Prologue

 

It all started with an act of kindness, didn't it? Who knew a simple suggestion could create such uproar amongst supposedly civilized beings?

 

One dream, three rulers, and a future no one in their right minds would think of. Because of their actions, they brought about the end of an era. However…

 

Perhaps it was destiny. Maybe through all of the bloodshed and anguish lies a new beginning. A fresh new start for him in a different reality, with infinite possibilities. Turning to look out of the window, he wondered if he played things differently if the outcome would differ.

 

He sighed and reclined in his leather chair. He had doubts it would go any different. It was fate, after all. But to think after his immense struggle, he would get a chance to see him again.

 

The door to his office slid open and an old friend came to greet him. He rose from his chair and shook the young man's hand with a small smile.

 

“Good afternoon, Jin Phoebus,” he welcomed as he led his friend to a chair beside his desk.

 

Did Fate ever foresee this?

A/N: Yes, I realize that this is shorter than most of the stuff I write, and that it may be a bit confusing. That's the point. As of now, I'm not writing as much as I want to. Just getting myself ready for the beginning of military life. I may post the first chapter of this before the end of the month…depends on my mood.
