Weeks Later On Tues, December 5th2006

 

I looked at myself in the mirror, I can't believe I actually did it, I don't look like a balloon, and I don't look too small either, just in the middle. I better get ready for school, I thought.

 

I ate breakfast, which was a salad, and did all of the things you should do before you go to school. I put on a lime green outfit, smiled, and walked out the front door.

 

When I got to school everyone was staring at me as if I was the new girl in school. I saw Amy and Chris sitting on the steps. As soon as I saw them I ran up to them and said, “Hi!” Chris looked at me as if he had never seen me before in his life.

 

“Do I know you?” he asked, “Chris!! It's me, Colleen!” Then Chris gave me the weirdest look, then smiled. “COLEEN!” Amy shouted, and gave me hug. Just then, the bell rung, and we all went inside.

 

I walked up to my locker and did my combination, as I was opening it, I saw him. It was Aaron, the hottest guy I've ever seen. I've had the biggest crush on him ever since I came to High school, and for some reason he looked as if he was walking towards me, but I wasn't going to fall for the “I'm going to smile and he walks right past me” trick.

 

So, I turned around and started opening my locker all over again. It didn't open. “AAARRRGGHHH” I growled. Then I heard a deep voice say, “Hey” I turned around, and it was Aaron.

 

“Hi!” I said trying not to sound too excited. “See the trick is to opening a locker when it doesn't open is to hit it” He hit the locker with his hands and it opened. “Wow, thanks” I said smiling.

 

“I haven't never seen you around… are you new?” Aaron asked, “No…I've been around here for awhile…I'm Colleen” “I'm Aaron,” he said smiling. “Well, I'll see you around” “Ok, bye!” Wow! I thought, Aaron finally noticed me…but he never notices me, or anyone that isn't one of his friends.

 

My thoughts were interrupted by the bell, which meant. Go to class now! So we can torture you there. It was Day 2 today, so I had Math first period, I walked into math class, I barely made it in time before my homeroom teacher, Ms.Lucas did attendance.

 

 

Ms. Lucas walked over to the chalkboard and said, “Today we are going to-Oh! Colleen you're here today.” She walked over to the back of the room. “Here is your homework from all of your classes that you didn't go to while your suspension.”

 

She threw down a pile of books, worksheets and projects on my desk. “Finish all of this work by Tommorow, because, the report cards will be given out on Monday, if you don't finish it or don't give it to all of you teachers in time, you might fail.”

 

Those words echoed in my head, this is all J.S's fault, I thought now if I don't get all of this work done, I fail! I spent the whole morning finishing the work I missed, by lunch, I hadn't even finished one 3rd of the work I had to do.

 

Today was pizza special, I took a piece, I also took two bags of Doritos, and ice cream. Then, a little voice in my head said, HEY! Don't eat that do you want to look like a balloon again? Then a second voice in my head said, c'mon just this once!! I went with the second voice and took the junk food.

 

I saw the table that me, Amy, and Chris always sat at, but they weren't there. So, I ate by myself. I was on my second bite of pizza when I heard someone call my name. I turned around, and it was Aaron.

 

“Hey Colleen.” He said smiling. “Hi!” I said back. “Well you were sitting here alone so I thought I'd come over to see what's up.” “Oh, I don't know where my friends are, we always meet at this table.”

 

At that moment J.S came walking by in they're cheerleading uniform, at first they were staring at me, because they knew I looked familiar. Then, they gave me a bad look because they knew who I was, and I could tell they wanted to know why a nerd was talking to someone like Aaron? I guess I was staring at them for a few seconds because Aaron said, “Are you ok?” “Yeah I'm fine.” I said trying to act as relaxed as possible.

 

Trying to act relaxed wouldn't help me now, because Stephanie decided that she just couldn't help a little teasing. She walked over to our table and gave me that “I'm hot your not” smile and said, “Aww three weeks over so soon?” “Leave me alone!” I said, glaring at Stephanie, “Stephanie, can you go?” Aaron said sounding annoyed, Stephanie looked shocked, I don't think anyone has ever told her to leave before.

 

“Fine!” She said, looking down. “I was about to leave anyway!!” and she walked away. For the rest of the lunch period, me and Aaron talked, and then went outside to walk around. I didn't want to go, but then…the bell rung. And we all went inside.
