Chapter 5


Ok so Ahou has woke up from fainting and now night is approaching. Shisuta is holding her stomach because it hurts from laughing, Ahou is talking to Otome, Aikouka is glaring at him, and Otome is talking to Ahou and glaring at Aikouka.

“Otome how do you know this idiot?” he asked with anger in his voice. Otome looked at him annoyed with his odd behavior. However before she could speak Ahou answered for her.

“I live in a neighboring village and I have been her friend since we were little!!” he said happily. Shisuta snorted.

“I can’t believe you are actually friends with a MAN.” she said in a shocked tone. Ahou looked at Otome and whispered in her ear,

“Does she have issues with men?”

“I think so..” she whispered back.

“Well you will be in for a surprise tonight.” Aikouka said.

“Oh you mean about her being a demon? I already knew about that!” he said. Aikouka and Shisuta looked in shock as they gazed at Otome.

“What he’s my friend I figured I could trust him!” she said happily.

“However I have never seen her as a demon!” he said. Suddenly as if on cue it became dark and the moon rose and Otome began to transform. Shisuta and Ahou stared in awe because they had not seen the transformation yet. At the end the both had words to say!!

“Wow that was soooo cool!!!” Shisuta said in an envious tone.

“Hmph seen it before.” Aikouka said trying to control himself.

“Umm uhhh it’s a good look for you…yeah..” Ahou said his face becoming more pink by the second. Aikouka noticed the change in his skin color.

“Hands off.” he said. Otome got angered at the possessive behavior.

“Ugh Aikouka I am not an object or your mate!” she said.

“So?” he asked. Suddenly the demons caught the scent of a demon. Suddenly this big green ugly thing with a horn came out of the woods and walked up to Otome. It licked it’s lips which freaked everyone out.

“You will become a wonderful mate!!” he said happily. Before Otome could kill it Aikouka beat her to the job. He looked angry as he usually does when a male interacts with Otome.

“What’s with these admirers of yours!!?” he asked her. Otome shrugged and responded,

“Well I get at least one every night it , sometimes more.” she answered casually.

“EVERY NIGHT!!?” he yelled. Ahou looked at Shisuta with a confused look on his face. She saw his confusion and answered his question.

“It’s her scent, female demons like me absolutely hate it ugh and male demons like Aikouka can’t help but be attracted to it, you would be too if you were a demon.” she answered.

“How do you know all this?” he asked her suspiciously.

“I’ve heard of demons and sometimes humans with a scent like that.” by now all three people were staring at Shisuta like she was an alien.

“You know every time I act smart you people stare at me like it’s a crime!!!” she yelled. The other three started whistling. Than everyone but Otome yawned.

“Jeez can’t you guys stop acting like babies!!?” she yelled.

“Well Otome we aren’t nocturnal people..” Ahou reminded her.

“Yeah and we don’t TRANSFORM into other creatures.” Aikouka also reminded her. Everyone listened for Shisuta’s responses. When they didn’t hear it they turned to find that she was already asleep on some leaves. Everyone sweat dropped and went to their sleeping places. Aikouka against a tree and Ahou flat on the ground. Otome sighed out of loneliness and stared at the stars. She was used to running all over the place at night. However she was far away from her village and besides…she had people to protect.

In the morning as the two demons and priestess were about to leave Ahou asked if he could join.

“No!” Shisuta said
“Heeeeelll no!” Aikouka yelled.

“Sure!!!” Otome replied.

“What?!” the siblings screamed. Otome glared at them and answered.

“He’s my friend and he came this far looking for me no sense in him just leaving!!” Ahou piped up at his friend allowing him to stay.

“I would never abandon Lady Otome!!” he said. Aikouka jealousy meter was slowly rising.

“Otome you act like you have feelings for him!!” he said walking towards her. Otome smirked at her new idea.

“Well maybe I do!” she said happily. Ahou blushed, and the siblings had shocked looks on their faces. Otome started to walk away. She turned around when no one was following her.

“Well are you all coming or what?” she yelled back to them. Everyone ran to catch up to her trying to shrug off what she had just said. They continued on the road they were on. Just as Shisuta was about to ask if they were even going in the right direction Otome saw something in the difference.

“Oh my gosh it’s a lake!!!” she yelled.

“So?” everyone asked. She looked at them all.

“Isn’t it obvious? It’s time for a bath!!!!” she yelled in response.

“Well I guess I could use a bath myself.” Shisuta said agreeing.

“I could too!!!” Aikouka said. Of course he was slapped by Shisuta and Otome. Ahou was beginning to wonder if he should’ve decided to go back to his village. They walked until they were on the edge of the lake. Shisuta stared at the boys.

“Ok I trust Ahou that he won’t look but there is no hope for Aikouka.” she said glaring at him. He returned her glare.

“Surely he wouldn’t look since his sister is in there!!!” she said freaked out.

“Ha you think he cares!!” she said walking towards them. Otome just stared at him like he was total scum. Shisuta grabbed both boys, pulled out rope from Otome’s stuff and tied the boys tightly to a tree away from the lake.

“Is this really necessary?” Ahou asked. Shisuta nodded and walked off. Before long they were in the water shivering.

“Iiitss cooold” Otome said.

“It’s nooot sooo baaad.” Shisuta answered.

“Soo Shisuta how old are you?”

“Hmmm about 200.…I think.” she answered. Otome looked shocked forgetting how slow demons age, which made her remember another problem. Shisuta noticed her sudden sad look and became worried.

“What’s wrong?”

“Well I remembered I have two different bodies…what happens when the human one ages and dies?” Otome said sadly.

“That really is sad…” Otome went to stand up but Shisuta suddenly jerked her back down. Otome looked at her with a questioned look. The glare said it all.

“Oh hell no!” Otome said.

“Boys you have 10 seconds to run!” Shisuta said. They obviously weren’t listening because there was no noise. Shisuta got out of the lake while covering herself making sure that no one could see anything. She stood in front of Otome so she could get dressed. After Otome was done they looked at each other.

“Get them!” they said at the same time. They ran towards to the bushes and the boys tried to run away, however Shisuta got to Ahou easily. Of course Otome was having a hard time catching up to Aikouka. Finally after chasing him into the forest she lost sight of him. She also had absolutely no idea where she was.

‘Aww man this is scary…’ she thought. Suddenly something grabbed her. She screamed as loudly as she could.

Meanwhile before the scream Shisuta forced a confession out of Ahou.

“Ok this is what happened..”

*Flash Back*

Not long after the girls left Aikouka cut the ropes that held him and walked off in the same direction the girls went.

“Hey don’t just leave me here!!!” Ahou said.

“You can’t be trusted!” and Aikouka walked off. Using Aikouka’s already cut rope he found a way to get free of the ropes. He soon found Aikouka hiding behind some bushes. He hid with him refusing to look. Until he heard their sad conversation. Even Aikouka had an indescribable look on his face. Than of course their presence was discovered.

*End Flash Back*

“Indescribable huh?” she asked him. Before they could continue they heard Otome’s scream. They both took off running in her direction. Everyone’s last thoughts before who grabbed Otome is discovered?

‘I can’t see who has me…I can’t breathe either….’

‘Oh shit!!! I leave her alone and already she’s in trouble, well I had better save her.’

‘I must save her!! She’s the closest thing to a friend I have ever had!!’

“Noooo Lady Otome I won’t let you be harmed!!’
