This poem I wrote in memory of my step brother who died on Septemeber 18th 2003.We got a call that moring at 5:00am to find, that...he had be killed in a car crash. He was 19 and his birthday was going o be the next month, October.Letting Something Go


“There comes a time,
When we have to let something important go.
Now is that time.
We will always remember you,
How you always made us laugh,
How you always had that goofy grin,
How in every picture you smiled that goofy grin,
How you always cheered us up when we needed it.
You were there for your younger brother when he needed you,
You lit up the room when it was dark with your jokes,
You took responsibility for all you did,
You never blamed someone else.
Looking back,
We remember all we did together,
All those times at the go-carts and fairs,
All those parties,
How they were always were fun,
When you were around.
You will always be in our hearts,
We shall miss you and pray for you.
Danny we will always remember you.”
