Alone in the darkness
Unafraid by sound
Gathered in light
Afraid of silence.
What has come of it?
My cries in plain sight
My happiness at night
Hidden from you
Before your very eyes.
Many before, many after
Will it end before dawn?
Will it begin before dusk?
Only I can tell
And I will tell only
To the shadows of night.
