Death's Embrace

My world is spinning
so I can't see

Your there screaming
but I can't hear

I've run so far
and yet so near

I turned and fell
into death's embrace

My world stopped
and time held still

His smell intoxicated
and I fell away

Into the nothingness
the darkness that is my soul

As I fall death's warm embrace
turns cold like ice and I realize I'm dead

Within my soul in this chase
pain and sorrow rule all

Death's warm hands relive the pain
and for the first time; I cry

I cry a sea of pain and sorrow
regret, anguish, hatred, and love

As the tears
fall away

I realize how beautiful my life was
and how sad my death is

Then I hear death's voice
with a harshness I feel in my very bones

Death says six words the make my heart start
I'll live just one more day
