "I am talking to you goddamn it!!" It was this time that Shinji's outburst got a reaction from Jack. His blank face slowly turned into a slight frown, and after what seemed like hours, Jack spoke.

Jack: "You will not speak to me like that again, is that understood?" Jack said dangerously.

Shinji: "I will not let a figment tell me what to do! If you had not forgotten, it is still my body."

Jack: "Don't think that because I cannot see you, that I can't hurt you." It was with this that Jack closed his eyes and started concentrating on a sensation that Shinji was very familiar with, pain. Almost instantly, Shinji felt as if his mental body was on fire, it burned with intensity that could not be described. It soon ended and complete relief washed over Shinji, and that was when he got angry.

Shinji: "You son of a bitch! I'll kill you!" Jack mentally laughed at Shinji, laughed in his face.

Jack: "You don't have the gut to kill anybody, maybe that Asuka was on to something. You are just a weak, little boy." If the laughing in his face hadn't done it, the fact the Jack agreed with Asuka in calling him weak had. Jack was still laughing at Shinji when it happened, a head ache that would make even make Gendo shed a tear from the pain. Jack threw his hand up to his head in a futile attempt at alleviating some of this intense pain. In a strained voice obviously racked with pain, Jack started talking.

Jack: "What are you doing!?"

Shinji: "Taking back what is mine." Responded Shinji in a voice that was equal to Jack's in lack of emotion.

Jack: "No you won't, I won't let you!" Jack was trying to mentally punish Shinji again with the burning, but the pain in his head was too great and soon darkness took Jack into its icy grip.

It took several minuets but finally the lad with the split personality opened his eyes. The eyes that opened were a shining sapphire blue, and were full of emotion, most of all confusion. Shinji had won this battle with his other side, and managed to get his body back, at least for now. Shinji lifted himself off of the automatic sidewalk that never stopped moving. While Shinji was trying to get his bearings, a familiar voice softly, but dangerously spoke in his head.

Jack: "Give it back." The words were clear, but that didn't stop Shinji from mocking him.

Shinji: "Sorry, but the person with the body makes the rules, and that ain't you." Shinji could not help but laugh at Jack now. Jack did not see the humor in this situation.

Jack: "You will give it back, or I will take it." It was a warning that made Shinji stop laughing and become more serious.

Shinji: "Just try it. I dare you." That was all the encouragement that Jack needed to start trying to force Shinji to lose control. Shinji felt his whole body heat up once again and then when he braced himself for the pain, it never came. In his mind Shinji could hear Jack grunt and growl in frustration. Jack kept trying to take over but it was all for not. This was all Shinji could take, his murderous alter-ego was trying against success to take over and the curses that Jack was muttering, it was too much. Shinji fell over laughing and holding his sides. If that wasn't enough, he even started rolling back and forth on the automat in a very dramatic way.

Jack: "STOP THAT LAUGHING!!!" Jack thundered. It didn't seem to work as Shinji was laughing even harder at Jacks predicament.

Shinji: "Aww, what's the matter, baby wants his body back? Well, to fuckin bad!"

If it was possible to die from laughing, Shinji would have died twice over. Shinji's laughter died as he felt his right arm lift itself from his side and positioned itself out straight. Shinji was very, very, very confused as to what the hell was going on now. His arm was stretched out and then his hand formed itself into a fist, at which point it got hazy for Shinji as in a matter of seconds of forming a fist, it came flying into his face, effectively silencing him. The punch was not enough to knock Shinji out, but it let him know that fun and games were over. It was at this moment that Shinji yelled out.

Shinji: "What the hell was all that about!?"

Jack: "I told you to stop, but with people like you, you must beat it into them."

Shinji: "How did you do that?" Shinji asked in a stunned voice.

Jack: "Like I would ever tell you." Jacks response was what Shinji was kind of expecting. So he was ready to get it from Jack in the only manner that Shinji knew Jack would understand. Force.

Shinji: "Last chance, tell me."

Jack: "Never."

Shinji smiled

Shinji: "Have it your way."

Shinji closed his eyes and did what Jack did. Focusing all of his concentration on pain and it didn't take long for the desired effect.

A growl was heard as Jack was hit with the blinding pain that he himself had forced on Shinji. Jack still had enough control and concentration to make Shinji's hand repeat what it had done earlier. It was a very amusing sight as both Shinji and Jack were trading blows with one another. Shinji would mentally burn Jack, and Jack would physically punch Shinji. This continued for a few minuets as Shinji was now rolling on the ground battling with himself, and to be honest, he looked insane. If rolling on the ground punching himself didn't look crazy enough, the fact that he was no longer speaking mentally with Jack did. He was yelling curses that would put a sailor to shame. The people on the main deck were all standing there shocked as they watched what was unfolding. Shinji forgot that this particular hall had security cameras all over the place. What really disturbed them was the fact that he kept yelling over and over again, "I won't give you back my body, Jack! Never!"

Shinji was now covered in burses and his clothes were torn as he continued his one-man show. The automat had brought them all the way to the end of the line and they were now in front of a large automated door. Shinji and Jack were still fighting as the mighty door swung open and a soft voice chimed in.

???: "Shinji-Kun, what are you doing?"
