Anne walked amongst the streeths of London, kids scattering here and there, buckets filled with candy. Laughter and whispers in the night air. She inhaled the night and smiled. Twirling and lifting her arms to the sky. It was the same as any other night, but on Halloween, it was different somehow. This was more her style. No comments on the soft glow of her flawless skin, her eyes. Just everything about her.

"Mommy. Pretty." She heard the little girl and turned, seeing the little girl and her mother. Anne smiled, letting the tips of her fangs show. She even affected children. She could do much more if she choose. She winked at them and smiled before vanishing.

Human eyes glowering, stared at the figure of the woman. She was so damn fine. "Too bad shes a blood sucking..." He muttered. He was sure this one was a vampire. People called him crazy because he actually believed They were out there. Some of the humans deserved to die. Some of these humans were filthy creatures, trying to be vampires. He didn't mind killing them. He liked what he did. This one was a real vampire, he new it. Her beauty was unreal. The way she moved, the way she spoke. Maybe if he subdued her he could have a little fun...No. She was a blood sucking fiend. Bad. "Nice." He blew out a puff of smoke. Maybe.

Anne moved away from the limp figure before her. Her hunger sated. Her lips delicatly flushed. Her tongue swept the glissening red from her lips. A shot rang out then, whizzing past her cheek and her lips curled in a smile/snarl. The smile for anticipation and the snarl for, Who the hell would be shooting at her? Did they WANT to die?

She turned her head and looked into the shadows behind her. Everything happened as if in slow motion before her eyes. She heard the click of the gun. The sound of the bullet moving through the chamber. Saw the fire that pooled around the mouth of the gun, shooting out after the bullet, all invisible to the human eye. The air of the bullet and the bullet itself whizzed past her ear this time.

"Mmmm." She back flipped out of the way as another shot rang out. Some foolish kids? No. No kids would be so accomplished at aiming precisly. "Catch me if you can." She called out with laughter into the darkness, jumping into the air and hearing the muttered "Hell yea!"

Her feet touched the edge of a tall building as she landed on her haunchs, staring down at the darkned streets below. Anne could hear his heavy breathing. The fast beating of his heart and each drop of sweat that fell as he rushed up the long tower of stairs. Her eyebrows rose. Was he so desperate to kill her? What honor had she done to recieve such treatment? She turned to face him as he burst through the door behind her.

"Got.." He wheezed, coughing from the long rush up the stairs. "Got..you..." He aimed the gun but instead of the gun firing off, she felt the sting of an arrow flying past her, just missing her. Luckily she had moved. Blood trickled down her cheek as she lifted her left hand and felt the scratch. She brought her fingers to her lips and licked the blood away. "A hunter? Vampire hunter?" It had been centries since she had encountered one. She hadn't even thought they existed anymore, in this day and age. "You betch'a babe." He fired again with both weapons. She jumped onto the floor of the balcony, landing low and spinning, reaching up with her right hand.

Her fingers encircled the flying arrow that had been headed toward her. The instant her fingers touched it, she felt it burn her flesh. With a gasp she threw it aside and looked at her burnt hand and lifted her gaze to his. "Im not telling you what it is, babe." He smiled and ran forward.

"I didn't ask you what it was." Anne replied, jumping backward, feeling the air caress her as she lept off the building. "Seems my night isn't going to be so boring after all." She called to him, laughing at his reply.

"Your trying to make a fool of me?!" She led him into the park, surrounded by trees, where no one could see them. He followed her like a love sick puppy, or a man gone mad. Anne circled the man, hissing at him, as he thought a vampire would do. "You're going to run out of your toys sooner or later."

"Oh, I have plenty of ammo to beat you with babe." She heard the provocative note in his voice and appeared before him, the finger of her right hand on his bottom lip, touching the inner part slightly. "Oh, I am sure you do." She mumured.

"Oh, a tease are you?" He snarled and aimed the arrow at her mid-drift. Anne grasped the middle of it and twisted upward as he fired. The arrow shot upward into the air. She jerked to a stop then, stumbling. She felt a burning pain as the blade of an arrow sliced cleanly through her shoulder. She spun, a snarl on her lips and lunged, but suddenly stopped.

The man who had shot at her was as good as dead. Blood trickled from the side of his mouth and his sightless eyes stared at her but she knew he was incapable of seeing now. He would never see again. He was dead. But that was not what had her attention. There he stood. His hand stained with blood as it protruded from the mans chest in the place where the heart had been.

"Missed. Damn..." He muttered and for a moment cold fear settled in Anne before it was replaced with an old cold rage...She turned away, but not before he saw her face. That one glimpse was all that he needed. Strange though, that they would meet again...he snarled and dropped the dead body. If anyone was going to kill her, he would be the one to do it.

Anne turned her eyes back on the hunter and heard his curse, heard his sweat drop. He was nervous now. Because he knew he wouldn't stand a chance. Anne wasn't naive enough to think this human wasn't afraid. He would be. He was. She could feel the rage emitting off of him. Rafael. Just as she was sure he could feel the rage coming from her.

"Hell no." The hunter muttered, he hadn't come here tonight to find more than one. He wouldn't be able to defend himself. One of them had already killed his partner. He pulled a small round ball from his pocket and threw it onto the ground. Light burst forth, so bright the hunter almost blinded himself with his own weapon before he quickly looked away and ran off in the other direction. He would be back, oh yes, he would.

Rafael cursed loudly, bringing his arm up to cover his stinging eyes, jerking back and away, jumping onto the roof of a building and away from the threatening light. Anne brought her arm up as well to cover her eyes. What was this?! And how? She turned quickly. She could actually feel her skin burn slightly, but no blemishes appeared on her flesh, that was how powerful the light was. She jumped up onto the same building as he did, behind her and away from the threatening light.

Anne spun around to face him. "How dare you...you...!" She didn't know what to say. He was here. After years, maybe centries, she finally saw him again. She didn't want to.

"I should have let him kill you...No. Then I wouldn't have the pleasure of tearing your beautiful body apart...piece by lovely piece..."

"You really think he could have killed me?" Anne actually smiled. Mockingly.

"Now that you meantion it, sadly no, I dont. Doesn't mean I cant though...My sweet Anne..." Only he called her that. It brought back painful memories.

"Dont call me that." She whispered.

"Your right...I shouldn't call you that. But it does suit you. You're sweet...but a treachorous bitch. You're just a pure tempest..." He mumured mockingly.

Memories assailed her, long dead memories.
