Sad Water

H2O

You know, you are essential to me

Moisturizing, liquefying, hydrating and alleviating of stress

I guess I should be grateful to you, for all you do

The world I'm in, this shell I'm living in, can't functions minus you

I bathe you, drink you, sweat you, cry you

[sigh]

I cry you…

Oh, water, as much as I need you, why do I let you go?

You come in as a helper but, when I'm helpless, there you flow

You turn so sad, water, as you flow away from me

You get heavy, salty, water…a pool of melancholy

This sad water comes when I' sad, last, hurt or in fear

This sad water—I hate it—I feel weak when I shed tears

I've never associated this sad water with any good things

Because it saps my hearts' strength and bitterly stings
