Better Day

 

We both know

That they don't think it's right

They see me as a threat

But you know that I know why

 

From the very beginning

You said you didn't care

About the bad parts of me

But even though it isn't fair

They can only judge what they see

 

My ways hurt us so bad

And I don't want to hurt you

I'm stuck between that life

And doing what's right for you

 

But don't give up on me

Hold on for awhile

I know I can change

I can go that extra mile

 

When my world's alright again

You'll be the first to know

I'll light the past on fire

And then you'll know

 

Our happily ever after will come

We'll be together and no one

Will ever tear us apart

That'll be a better day

 

When I can finally prove my worth

And the guilt all goes away

When I've escaped this hell on earth

That'll be a better day
