[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]

Disclaimer: No, I don't own Cain and Shido or any of the other characters from Nightwalker, no matter how much the voice in my head sounds like Guni…

Warning: As in just about all the fan fiction I write, this fic contains YAOI, or Male/Male relationships that are, as always, incredibly graphic. To me, it's art, and therefore restricting it would be not only stupid, but futile as my muse would beat me into submission and scream for me to write it anyway…

Chapter Two: Morning Bells…

The carriage ride up to Cain's castle was much more amusing, at least to the golden haired vampire. He sat down on one of the cushioned seats, and motioned for his fledglings to sit with him. Shido obediently sat beside his maker, but Ken'ichi took a seat on the floor at Cain's feet. The golden haired vampire smiled, and stroked the younger vampire's scalp through equally golden locks. He placed a small kiss to Shido's forehead, making sure that the elder child knew he was not forgotten.

As reluctant as Cain had been to bring Ken'ichi into the fold of vampirism, he had to admit that the young man had been a fine edition to their family. Shido never feared rejection or replacement with the fledgling that looked so much like his maker, and then there was the added bonus of Ken'ichi's promise holding Shido to Cain for as long as the younger fledgling decided to stay with Cain. The elder sighed as he though back to Ken'ichi creation…

Ken shook as he made his way to work the next morning. Kaitou had made thoroughly sure that Ken would not be straying any time soon, and proved his dominance through most of the night, not even allowing Ken to retreat to his bed after he was through. It shouldn't have bugged him. It'd been happening for years now. Nearly six now. Still, Ken shook the images out of his head and tried not to think about it anymore. He slipped into the darkened alleyway, and gasped as he ran into a taller man in a long coat. He nearly shouted before he figured out who it was.

"It's you. I knew you would find Tatsuhiko! You've gotta help him!" Ken begged. "You've got to help Shido!" Ken yelped as two dark hands leapt from the dark figure and reached for his neck and tried to scream as they brought him close to the figure's face. He cringed, closing his eyes.

"How do you know Shido?" a deep and thickly accented voice asked.

"He…he's being held captive! I…visit with him. But the people holding him, they're gonna…kill him!"

"As if any of your kind truly knows how to kill one of us," the dark one snorted in disgust.

"They…they'll burn him!" Ken'ichi coughed. He gasped at the crushing grip and closed his eyes…Ken'ichi fell to the ground with an ungraceful thud on his rear, and looked up to the dark one before him. Cain, the creator of Tatsuhiko Shido.

"I have all I need now."

"What?" Had the vampire been inside his mind while Ken'ichi had been too distracted? Did he know where the NOS was?

"You will lead me to your masters," Cain said before turning away from the young man, his cloak billowing out behind him. That it, before someone latched onto it.

"Please!" Ken'ichi begged as Cain turned to face him.

"What?" the blond vampire asked.

"You're going to take him, aren't you? I'll never see Tatsuhiko again, will I?" Ken'ichi spoke quietly. When no answer came, he looked up to the vampire and continued. "Take me with you!

Cain leaned down to Ken'ichi and spoke lowly. "Do you know what you ask, boy?"

"Yes."

"And what did our dear Shido say of it?"

Kenichi lowered his head. "He said that I didn't know what I was talking about. That being a vampire was horrible, and that he would never subject another willingly to it. But I've seen horror as a human! More horror than I care to admit sometimes! If people think that vampires are the monsters, then I have to argue against! We're filthy, despicable creatures who are only interested in furthering our own ambitions, even if it means sacrificing innocents to do it!"

"That," Cain smiled, "might just have been the most intelligent comment I have heard in well over a hundred years." The older vampire leaned in close to the young man, and breathed in his scent. He put a hand behind the boy's neck and let his thumb stroke over Ken's pulsing artery. "If you wish this so much, then why do you smell like fear boy?"

"H--humans always fear the unknown…and I'm still human," Ken'ichi breathed before shutting his eyes tightly.

"Open your eyes boy," Cain snapped as he latched onto Ken'ichi's hair and shook him hard. The boy wisely obeyed, and Cain's gesture became a sweet caress once more. "Fear is the first thing that you will loose, boy. But I want you to taste the sweetness of your last fear, for I shall to. What is your name, boy?"

"Ken'ichi. Kyoki Ken'ichi, sir," Ken spoke softly.

"Master," Cain growled.

"What?"

"You address me as Master, or sire, or father, for I am the one that will bear you to the darkness, and the one that shall guide you through it. The choice is yours, but choose wisely." Cain wanted to see exactly how this young man would react. Did he just want to be a follower, or did he actually believe in the bonds of a vampire?

"Please…father. My sire," Ken's eyes were riveted to Cain's, to the point of tearing when not being blinked.

Cain pulled the young man to his feet. "Do you know what it is to drink blood, Ken'ichi?"

Ken'ichi felt something wash over him when the vampire crooned his name. "No, father." Ken'ichi breathed.

"It is taking in another's soul. Drinking in their wants," he stroked Ken'ichi's artery once more, "their fears," he leaned in towards the boy and pressed his lips to his neck, "their very being." Cain kissed his neck ever so tenderly. "It's a pleasurable addiction as much as a necessary one."

"Please," Ken'ichi whispered.

"As you wish," Cain kissed the side of Ken'ichi's neck once more before thrusting his fangs into the boy's neck. The vampire pressed the boy into the alley wall as he swooned.

"Oh, God!" Ken'ichi shouted as Cain's teeth sank into him. Ecstasy rippled through his veins, and the young man barely registered being pressed against the wall. He felt Cain's knee come up between his legs and press against as growing erection, and felt the vampire's smile against his throat. He clutched as the vampire's golden mane as Cain drank deeper and bucked against him, sending another wave of overwhelming sensation washing over Ken'ichi. The boy threw his head back and arched against Cain, his rock hard erection brushing against the vampire's thigh as he squirmed against him. "Please, oh please, sire, master, father!" The words spilled over Ken'ichi's lips before he even knew what he was saying.

Cain withdrew his fangs and stared down at Ken'ichi before bringing his hand up to the boy's paling lips. He drew his head down and kissed the boy, letting him taste his own blood, his destiny, as the boy opened his mouth to him. The elder vampire grabbed a hold of Ken'ichi's hips and pressed them together, grinding against him as his fangs sank into Ken'ichi's tongue, and the vampire fed in earnest.

Ken'ichi moaned into Cain's mouth as he felt his heart weaken and slow, but Cain pulled away again. "No," Ken'ichi gasped, "please."

"Is this what you want, little one?" Cain asked as he flicked his fingers over blood stained lips. His tongue flicked out over a trickle of blood that ran down Ken'ichi's chin.

"Yes," Ken whispered.

"Then take it," Cain growled as he pierced his tongue and thrust it into Ken'ichi's mouth once more in a soul-searing kiss…

Cain looked down at the young vampire and stared into gold otherworldly eyes, then shifted to Shido's, and held his gaze. He took Shido's mouth in a deep kiss, then looked down to Ken'ichi. "Perhaps," he whispered, "you should get to know your brother better, Shido." Cain tilted Ken'ichi's chin up with a hand, and the younger vampire's eyes held a predatory gaze that Shido had never seen before. The gaze of a vampire.

Shido looked to his maker with a pleading gaze, and Cain understood. He ran a hand along the side of his creations face and sighed with a smile, but did not say a word…
