Blind Epiphany:
I see your face,
As the final epiphany hits me,
Square on the chest,
Right where it hurts,
You don't care,
You never did.
I was never anything to you,
But just a passing fancy.
I see your face,
As the final epiphany hits me,
Square on the chest,
Right where it hurts,
You don't care,
You never did.
I was never anything to you,
But just a passing fancy.
I run out,
My eyes bleeding,
Shedding tears- for the broken,
For the fallen,
For me.
My eyes bleeding,
Shedding tears- for the broken,
For the fallen,
For me.
The rain feels cold,
But inside I'm colder still,
Not knowing where to go,
How to live,
The agony makes me numb,
My own conscience looks upon,
Contempt filtering my every thought.
But inside I'm colder still,
Not knowing where to go,
How to live,
The agony makes me numb,
My own conscience looks upon,
Contempt filtering my every thought.
I break down,
On the bus home,
Crying myself into the corner,
Hoping people mistake my tears for rain pellets,
Living in the cruel world,
Reality brushing away this faded dream.
On the bus home,
Crying myself into the corner,
Hoping people mistake my tears for rain pellets,
Living in the cruel world,
Reality brushing away this faded dream.
If I had just done this..
Or that…
What did I do wrong?
Was I not good enough?
Was I nothing more than a fool?
Or that…
What did I do wrong?
Was I not good enough?
Was I nothing more than a fool?
In the end,
No matter what excuses I have,
You still lied,
You still did not care enough,
To tell me the truth.
No matter what excuses I have,
You still lied,
You still did not care enough,
To tell me the truth.
