All That is Me, My Dreams, and My Reality
Beyond the warm, gold field of my present.
Beneath the wise, tranquil canopy of my past.
Following the wonder and uncertainty of what may come to pass.
Lying in the center on the calm that is the clearing of my innermost thoughts is the well house of my secret heart that few can ever reach.
Within this place is freedom and within that freedom is the well.
The well of my most hidden secrets, my faintest hopes, and my deepest desires.
Deep inside this well is a chest, a chest as old as I. It is beautiful. Its red cherry wood is decorated with elegant carvings on its sides, ever swirling and changing, like sand.
With a thick silver latch and gold leaf-like designs spiraling around the chest lid and the latch itself.
Inside protected by soft velvet are four items; a delicate silver pocket watch, a crisp crimson rose bud, a length less sheet of music, and a brilliant, shining, jewel that sparkles with purity.
The watch tells of my time in and on this earth.
I cannot open it.
No one can.
I will not be able to until my time is up.
The rose bud is my hope to find a boundless love ready to take root and bloom.
A sheet of music that expounds my feelings, emotions, and all that is in my heart with notes that only I can decipher.
The jewel of unknown magnificence, shining with colors unknown, unseen by the mortal eye.
Glossed with my unforeseen future, my potential.
What I can become and do.
In that place I leave them, but I dream that they find their place in my reality.
