Original Poetry Fan Fiction ❯ The Unlikely Poet's Notebook ❯ Absence ( Chapter 20 )
[ A - All Readers ]
I could say I miss you
But it would not be enough
For it always leaves me blue
And the days are always tough
Without you by my side
I feel like an shell
In my own emptiness I hide
A victim of solitary hell
This is a temporary state
Though not always a relief
Wether it be luck or fate
Our time together is too brief
What precious time we get
Seems to get stolen away
Hours at a time and yet
Gone in an instant to my dismay
Absence makes hearts fond
And this is true in most cases
Where we've established a bond
And we have our own places
Heartbeats and starlight
Moments never forgotten
When my soul took flight
At your touch; soft as cotton
Then I remember your smile
The one That brightens my day
It makes it all worth while
Although I never know what to say
Those times I spend with you
Though few and far apart
And the one's that stay true
And dearest to my heart
But it would not be enough
For it always leaves me blue
And the days are always tough
Without you by my side
I feel like an shell
In my own emptiness I hide
A victim of solitary hell
This is a temporary state
