A/N: Well I'm back at it people. Another saga in the works maybe. It all depends on how well you guys like it so please read and review. I'd like to give a big thanks to my friend E-quahlo who helped me with the developement of the original characters as well co-wrote this story with me. You are the best! This was originally an rp so if it seem like it is then you'll know why. I'm not trying to win awards here just simply entertain as much as I can. I just hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

"Tssss...girl..." a low whisper sounded from somewhere above Akemi as she walked along no path in particular.
An acorn came sailing along and popped her sharply on top of the head.
"Hey...girl...get me down from here....hey!" went another sharp whisper from above her, and a strange creaking sound in the trees.

Finally the ropes of the cage could be seen, and the man caught in it, suspended high and out of reach of anything but the acorns that fell into it. His royal blue eyes were glowing brightly through the black hair that hung over his almost scary face. He was a strange full blood youkai. Captured for torture, as it would seem he had been for at least a few weeks. He was confined with nothing but rope tied around his body, his skin dark currently furry. One ear that of a black wolf and the other that of a panther. They flickered violently and he shook his head irritably. He had one arm free, the other pulled out of the bars tied to another cable which if someone had loosed the cage, would be torn off. The other he could reach the floor with but his claws were cut, and his fingers bound together so that he couldn't work with them. But he could throw an acorn and that he did, plunking Akemi in the head again.

"Get me down from here, Kami!" he raised his voice finally and shook the cage getting more irritated. Akemi looked up into the trees, seeing the demon trapped inside the suspended cage.
"Why should I help you? It's not like you would help me if I was up there" Akemi glared rubbing her head and was tempted to keep walking away but stopped for him to respond.

Jinsei looked at her, "You don't know that of me girl. Do you not see what the wolves have done to me and why? I am a half breed...Ookami and kurohyou. What a lovely combo for anyone to loath. You might as well throw things at me; stab me with whatever like all the rest. If you don't wish to help me, then don't, but don't stand and stare at me."

With that he threw another acorn at her, popping her on her arm right on a golden band that was wrapped around it. He had good aim. Jin didn't want to hurt her by beaming her on the forehead where he first thought to. He turned his head feeling angry, his wolf and panther ears pinning back slightly.
"Better run little girl, I imagine they'll be back pretty soon. They like to mess with me at dusk."

Akemi grabbed her arm where he hit her. "You don't have to keep throwing those stupid acorns at me." 'He's only half demon...like me' Akemi thought as she got closer, jumping up to the tree branch to get a better look at him. "I don't mean you any harm. I'm just very careful with whom I trust. I have been attacked myself quite a few times. I didn't know that you were a hanyou like me" Akemi examined the cage trying to figure out the best way to get him out.
Jinsei cocked his head, "I'm full youkai but a mix blood. My mother and father must have been blind, only seeing black fur, went at it like animals, then woke up in the sunlight the next day and found out it was wolf and panther instead of one or the other" he smiled almost evilly "and psshh.." the sound was that of disgust with his parents "My father beat my mother and left her to die. She became pregnant with me and when I was born this way...she tried to drown me, but...I don't die that easily. Later she sold me. But only after she let me know day after day how much she hated me" his eyes were upon her, seeing her closer allowed him to realize just how beautiful she was. "My arm first..then drop the cage. Simple...it should break apart if it drops from here, don't you think?" he asked. His skin was pocked with bloody scabs, as he had been poked and prodded by sharp tools or sticks through the bars. His body was covered with rope burns as well; the rope barely covering his parts. He was nude beneath. His long black hair in quite a state. "As for the acorns...I'm sorry" he said and looked away again as if it were hard for him to admit he was wrong.
Akemi had never met a youkai before that was a half breed...of two different youkai. She wasn't sure what she should do. He didn't seem to be disgusted by her and asked for her help. Any other youkai would have probably rather die than ask for her assistance. Akemi looked into his eyes. His royal blue pools shimmering like the ocean on a sunny day. There was something about his eyes that made her feel comfortable. And his story about his parents reminded her of her own cruel childhood.

"I'm sorry to hear that...about your childhood. No one should be treated that way. And don't worry about the acorns. How else would you have gotten my attention? Besides, I don't think you did any real damage to my brain" she joked as she started to untie his hand, trying to make light of the situation as she freed his arm. She looked him over again accessing the damage to his body. "Now, are you sure you want me to drop this thing? Are you really ok enough for me to do that? I mean I think I can cut the bars and get you out without hurting you even more" Akemi suggested.

Jinsei smiled softly, "Drop me. Once I'm free and away from here I'll be fine. I'm a youkai, I heal faster than ningen. But then you knew that, didn't you? Besides, cutting me out of here may take too long and I know those Ookami Youkai will be here at dusk. It's bad enough if they have me, but you? That would be..." he didn't have to finish. Akemi knew what the wolves would do to her if they caught her. A neko hanyou trying to free their captured fun? They would capture her and have their way with her until she died. "Drop me quickly and we'll get out of here" he said as he looked into her eyes.
Akemi nodded in agreement and jumped up to the top of the cage to cut the rope it was suspended by. She bared her claws and with a quick flick of her hand, the cage went down crashing to the ground, Akemi falling down after it safely landing on all fours before leaping up to make sure that Jinsei was ok. "Are you alright?" She asked as he stood among the wreckage. She was amazed that he was still standing after that fall.
Jin looked at Akemi, "Do you have some cloth I can sort of...cover with?" he asked quickly. The ropes around him were going a bit lax, revealing more of his body than should have been allowed. He held his hand against it to keep it in place around his privates, his face turning slightly red. He moved a bit and the cage dragged with him. He looked around, dropped the rope allowing it to unravel and fall around his feet before jumping unceremoniously into a nearby bush. "Pardon me." he said as he ducked out of sight to relieve himself grumbling about how embarrassing it was. He came back into view and took the cloth she offered and covered the best he could. "Thank you, now...let's get going" he said coming out of hiding, looking as if he had a mini skirt on. His black panther tail slashing about angrily.
Akemi blushed slightly as she noticed his tail, which in turn made her realize he was in nothing more than the piece of cloth she offered. Even with his cuts and bruises he was quite pleasing to the eye. The traveling and defending himself had done wonders for him, admiring his tone chest and his ripped abs. Akemi blinked a few times bringing herself from her dazed state. "Um yeah...we better get outta here?" Akemi agreed and ran off into the woods with Jin.

After running for quite a distance Jin stopped dead in his tracks. "I think...there's a spring near here, and after a few weeks in a cage I could really use a bath. Is that okay?" he asked looking at Akemi as if she had done the asking. He pointed his finger to his left, his muscled arm straight out. He did have quite a lot of filth on him. "I'm hungry too. Maybe we can find a township somewhere and steal something to eat...and some clothes" he said as he stepped in the direction of the hot spring. His black tail wrapped around Akemi's wrist as if it were second nature and pulled her along gently. "You never did tell me your name. My name's Jinsei" he shrugged, "You can call me Jin if you like." Soon they came into view of the hot spring, but he turned to face her first waiting for anything she might say.

"Jinsei..." Akemi said softly. "Oh I'm sorry my name is Akemi" she looked down at the ground blushed a bit at the way she said his name. She looked at him and noticed that he could definitely use a bath. The thought of him naked in the spring made her blush even more. "I guess it would be a good idea to get cleaned up. I know a place...an abandoned town not too far from here. There isn't really any much food...some rice and a few herbs and vegetables, but mostly supplies. We could hunt for more food on the way there after we get cleaned up" she suggested.

Jin smiled slightly, a crooked grin that made him look almost evil. He felt a little foolish in that tiny bit of cloth which barely covered him. He worried a little if he got the slightest bit aroused that he'd just burst right out of it. He tried to keep himself from thinking so much about Akemi's long legs, her slender waist, her hips, her full breasts "Mmm..." he moaned lightly before moving to a tree and using it as a scratching post trying to sharpen his claws. "Sounds good..." he said a little out of breath. He was already there and he knew it. He blushed and moved for the water, taking off his mini cloth before plunging into the water quickly. "Hot hot hot!" he yelped and turned to look up at her again. "You...coming in too?" he asked feeling embarrassed. He tried to keep his back to her as he took off that cloth, so maybe she didn't know he had it bad for her already. He cringed and turned his back to her, showing her the kanji that was tattooed across his back and the dragons on his arms.
Akemi had to admit that she too could use a bath. But the thought of her being nude in front of him made her uneasy. It was bad enough that he was doing things to her that he had no clue he was doing just by being there. Then she remembered the bathing suit Kagome had given her in her pack. 'Good thing I didn't forget to pack that' she thought as she took the backpack off to find the suit. She didn't think she would ever need it again since she left the gang and was alone. Akemi never expected to be bathing with another man this soon. She never remembered being this drawn to Inuyasha. There was definitely something about Jinsei. "Yeah...just let me change" she said taking the bag with her behind a rock putting on the two piece bathing suit. She came from behind the rock; Jinsei still turned the other way not even noticing her in the water until he heard her splash slightly as she entered the water with her soap and puff thanks to the supplies that she had taken with her. "I have soap if you want" Akemi offered keeping her distance from the naked Jinsei in the middle of the hot spring.
"Soap..." he said and swallowed hard. "Yeah, thanks" he didn't want to get too close as he turned to her in the water; his eyes grew a little wider. "You...have water clothes?" he stammered. He blinked at the suit she had on, though it covered her skin, it didn't leave a lot to the imagination. If the water wasn't already hot, it would have been boiling just around Jinsei right now. He didn't lift from the water; he knew she'd see 'it'. His face went 10 shades of red as he sudsed up his hands and let the soap float back to her. He put it in his hair and backed away until his back hit a rock. He blinked at her, as his mouth began to water. He tried to look away, at the scenery around them but his eyes kept falling back on her. Finally he ducked his head cursing himself beneath the water. He wasn't going to get rid of his 'problem' this way. He could feel himself throbbing with want. 'Good grief Jin...you pervert!' he reprimanded himself before coming back to the surface looking across the water at her breasts and her hair as it floated on the surface of the water.
Akemi forgot that Jinsei probably wouldn't be familiar with her bathing suit...after all it's something that Kagome brought back from her time. "It's called a bathing suit" she giggled. Akemi figured she would explain more later...along with the other supplies she had back at the abandoned village. As the soap glided over to her she couldn't help but admire the way the water glistened on Jinsei's tone chest. He looked at her and she quickly looked away not wanting to be caught staring at him, but she couldn't help it...she'd never seen anyone quite as beautiful as him. She sighed realizing that he probably didn't even see her the way she saw him. Akemi then picked up the soap from the top of the water and began to lather up, washing her body slowly.
Jinsei gasped when he saw her soaping up and began to cough because when he resurfaced, he was only allowing his nose above the water as he gazed at her. He turned around against the rock as he got the water from his lungs, then turned embarrassed to look at her. "I-I like it." he said suddenly dumbstruck. "I mean, I like the clothes" he stuttered slightly. He made his way back toward her, though his eyes never left the parts of her body she was washing with her hands. He groaned a little as he took a wash cloth she had apparently gotten for him, and he lathered it up. He blinked at her again, his eyes seemed to glass over slightly as he stared. "Soft..." he said out of nowhere and his face went quite red as he broke himself out of the trance. "Kami..." he added and moved away as he scrubbed his face, arms, neck, and chest with a vengeance. He moved behind the rock to clean his other parts and stood up completely, peering over the rock at her. "I..." he said 'have a problem and I'm going to fix it, so don't come over here' he thought to himself angrily, but he slowly slid down the rock. "Never mind..." he said, his voice echoing over the water to her ears. He grasped his manhood beneath the water and nearly sank into oblivion at what he was about to do with her only about 4 yards away on the other side of the rock. But he knew if he didn't do it, it would be painfully obvious to her when he put that small bit of fabric back over himself. Jin's ears flicked to hear her still behind the rock as he stroked his heated flesh and thought of her soapy body against his. "Mmmm..." he moaned as he let his eyes fall closed. He almost sank deeper into the water, but he would have drowned himself, so he stayed against the rock. Jin imagined her body before him; slick and wanting "Oh Kami..." he said, his voice bubbling as his lips were just below the surface of the water.
As Akemi continued to wash up, she heard him speak and then stop. She sighed as she wished that he needed help of any kind... just to venture over on the other side of that rock. 'Akemi get a hold of yourself you hentai,' she thought as she imagined what he looked like on the other side of that boulder. Dripping wet as the steam of the hot spring cascade around his naked body. Akemi purred softly as she began to rinse herself off, before lathering up her hair and dunking herself underneath the water to rinse her hair. Her purplish locks now slicked down her back as she came back up looking over at the rock that Jinsei was behind. 'He probably doesn't even see me that way. I'm just some filthy hanyou that nobody wants. If he hadn't needed my help he would have never gave me a second thought' Akemi relaxed against a rock in the spring letting the water come up to her chin as she sighed. Suddenly she could swear that she heard Jinsei saying something. "Jin...did you say something? Is everything ok?" her attention on the youkai behind the boulder.
Jin nearly jumped out of his skin "Oh..." he panted slightly as he leaned against the rock "Y-Yeah...it's okay A-kemi..." he closed his eyes knowing she was even closer now. He couldn't move; he just leaned against the rock. He closed his eyes for a moment, "I'm sorry...I...just got a little...turned on and..." his face got so hot he could have melted an ice glacier with it. Sometimes Jin's mouth just had a mind of its own. He grimaced and expected her to move away quickly, leaving him all together for his perversions.
Akemi was shocked at his confession. 'He was turned on...by me?' Akemi thought as she got closer standing on the other side of the rock not really knowing what to say next. She blushed bright red as she realized what he might be doing on the other side of the boulder. "Um...I turn you...I mean you like me...that way?" Akemi asked leaning on the other side of the boulder.
Jin's eyes opened as he glanced around, "Why wouldn't I? You're damn sexy. Long legs, shapely hips, grabbable tail, curvy waist...beautiful...everything" he trailed off as he was working himself up again. "I'm a man...Akemi, believe me, men would have a hard time not wanting you."

Akemi couldn't help but grin and blush at Jin's statement. He's the only person who had ever expressed how beautiful she was. That she was desired. She fought everything within herself from making her way over to Jin and having her way with him. She just met him. She didn't want him to think less of her. That she wanted every attractive person she saw. "Well you're the first person to ever tell me so. You're not so bad yourself you know" she covered her mouth slightly with her hand not believing that she actually admitted that to him. 'Way to go Akemi...why did you open your big mouth?' she thought as she sank down in the water more.

Jin chuckled lightly, "I am that bad. No one wants a mix breed... nothing...matches on me. And...I change. People want me dead after a while" he said softly as he leaned against the warm stone. He stood up again and peered over the stone barely seeing the top of her pinkish purple hair. He licked his lips, "I usually scare people away." Jin's problem wasn't gone at all, but he was learning about Akemi. He smiled when he saw her ears twitching. "Being a hanyou...isn't that bad is it?" he asked softly, his bright blue eyes searching to see if she would turn to look up at him.

Akemi frowned, "There is nothing wrong with you as far as I'm concerned. You're beautiful to me. I like that you're unique" Akemi slid up and peered over the stone only to be staring into his mesmerizing royal blues. She had never seen a blue quite like that before. "Not to mention how beautiful your eyes are" she said softly. "And being hanyou is just as bad. I'm not human and I'm not youkai...I'm in between and not accepted by either. It's rare to find someone who likes me the way I am" she said still staring into his eyes.

"It's a lot like me then. I'm neither cat nor wolf. But...you've accepted me and...I definitely accept you" he said, cocking a grin at her. He moved more over the rock and pressed his lips to hers before he slid back down, splashing into the water. "Sorry..." he said embarrassedly "I still...have this problem. I'll deal with it. I just didn't want you thinking I was some kind of...sick...puppy cat" he had to laugh at himself for his words, though when other people said it; it was meant as a cruelty. He was embarrassed pretty badly now. Akemi knew very well what he was doing. He'd almost wished she'd want to watch him, if not touch him. The thought gave him a quick jolt of pleasure through his loins. "I'm just going to move over into the deeper water back here" he said softly.

Akemi slid down the smooth rock back into the water. She held her mouth where his warm lips last met hers. Akemi wanted so badly to help him with his 'problem' but she was a little embarrassed herself and didn't want him to think she mated with everyone she met. But how her imagination was just the opposite of her reasoning as she got images in her head of her and Jin. Akemi shook her head trying to clear her explicit thoughts as she made her way across the hot spring and out to change into her clothing again.

Jin heard Akemi splash away quietly before he looked around, he didn't want to be seen, there were high reeds and brush around this side of the hot spring, so he sank down and closed his eyes, imagining Akemi in compromising positions, bending over mainly. He moved slowly back to the rock and leaned his forehead against it, "Akemi..." he whispered as he fisted himself beneath the warm water. He could see her so clearly; her long beautiful hair cascading down her back, falling over her shoulders and sides as he pumped into her. He could almost feel the skin of her hips and tush. "Oh Kami..." he moaned as the tingling in his groin began. Jin was trying to keep his voice down, but soon "Akemi...I'm cumming..." he gasped as he fell further forward, putting his weight on the side of the rock as he released into the water. He screwed up his face in a tight grimace until the feeling passed, and he realized that he'd said that fairly loudly, sending it echoing over the water right to Akemi's cute little feline ears. He dropped his head in disgrace before moving for the near by bramble filled shore and taking up a whole bunch of leaves to cover himself with, tipping almost an entire bush up to make his way over to get his loin cloth again. He couldn't even look at Akemi. Jin disappeared on the other side of the tree and used it as a scratching post once more, cursing himself. "Stupid mix breed, sicko...baka...can't even control...gah...baka hentai..." *scratch, scratch, claw, claw* deep crevices into the tree before he was through.

Akemi couldn't believe that someone wanted her the way that Jinsei expressed only moments ago. She blushed as she realized that she wanted him just as much, but then again she wasn't sure if that was all there was between them was lust for each other. They had only met a few hours ago and she couldn't stop thinking about the things she wanted to do with him and to him. But more than anything, she didn't want to complicate this with want when what she needed was a friend. Her ears twitched as she heard Jinsei on the other side of the tree saying terrible things about himself. 'How could he think such things about himself. I want him just as much as he wants me. He isn't a stupid half breed' Akemi frowned as she made her way to the other side of the tree. "Jin, stop saying that. You're not a hentai and you're not a stupid half breed. You're just a male and I'm a female. Don't be ashamed of how you feel...I feel it too...but I...I mean I just don't..." Akemi stumbled on her words trying to express her feeling clearly.

Jin's royal blue eyes lit on Akemi as soon as she approached, his ears flickered and he was intent on watching her lips as she spoke. He moved to her quickly, taking her in his arms, and instantly pressed his lips to hers to kiss her tenderly, allowing his lips to linger for a moment, and again a peck, and another lingering. His eyes falling closed as he held her there. Jin's arms were wrapped solidly around her small form, his hands spread wide to touch as much of her as he could. When he broke the kiss, he opened his eyes again to look directly into hers. "You say these things to me...yet you don't grasp them for yourself. Akemi, you are perfect, kind, and desirable. The time may be wrong...now for us, but when it's right...I want to let you see how much you already mean to me."

Akemi was totally stunned by the kiss, the way she melted into his lips relaxing in his touch. It felt natural like breathing the air. When she opened her eyes again looking into his...hanging on his every word, she realized that there may be more than just physical attraction between them. It sounded as though Jinsei truly cared for her and no one had ever cared for her before...not in that way. She smiled and nodded as he held her close to him, just wanting to stay like that a little longer. "I think we should get going now...I want to make it to the village before it gets dark" Akemi took Jin's hand leading him in the direction of the village.
Jin was reluctant to let her out of his arms, but slid his hand down her arm and grasping the smaller part. He had sharpened his claws up nicely on the tree, so if anything happened on their way to the abandoned village, he would most definitely be able to fight. He chuckled lightly, "I definitely need proper clothes. Can you imagine me fighting with this little cloth on?" he thought about it again and smiled widely. "Of course, it might be an asset. Someone may see this and laugh so hard they couldn't fight at all" he raised his hand without thinking and held a branch away so that it wouldn't strike Akemi's face. He looked about constantly at his surroundings, cocking his head from time to time listening for sounds that didn't belong. "I need to sneak back to that wolf camp too and get my weapons back." he shook his head. "It makes me mad thinking some dumb-ass is messing with my whip and dagger."
"I doubt that anyone would be laughing at you, but you would definitely distract them" Akemi giggled looking down at the cloth covering him blushing a bit. "And don't worry about your weapons...I'm sure we will get them back. I left my sword at the village. I've kinda been staying there for a while so I made it my temporary home" Akemi smiled at the way his attention was focused on protecting her...listening out for danger and moving things out of her way. "It isn't very much further" she said as they continued.

Finally they reached a very small village tucked away deep into the forest. There were only a few huts and a garden behind the biggest one that looked as though it had been tended to recently. "Well this is it" Akemi stopped letting Jinsei get a look at his surroundings. "I stay there, in the biggest one..." she pointed "that one was the only one still all the way in tact. The others must have been damaged during a fight of some kind" she said as she led him up to the door leading him inside.
It was suitable for living. There was an area for cleaning and cooking the food as well as a futon in the corner of the room for sleeping. In the other corner was a wooden cabinet for her supplies...most she had taken with her from her time with Inuyasha and Kagome. In the middle of the room there was a fire pit for keeping the place warm and cooking. "I guess we will have to go back out and hunt for some food...I have rice but we will need some meat as well. Oh, I almost forgot...there is more suitable clothing in that chest" she said pointing to the large wooden chest next to the cabinet.
Jin looked around before going to the chest and pulling out a pair of hakama. "What do you need these for?" he smiled and pulled them on not worrying about underwear. He tied them and then pulled the small bit of fabric off and put it down in his pocket for safe keeping. "I've never...lived in a hut before. I've always been out in the forest living in fallen trees or on the ground somewhere" he chuckled a little and touched the futon with the pads of his fingers. He took a deep breath and then moved back for the door. "I'll go hunting. It won't take long. I thought I smelled a deer a while ago. Do you have a knife I can use?" he asked softly. He needed it to cut the meat from the deer once he'd killed it. "If you don't, it's okay" he added as he watched her, his eyes hardly ever strayed for long.
"Well I've been in many different places. Outdoors...indoors, especially when I was traveling with my friends. But I had to leave and now I'm on my own" Akemi sighed quickly changing the subject. "Sure I have a knife...but you don't have to go hunting alone. I would go with you" she said as she searched the cabinet for the knife, walking over and handing it to him.
"You 'were' on your own" Jinsei corrected with a crooked smile. "You've got me now" he smiled and leaned to kiss her gently, with a soft stroke over her arm with his free hand. He grinned again when he backed away, "Ahh...it's okay. I'll have the meat ready to cook when I get back. All you need to do is gather up the herbs from your garden back there, and maybe a vegetable with that rice. Maybe I'll build us a smoke house out here too so we can keep some meat. See? I'm already feeling a little domesticated" he laughed lightly and kissed her again before heading out the door.
Akemi smiled blushing slightly. 'He's right... I'm not alone anymore' Akemi smiled even more. "I better go and get the other food ready" Akemi said softly to herself as she went out back to the garden to gather some herbs and some potatoes. She couldn't stop smiling as she got what she needed out of the garden and went back into the hut. Akemi never felt so at home before and it made her happy...really happy for the first time in her life. She hummed to herself as she continued preparing the food waiting for Jin to come back with the meat.
Jin came back through the door with two deer steaks in hand. "I packed the other meat away. I found some stuff to wrap it with in the other hut. That's where I'll build the smoke house" he smiled and sniffed the air. He handed the steaks to her and smiled. "At least these won't take long to cook. Sorry, I'm not much of a cook or I'd help" he said softly then went to wash his hands again. He looked around the room at the small low to the ground table that she had set while he was gone. Jin smiled softly again and went to her, "I feel...almost as if...we're married" his smile grew. He looked at her beautiful face and noticed how her eyes had changed. They were brighter now.
"Yeah...I guess it does seem that way" Akemi smiled at the idea of her and Jin actually being together that way. "And don't worry about helping me cook...I love cooking and it's nice to be able to cook for more than just myself" she replied as she cooked the steaks. "It will only be a little while longer."
"Mmm..." Jin sniffed the air as he wandered around the small hut to have a better look around, but his eyes kept straying to Akemi. "I've never had a home cooked meal, maybe stolen it before though" he chuckled as he lowered himself down on the edge of the futon. When he came to think of it he'd never slept on a bed before either. Jin smiled a bit and then looked up, allowing his ears to fall a little in relaxation. "You spoke of 'friends' earlier; where are they now? Why'd you leave the pack?" he asked trying to learn a little more about Akemi's life.
"Yes..." Akemi looked up at him from were she was cooking dinner "my friends...they actually found me. I was almost dead...barely clinging to life. They took me in and nursed me back to health and then asked me to join them. I was so happy to be accepted for the first time in my life. Not only that, I had met someone like me...a hanyou. We had a lot in common. He trained me and taught me to hunt properly. He was like my best friend" Akemi said before her expression changed. "But things got complicated and I had no choice but to leave the people I had grown to love. It was for the best" she said her expression changing yet again. She looked at Jin as he watched her intently as she spoke.
Jin swallowed and looked down for a moment. "Are..." he cleared his throat a little, "Were you...in love with this hanyou?" he asked softly before raising his eyes back up to her. He wasn't quite sure how to feel about that, not sure he wanted to hear the answer. He blinked and shook his head, biting the inside of his cheek out of nerves. "They saved you...I'm grateful for that" he changed the subject "What happened?" he asked as he rubbed his hands over his thighs as if to warm them as he sat looking at her. He wasn't used to this feeling that hearing about this hanyou gave him, was it jealousy? Whatever it was made him nervous and made his throat tighten a bit. Before Akemi had finished her words, Jin was up and close to her. He put his hands gently on her elbows to turn her to him and immediately hugged her tight, stroking her beautiful hair. "I-I'm sorry Akemi. If I could...push back time somehow. I would kill every last one of them. And if I find them..." a low growl emanated deep from within his chest, but as he tilted his head to breathe her in, turning into a soothing purr. "I won't let anything even remotely like that happen to you ever again." He had heard the name 'InuYasha' somewhere before, but it didn't matter to him now. His jealousy was gone, replaced by a deep seated protectiveness for Akemi. For maybe the first time in his life he wasn't thinking of himself, but of someone he cared for and...loved. Jin's heart pounded so hard he thought it would leap up his throat. He stretched his hand out to cradle the back of her head and hugged her completely, even tighter than before, but gently so he wouldn't hurt her. "Akemi..." he whispered but didn't utter another word after.
"Jinsei..." Akemi whispered softly as she calmed down and her tears subsided as she relaxed into Jin's embrace. She rested her head on his chest taking in his scent. Never had she been so comfortable with anyone before and they had just met that day. Akemi felt like she knew him all her life. Never had anyone expressed how much they cared for her the way that he had. She knew without any doubt that what Jin said was the truth and that he really meant every word he said. You should eat...I don't know what they gave you to eat when they had you, but I'm sure it wasn't much" Akemi led Jin over to the table to sit.
"Grubs, worms, bugs...mucky water...once a day if I was lucky" he said softly as he reluctantly let her go and sat at the low table. "It's not the first time I've been in a cage though" he said with a shrug. "I tried to help a child once, but it turned out to be a trick to lure me. A village near Kyoto...they kept me for months, treating me like a caged animal, beat me through the bars, stabbed me, defecated on me, threw rotten meat to me, raw eggs...whatever. I got weak, but so angry it kept me going long enough that one villager got too close and...I used threats to get free" he spoke in shame keeping his head and eyes low. "That was years ago though, I'm a lot stronger and...not as naive about people as I was then."
Akemi thought she had it bad but it didn't quite compare to how horrible Jinsei was treated. That's all behind you now. As long as we stick together, we'll be ok" Akemi smiled at him.
Jin's eyes flowed over Akemi's sweet face as she held his chin. He put his hand on the small table to lift up and over the food she had set there and pressed his lips to hers gently, nipping her bottom lip slightly and then soothing it with his tongue and then sucked on it to make it better. He kissed her again then sat back in his place looking at her. "I know you would never do a thing like that. And though we don't like to believe it, both humans and youkai can be just alike. Neko...did those horrible things to you. They violated you. Humans just tortured me, and then the wolves. But...now I think that had to happen for me to meet you. I had to be there right then. And you had to be there, too." In the hours that he had been freed his skin had already accelerated healing, and he had sharpened his claws to perfection. "That was a small price to pay for me...to reach such a destiny."
Akemi nodded in agreement still a bit dazed from the kiss Jin had given her. "Now you should eat...your food will get cold if you don't" she smiled and blushed as she sat comfortably in her spot at the table across from Jin. As they ate she couldn't help but casually glance up at Jin. His raven locks fell down over his face, hiding it a bit...making him look mysterious and mischievous. He notice Akemi watching him and gave her a cocky smirk.
Jin's eyes were half lidded as he looked at her, bedroom eyes. He raised his fork to his lips after cutting a piece of meat for himself and popped it into his mouth. It was the only time that his eyes wandered from Akemi, because he closed his eyes enjoying the taste and 'mmm'ed swaying slightly. "Oh, that tastes so delicious" he said after he chewed and swallowed. Jin opened his eyes again and looked at her with the same half lidded eyes and sighed, "Thank you so much." His eyes wandered over her slightly, taking in the parts of her he could see that weren't hidden by the table. He laughed a little and turned around with his back to her and sat on the floor Indian style, "there" he said and let her see him cover his eyes with his hands for a little extra security. He was chuckling deeply, an almost evil sound, that if she didn't know him, would have made the tiny hairs on her arms stand on end. In his mind he was seeing her undressing, and slipping on the pink night gown. Only it was a bit more revealing than the one she actually had. He felt his stomach flip flop and tried to force the vision of her body out of his mind before he got to heated again. He'd hate to have to leave the hut to head for that hot spring again.
Akemi smirked at Jin's little joke. "Very funny..." Once he was sitting and facing the other way she took off the swim clothes and cloth and slipped the silky gown over her head coming down to her ankles. It was long but the thin straps that held it up kept slipping down on her arm. "Ok you can turn around now" she giggled.
Jin smiled and let his hands fall from his eyes before sliding himself around on his bum, his tail wagging slightly behind him. He swallowed when he looked at her, blinking as his royal blues ran from her feet all the way up the silky gown to the spaghetti strap that slipped from her shoulder and down her darkly tanned arm. "I...didn't mark you, but my scent...you're covered in it" he smiled almost evilly. He dared anyone ever to question who she belonged to. "My mate...my life" he said and pulled her close into his embrace, stroking her down her back and then down her tail. He began to purr deeply and rather loudly.
Akemi sighed contently "Mmmm...I love the sound of that. I'm your mate and you are mine" she closed her eyes and began to purr softly as she slowly drifted off to sleep being lulled by the gentle and loving touches she was receiving from Jin.
Jin stayed awake for only just a bit longer as he lay beneath her holding her, caressing her gently. He grinned to himself thinking of how much his life had changed in just one day and looked forward to even more now that he had a future with Akemi to live for. With those thoughts in his head, he finally closed his eyes and fell asleep, still purring.
