Original Poetry Fan Fiction ❯ Poems, poems...A small collection of them ❯ Imprisoned ( Chapter 16 )
[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
Imprisoned in a heart so weak and frail
Tempered from the venom of dark fairytales
Longing for more than romantic fantasies
Begging, pleading with love only to again be free
Never could she leave this tomb she's locked herself in
There's no relief for her from the pain of dead memories
I hear her crying her heart out once again
And her screams and sobs be her dernier cri
From this forlorn love so sad and cold
Again there's no use to free a soul
And another plea before the sleep
But a heart alone can only keep
Never finding hearts to see her pain
Her world is one of only sorrow
No one sees her tears in the dismal rain
But only head for the doors that hold the fate of tomorrow
Defined by all the blood and tears
That stains the floor beneath with all the fears
The painful death that's known as love
Is only to never be, in fantasies, a narcotic drug
But rather a feeling of bleeding scars
Glaring daggers for the burning stars
Painting never ending streaks of black
Upon the air of this cage so white
And still, never wants to go back
And depose those feelings, so trite
