I burst through tall, wooden double doors into a glistening gold ballroom. I was gliding on the floor at top speed. My hair was long and black, and my ballroom gown running behind me. Double swords were in my hands.
“Get back here you bloodsucker,” yelled a grown woman's voice.
There ten people in black capes and silver masks chasing me. I could've just went faster but one the giggled in a squeaky voice. “Animals like you need to trained.”
That was it. I could feel my eyes burn in anger. I whipped around and readied my swords. “I swear I'll make you wish you had never said that,” I exclaimed. I lunged forward immobilizing them. Blood stained my dress. I have no time to kill them. I had to help my brother. I turned and continued on my way. I opened the door and…
HONK “AAHH!” I fell off my bed flat on my face. “What the-” I looked up squinting and I saw my mom with a bullhorn. Rubbing my eyes I said, “Mom, what are you doing?”
“Waking you up.” Why is she always so happy? T-T
“With a bullhorn!” I stood up.
“Well I was going to let Riki-kun and his band make you up.”
I looked on the other side of my room at my brother and his band. “Yo,” they all said in unison.
I was in my pajamas so I jumped under the covers. “DON'T STAND THERE AND SAY `YO'! GET THE HELL OUT OF MY ROOM!”
They all ran out except for my big brother Riku. Mom yelled from outside the door, “Oh and hurry up Mizuki you don't want to be late for your big day.”
As they left a small puffball rolled into my room and bounced on to my lap. “Good morning Mew,” I said as she let go of her ears. Mew was a pet I've had for as long as I can remember. I want to call her white dog with a fluffy, long tail, but her ears seemed to be too big to be called that. Obviously she enjoys her ears because she loves to wrap her ears around herself and roll around.
“Mew,” she said purring.
I sighed as my brother sat down next to me. “Geez, why does she do that?”
Riku picked up the alarm clock, which was still ringing. “Your alarm clock has been ringing for 30mins and it's on high volume.”
-_-… “Shut up,” I said, pushing him.
He laughed, but I wasn't. “Aw c'mon I'm just messin' with ya. Cheer up.”
“Ugh, I wish I could it's just these stupid dreams,” I said. “ They feel so real.”
“Mizuki I told you they're just dreams,” he said. “Don't worry about `em.
“But-”
“But, I said don't worry about it,” he said. “Besides you need to be thinking about other things. Like how you're going to the most elite school in the world and kicking all those smart, rich kids asses.”
I sighed. “Yeah.”
“Well I gotta go.” He stood up and walked toward the door. “I've got some business to take care of, so I won't be able to see you off.”
I nodded and watched him walk out the door. Mew was still purring on my lap. “I wonder why Riku always acts like that when I mention my dreams to him?”
Mew looked up and blinked. =^w^= “Mew, mew.” She started to nuzzle my hand. I looked at the clock. I needed to get ready to go.
Four ours later my mom and I were at the top of Voss Hill where lie St.Voss. It was so beautiful there. They had stables, lakes, villages, and even in one of the forest there was a waterfall.
“This place is so big,” I said in awe.
The school was as big as a castle. The exterior was white. The driveway rounded around the fountain. Columns and bushes lined along the covered walk away to the building and around. The dormitories look like mini-mansions. They had black bricks with black iron gates around them all identical. The only odd thing was that while other houses were closer one was further off into the woods that the others.
We got out the car. I was about to grab my bags until I felt someone behind me. “There's no need to grab your bags,” he smiled.
Oh my gosh, he was so handsome. He had short, wavy, read hair and emerald green eyes. He had to be wearing his uniform. Red double-breasted jacket with a collared button-up and black tie. Along with black slacks and black dress shoes.
“Hello,” he smiled. “Welcome to St. Voss.”
My mom and I were so dazzled by him that it took us a little longer to answer.
“Ok. My name is Tatsuo Fukui. I'm going to be your tour-guide,” he said
“Thank you for the welcome,” we both said bowing.
“Oh, wait did you say Tatsuo Fukui,” I asked thoughtfully.
“Yeah.”
“Oh well maybe you guys just have the same name because the Tatsuo I know had spiky hair, tanned skin, looked like a thug, and would never be smart enough to get into this school,” I said thoughtfully.
“Look here-!” He was looking at his clipboard. “Wait. Your Mizuki Tsukino from Yamada Junior High School?”
“Yep,” I replied.
The next thing I know I was on a neck hold and he was ruffling up my hair. “Yo, Mizuki I haven't seen you in forever. How's everything been going.”
cough Tatsuo stopped , let me go and bowed. “It's a pleasure to see you again. Ms. Tsukino.”
“Oh Tsu-Tsu-kun you've grown so much,” she exclaimed, pinching he cheeks.
. . . . . .
“St. Voss, is an international, coeducational boarding school. We are also placed second of the top 10 elite schools of the world.”
Tatsuo showed us around the school. The inside was white with gold trimming and décor. We past a lot of classrooms that looked like lecture halls. I even saw the girls' uniform. The only difference between boys and the girls was that the girls wore pleated black skirts, black knee-high socks and instead of a black tie they had a black ribbon.
“It was establish in 1898,” said Tatsuo.
To think that Tatsuo would be accepted to a school like this. Then again his family was well known in the field of law. His family probably decided to put him here. He used to be a drummer in brother's band and they always got into trouble. Maybe they were fed up with him.
“What,” Tatsuo asked. I just realized he had stopped talking. I couldn't believe how much Tatsuo changed. I turned away hoping that he hadn't seen me blushing, I mean he was handsome after all. He just shrugged and kept walking.
“Isn't this school amazing Mizuki,” said mom happily. “Who would have guessed that such an old school could be so on top?”
“Yeah,” I said absent-mindedly.
Tatsuo looked at his watch nervously. “Umm we should hurry before the bell rings. It gets very crowded in the hall-”
RING “Oh crap!” Students poured into the hallways. All of them were heading out of the school, chatting with their friends.
Then someone shouted. “Look it's Tatsuo senpai!” Everyone stared at him then at me.
… “Aaawww,” they said in unison. “They're so beautiful.” Then they started running towards us.
“Oh my gosh! Tatsuo what do we do!” I turned around and he was all the way the hall.
He yelled back. “RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!”
I made a run for it and caught up to with him. “WHY THE HELL DID YOU LEAVE ME!”
“I couldn't help it. It's scary.”
I looked back. “Why are they chasing us?! They told me this school was safe!”
“Like hell it is! They lied to you!” He turned the corner. “This way.” We ran from the stampede down a hallway and through double doors into a courtyard. We slammed the door shut. Then the crowd started to rattle the door. Tatsuo managed to lock it.
I sighed. “Thank God that's over.” I looked around to see grass, sidewalks, gardens, benches, and a fountain in the center. Around the circular courtyard, was and arcade. Then I noticed something. “Wait,” I stood up. “Where's mom?”
Our eyes both reverted back forth from each other to the door. “Open the door Tatsuo.”
“Ah geez.” He grabbed his keys and got ready to run. “Good luck.”
“You're not coming with me?”
“HELL NO!”
“YOU COWARD!”
He unlocked the door and ran. The stampede was coming straight at me but before I could move one step I got ran over and blacked out.
