Indigo Kids Tour VII
Life on the road is never an easy one. You have to know where you
are going. You have to try and keep up with your equipment. There
are many questions to ask. Is the venue going to be open? Do we had
the set list together? Is everyone going to be okay? How will the
ticket sales be? The manager worries about most of that. The band
has to worry about the rest.
"On a scale of one to ten, how hard is it to travel on the
road?"
Jenny stretched her neck from side to side.
Jenny: Six.
"Why is that?"
Jenny: <Sigh> You have make sure is everything is together.
You have to get there and make sure everything is going well. If
one person is sick, the whole show is a mess.
"Is it worth it?"
Jenny: Yeah.
"On a scale of one to ten, how hard is it to travel on the
road?"
Ryan: 11.
Aw, why?
Ryan: The stress. I am usually chill. But this is a big tour. It
could take us further.
"I thought you weren't big on the fame and all of that."
Ryan: I don't. But it would be nice for a bit, you know?
Still, they have to keep going.
Maureen: That's just how it is. You play and you travel. Some
people can take and others can't.
She leaned back in her seat.
Maureen: Even the greatest can't stand up to the pressure. The
Beatles bowed out of touring after they hit America. If you look at
it, you can't blame them.
"Where's the next stop now?"
She counts up in her head.
Maureen: I think we're going to Kyoto or Osaka next. I'm not too
sure. But it's one of those cities.
The tour keeps on rolling. It's about to end soon. For now, the
Indigo Kids have their fans and their music to keep moving. Good
luck! You can do it. We're counting on you! Fight on!
