Painful Day

You look at me sitting here,

in this old ragged chair.

You close your yellow eyes,

and much to my despise.

You cry for me,

you shed your crimson tears.

You cry for me

for all my painful years.

Your painful tears.

You just close your eyes.

You just wish it all away,

tomorrow's a painful day.

I look at you sitting there,

in that new fancy chair.

I close my green eyes,

and much to your despise.

I cry for you,

I shed my aqua tears.

I cry for you,

for all your painful years.

My painful tears.

I just close my eyes.

I just wish it all away,

tomorrows a painful day.

I entwine our hands.

You kiss my cheek.

I wipe your tears.

You kiss my lips.

We walk away,

towards our new painful day.
