Demoted
Top of the world,
Loved, wanted, got everything.
Snap your fingers,
It was there.
Smiles, laughter, fun.
Then comes tragedy......
Life gets flipped around,
change, dark, hate.
Unloved, unwanted, pushed aside.
Look around,
No one is there.
Demoted.

But the way, the tragedy causes the change in the person to cause them(me) to get "demoted". It wasn't the change that was the tragedy but a tragedy that caused the change.
Top of the world,
