Author Notes

This is a random collection of poems that I have written over the years. It's not all of them as I have lots and so I just picked out the ones I like the most. Some of them have sentimental value as they were written in loving memory of family members that passed away, others were just written out of boredom and some even for fun.

Please remember that you are not obligated to review my work, just because you have read it.

Although I would greatly appreciate any reviews, be they positive or negative. The only thing I will ask is that any reviews are made as constructive criticisms as they are the best way to help me to develop as a writer.

Gentle Breeze

What is this force that moves through the trees?

And makes their leaves move like the seas

They sway and flow

With no where to go

Is it magic that makes them shake?

That makes them dance and makes them quake

Wait what is this, its touch is soft

It's a gentle touch but it's not hot

What is this unseen force that acts so kind?

All these thoughts rush through my mind

So what is this force that moves through the trees?

Oh wait could it be just a simple gentle breeze

Dream World

I'm in a world that's like a dream, that's all calm and serine.

Then in a flurry, like a sudden flash, my world starts spinning

Will I crash?

Around and around, and upside down, my mind is spinning,

I don't know how.

Will I awake, this can't be fake, with how I feel right now.

My heart is racing, my breath is pacing, and this feeling can't be real.

I start to fall, but I cannot call, for my voice is lost

But then a hand grabs hold of mine,

And in his arms he holds me tight, with tender love and care

He brushes my cheek and then kisses me deep and now

I never want to sleep,

For if I do then I may find that this life is but a dream.

Life is a path

Which we all walk down

Life is a part

That we play in the world

Even though we die

Life still goes on

It's just that we live it

In another form

And if you hold onto

Your Memories

And if you hold onto

Your love

Then that person which

Has left you

Will always live

She is your daughter

Who are there for you

We will always love you

So when you feel alone

Rains song

Leaves rustling in the wind

Birds sinning little tunes

Whilst grey clouds fill the sky

I sit and wait patiently

The heavens open

The rain falls

The air chills

And the land cools

I wait all alone

Whilst the rain sings its song

I walk quietly

Whilst I listen to its words

I walk whilst it rains

And when it stops

I sit and wait patiently

For its next song to be sung

For all to hear

For all to watch

But only I can really hear

The true words of the rains song
