Chapter 1
Defeat

He drew his sword and ran up the plains, in the middle of the war he couldn't drop his blade and run. He heard a scream of agony, a fellow soldier had dropped to the ground from the enemy. The tall man, in shining chain armor slowly pulled the sword out as he kept his eye on the others. From the other side, the general yelled, “Hold your ground, don't go after them, they're retreating!”. Another soldier walked up to the general and asked him, “But what if they're going into the city to burn it down?” The general thought for a minute and commanded them to protect the capital city at all costs, though as they entered the soldier was right, It was too late the city had already been burned down. The survivors were running around searching for loved ones, but when they realized their loved ones had died in the attack.

“Tell me why this had to happen, why didn't he just stay out of war with them?” one soldier asked. A woman approached him and answered him, “Dictatorship can be a painful thing, occasionally people make dreadful decisions, and this was his.” All the soldiers walked into the remains of the castle and took off their armor and stored their weapons under the debris. The general had not found the dictator anywhere, until one soldier called him over. He found some of the dictator's hair, a trail of footprints followed. The general, alone followed these and found the dictator crucified not only five minutes from the city.

“What must be done to prevent this again? We must rebuild our government, who will take over this fallen down city?” the general took off his helmet and laid it by the dictator. “You were a good man, Kibel, we will remember you.” A citizen of the town found the general and gasped from seeing Dictator Kibel dead. “G-General Balris, I'm sorry to interrupt but the foe is approaching again, you must do something.” Balris replied to her, “I'm not sure if there is anything we can do, they are too strong and far to smart for us to defeat, we must let them win this battle, revenge will come I promise you.” Balris approached his troops and commanded them what to do for this final battle. He stepped up on the highest point on the debris and began to talk, “Army of Gientera, I must tell you what has been discovered. Kibel has been crucified and there is a spotting of our adversary approaching us. We are far to weak to defeat them, there is nothing for us left here, and we must withdraw. These past years in the war made it seem we would be the victors but with this occurrence we must leave our city, possibly even our country. One day we will have our revenge on Faust, that day is not coming soon though. Move out!”
