Kato didn't really know why he had decided to return. It had been about ten years or so since he had last been in the town he had been born in. With a shrug, he shoved his hands in his pockets, slumped over slightly as he walked, something he had adopted after leaving, in the hope that it made him less noticeable.Glancing around the small park he was in, he gave a small laugh upon seeing a park bench. "Finally..." he muttered. " I was starting to get tired anyway." Making his way over to it, he sat down heavily to peoplewatch. The slight breeze ruffled his short and spiked blonde hair, a tanned hand coming up automatically out of habit. "Right..." he laughed nervously, "Haven't had long hair for years now..." Looking over to the entrance of the park, his eyes widened slightly at the sight of the newest person coming in. With his blue hair and deep green eyes, he was the type of person who would always inspire a doubletake. The small leather-bound notebook under his arm gave away his reason for being there. Kato's eyes widened further when the man sat next to him. Curiousity won over when the notebook was opened, and he leaned in closer for a better look. Suddenly, the book was shut loudly. Kato jumped back to a deep, defensive sounding voice saying "What are you looking at?" Well, didn't that just beat all. Even his voice was a headturner. "Your drawings. From what I managed to see, they're pretty good." The look of surprise on the other's face almost made him burst into laughter; he settled for a smirk. "You don't believe me?" Kato leaned over, snatching the book out of his hands, opening it again to take a closer look. "What the hell are you doing?! Give me back my sketchbook!" the stranger snapped, moving to take it back. He held onto one of the pages, trying to get it away from Kato when it ripped from their struggling. Kato grimaced and turned, shielding the book from more damage and continuing to carefully flip through the pages. "Give. It. Back. Now." was his only warning before he was pushed backwards over the back of the bench, the owner of the notebook on top of him and reaching for it, completely oblivious to the position they had ended up in. He smirked suggestively up at the man over him, laughing quietly. "As much as I like the idea, why aren't I the one on top?" The look of disgust on the other's face made him burst out laughing. The lack of attention and self-control caused his skin to darken. His formerly brown eyes had done the same, darkening to black, with the pupils dilating to the point that his whole eye appeared black. Gasping quietly in surprise, he grit his teeth and concentrated, features quickly returning to normal. Luckily, the whole thing had been too quick to be considered anything other than a trick of the light. The uncomfortable weight on top of him was gone; in the time it took to regain control, the stranger had gotten up and was stomping off down the path, notebook in hand. He sat up, checking himself quickly for any problems, then got up and followed. It only took two or three minutes of silent following before the man in front of him turned around. "Stop following me and go home." he growled out in irritation. Kato shrugged, hiding the slight flash of pain at the words. "Would if I had one." he muttered, glancing up to see a look of surprised sympathy. Bingo. "...Well then. Come on." He blinked, acting surprised. "What?" The question was met with a look of 'what, are you stupid?' on the man's face. "I said, come with me. You just going to stand there like an ass?" Kato widened his eyes. "Really?" The only answer he got was the other man turning abruptly and walking off. "Guess so then." he said to himself, running to catch up.
