Author's Notes: Just character profiles, since I already had them made and so you can keep all these people straight. *EDIT* I've added some new people to the list that weren't on here before, mostly Hachirou's half-siblings that appear in the story at some time later on. For some reason I had some trouble figuring out whether Gorou was supposed to be older than Rokurou or not, it was a mess, lol. *2ND EDIT* I decided it was pointless to keep characters in the character list that aren't going to show up at the moment, so I got rid of them until further chapters.


Shouta Nanami- A 14 year-old boy with navy hair and onyx eyes. He's a really shy boy who used to be a freshman in a mixed (boy-girl) public high school but in the middle of the year was sent to Susumu High, an all-boys private school, as a sophomore. It was there that he first had a crush on transfer student Ryuunosuke and loved watching him practice basketball in the gym. But, he fell deep in love with bad-boy Hachirou as well. He had a long time best friend named Furiko who still attends his old school. He lives at home only with his work-a-holic brother since his mother and father disappeared mysteriously years ago.

Hachirou Kurogane- A 15 year-old boy with shoulder-length blonde hair and hazel eyes. Eighth child born to Takehiko. He can be a really cocky person who likes playing around more than working most of the time. He doesn't show his softer side much, except to people he trusts well. He's been in all-boys private schools his whole life, which has lead him to like boys and have a certain distaste for most women since most of the ones he's been around aren't that pleasant. His long-time best friend since kindergarten has always been Kaito who was the only one he shared his secrets with until now. Hachirou had a deep interst for cute little Shouta which turned into a harbored love that he even kept a secret from Kaito because of the fear he would get jealous. Hachirou has nine brothers and sisters, but only two of them are his full siblings while the rest are only related to him through his dad. He also lives in a big house with lots of things due to his mother's nice job.

Kaito Chiase- A 15 year old boy with maroon hair and dark brown eyes. He's a really deep boy who's into things like expressing himself through poetry, writing stories, and astrology. He's the only sophomore of any color, being half indian and half japanese, but he still has a big family being the oldest of five. However he's also anti-social, staying locked in his room away from his family and shying away from others at school. The only friend he had was Hachirou who he felt was even closer to him than family. It wasn't until they were in junior high that he actually realized he loved his best friend but never told him in fear of being rejected and ruining their friendship. But due to this secret love, Kaito now hates Shouta because of all the attention he's getting from Hachirou.

Osamu Sakata- 32 year old teacher at Susumu High with long black hair and hazel eyes. He's a real sociable man who easily makes friends and likes telling funny stories and jokes. However with his business tech class, work comes first and play comes later. He's married with no children to his 28 year-old wife Riko who he lives in an apartment with. He's good friends with Ms. Shiba, however she might know more about his personal life than she lets on. He's actually been having an affair with young Mr. Kojima, also a teacher, but was accidentally "caught in the act" by Shouta, coincidentally.

Ren Kojima- 27 year-old teacher at Susumu High with short light brown hair and blue eyes. He's a real handsome young adult who many in the school fantasize over, teachers and students alike. He teaches math classes like Algebra and Geometry but most importantly he's Shouta, Hachirou, and Kaito's homeroom teacher. But although he's one of the school's major heart throbs, he doesn't really have the best attitude. He has anger management issues, but on the inside he’s rather emotional and sensitive. He's technically single but he was having this affair with Mr. Sakata whom he actually loved but knew he couldn't actually have.

Natsumi Shiba- 33 year-old teacher at Susumu High with short red-brown hair and blue eyes. She's the type that although she's getting up there in age, she still dates and parties like a younger person. She hasn't really had any long-term relationships but that doesn't really scare her, although her friends think she should settle down soon. She's one to gossip, and she has a love for yaoi novels, which means you'll see her frequently reading purple potion erotica whenever she has a spare moment. Her love for both lead her to snooping around in Kojima and Sakata's business and she's super interested in that whole affair, good gossip AND it's between men.

Akira Nanami- Shouta's 22 year-old brother with long navy hair and brown eyes. Akira Nanami used to go to Susumu High not too long ago and was loved by his peers (because of his looks) and by his teachers (because of his manners and grades... and sometimes looks.) Ms. Shiba actually knows him, since he was one of her students and speaks highly of him as a loving and caring brother. Alot of the other teachers frequently ask Shouta about his brother but he has no idea why. Akira also works hard to support his brother and himself and although Ms. Shiba described Akira as a wonderful brother, she also thinks that Akira may love his little brother too much... in a way. But there's nothing sure about that.

Takehiko Kurogane- Hachirou's 49 year-old father with short black hair and greenish-hazel eyes. He had done plenty of bad things in his life, starting from his adolecenthood. From then on, he was in this gang and always risked his life protecting the stash of drugs that they kept and so forth, while getting his own cut as payment. But while he wasn't shooting bullets or shooting up, he was hooking up with girls. Eventually he was serious with Momoko and they had a baby. He played the "dad" for awhile, while running around on the streets, until he was caught with Shinju. Momoko left him so he was with Shinju for awhile, and she had three kids. Then, she caught him with Satomi, so the cycle continued. Satomi had two kids, caught him with Natsumi. Him and Natsumi were actually married shortly even though she already had the two boys with him and with a third on the way, which is why they actually have his last name. Naturally, he was cheating with Michi and Natsumi divorced him. Soon after Michi got pregnant and he left her immediately, he was said to have finally moved to another city. One notable thing is that almost all of his children are as promiscuous as he is.

Momoko Maki- Ichiko's mother.

Shinju Kawaguchi- Jirou, Saburou, & Shiko's mother.

Satomi Kurosawa- Gorou and Rokurou's mother.

Natsumi Matsushita- Hachirou, Shichirou, & Kurou's 39 year-old mother with blonde hair and brown eyes. She's a pretty harsh woman with a harsh mouth, and she talks to her children like she talks to everyone else: explicitly. She has a really nice job and is usually away at it often, which is part of the reason Hachirou and the others don't like her much, because she never spent enough time with them.

Michi Honda- Jurou's mother.

Shichirou Kurogane- Hachirou's 17 year-old brother with long blonde hair and hazel eyes. Seventh child born to Takehiko. He's a senior at Susumu High who's into lots of sports (like most the Kuroganes are), especially football since he has the build for it. Besides that, he doesn't get really good grades in school, due to his frequent lates and skipping (like Hachirou). One mystery about Shichirou is his sexual orientation: most boys at that school have only been around boys and hardly around girls, and wind up liking guys. However, Shichirou hasn't ever had any boyfriends or girlfriends yet so it's hard to tell.

Kurou Kurogane- Hachirou's 13 year-old little brother with short blonde hair and hazel eyes. Nineth child born to Takehiko. He's a shy little 8th grader in a private middle-school who gets called a nerd a lot, because of his glasses, lack of ability in sports, and his smarts. In fact, he's the only one of the three brothers that gets good grades. He does like watching sports, but it's a real confidence downer when he really can't play any with his big brothers. He's also a pro at MMORPGs. He's also a notable homophobe, despite his family being riddled with gay men (and lesbian women).

Rokurou Kurosawa- Hachirou's 19 year-old half brother with medium-length orange-blonde hair and cerulean blue eyes. Sixth child born to Takehiko. He's a freshman in college who's really smart but likes to party and hook up with guys from said parties, just like his older brother. He also enjoys chatting on the internet and reading whenever he has a spare moment from college and partying. He and Gorou, his only full-blood brother, are really close and share a townhouse together on campus. He doesn't really have (or want to have) much contact with Hachirou or any of his other half-siblings, because he believes they only complicate life.

Gorou Kurosawa- Hachirou's 21 year-old half brother with medium-length dark green hair and greenish-hazel eyes. Fifth child born to Takehiko. He's a junior in college who is big on doing everything that's essentially wrong, like partying, drinking, having sex with random guys he meets, even having gone as far as doing kinky things like threesomes and orgys. He undergoes some type of mysterious change between the two times of day. At day, he's the quiet well-mannered son of a well-off family and A-student, but at night he fools all and changes into the bad boy all the girls and guys on campus love. He used to even mess around with Hachirou, thinking there was no harm in it, and he kept pretty good contact with the other siblings. Him and Rokurou are really close brothers.

Ryoka Kurogane- Takehiko's mother, and Hachirou and the rest of the siblings' grandmother.

Kanon Chiase- Kaito's 14 year-old little sister with dark brown hair and deep red eyes. She is a real tomboyish girl but with really stunning looks, due to her tan skin and maroon eyes. She likes being loud, playing around, and having fun, just like one of the boys. However, she doesn't like the outdoors very much. She used to have long beautiful hair but she cut it short a few months ago when she heard a boy she liked loved girls with short hair. Since she's always getting in trouble, she'll frequently try and find something Kaito did wrong to take the attention away from her. She attends Shouta's old school as a freshman.

Katashi Chiase- Kaito’s 11 year-old little brother with spiky brown hair and hazel eyes. He’s a typical little boy going through that whole phase of growing up as he starts middle school this year. Like his brother, when the going gets tough, he hides out. Which translates to: he’s been isolated from the family lately and doesn’t talk out his problems much just like Kaito. The only difference is he has more friends than he does.

Kouta Chiase- Kaito’s 7 year-old little brother with black hair and dark brown eyes. He idolizes his oldest brother Kaito and wishes he’d spend more time with him but unfortunately since his brother is so negligent, he usually gets more brother-like attention from Hachirou (who ironically enough doesn’t spend time with his own brothers.) He looks up to Kaito so much he wants to run track like he did.

Kaori Chiase- Kaito’s 5 year-old little sister with maroon hair and hazel eyes. She’s started kindergarten this year in the same elementary school that Katashi just graduated from and usually likes to spend her time asking questions. She usually asks Kaito and her father about things the most, since she’s closest to them and also because they’re “older and all-knowing”. Lately she stopped talking to Kaito because she gets afraid of him when he yells.

Mariko- Kaito's step-mother with orange-red hair and blue eyes. Kaito has an obvious dislike for her and isn't afraid to show it. He often disregards her orders or requests and doesn't really care if he upsets her. He really hates the fact that she'll never replace his real mom. She is also known to be a Christian, and disagrees with Kaito's sexuality for that very reason.

Furiko Nakahara- Shouta's 14 year-old best friend with shoulder-length orange-brown hair and green eyes. She's a rather quiet girl, like Shouta, but she can get loud with people she's close with. She is an only child who lives with her dad in a nice house near where Shouta lives, and since they live close they walk to school together. The beginning of that year, while Shouta still went to that school, she tried to get her crush Nobuyuki to notice her but in the long run ended up striking out with him. Since then, they had kind of an awkward friendship.

Nobuyuki Ueda- Shouta's 14 year-old friend with short black hair and blue eyes. He’s a laid back, cool and quiet type of guy that all the girls like but can never go out with. He sat next to Shouta in a lot of his classes and enjoyed spending time with him more than any of his other friends. Before Shouta left that school, he confessed that he loved him but they hadn’t spoken since, and he began to deeply regret it. His home life is glamorous and his family is very well-to-do, living in a big mansion on isolated property nearly outside the town. One thing that is very important to him is that he just be called Nobu instead of his full name.

Ryuunosuke- A 17 year-old senior with dark green that almost reaches the shoulder and greyish-brown eyes. Shouta devolops a slight crush on him during the beginning of the story but is too afraid to speak to him. Eventually they do speak once, but it's unclear whether they'll ever talk anymore or become anymore than casual aquaintances.

Takeshi- A 17 year-old senior with a chocolate-color skin complexion, and short navy hair and grey eyes. He's like an older version of Hachirou, personality-wise. He plays football on the same team as Shichirou Kurogane and their also in the same class. Since they were so close since the beginning of high school when they met, Takeshi was actually the first to take Shichirou's virginity, and actually in an unusual way helped Hachirou confirm his sexuality. Hachirou used to have a crush on the older boy when he was in middle school, but it's unknown whenther he still does or not.

Masaru- A 15 year-old boy with dark brown hair and light brown eyes. He was Kaito's friend since the sixth grade, although they don't talk much these days. He always had a slight crush on Kaito but since he already knew about his friend liking Hachirou, he decided to keep it to himself, while flirting with the boy subtlely.
