Chapter 1: A Prince in
Shambles
By: Melissa Norvell

Large, yet elegant gloved hands with long
fingers that laced loosely together kept their position as a
devious and insightful smirk crossed the face of a pale-skinned man
with jet black hair. He was an older
man, seeming more in his
mid-twenties, who aged well. The sparkle of youth preserved his
beauty, grace and made him appear regal in stature. He was dressed
in his usual attire; a long, knee-length white coat with pitch
black fur around the sleeves, bottom and a stripe of fur up the
middle, where the piece buttoned together extending into a
high-collar with lily-like black embroidery on either side. On his
chest, a red shield-like badge with a yellow cross served as a
family crest, which marked his royal breeding. A belt that hung
lop-sided on his waist matched the onyx coloration of his
straight-legged slacks and shiny shoes as he sat both feet on the
ground as he slightly leaned forward in interest at the
conversation at hand.
"Oh? So they want to form an alliance with
Titannia?" He asked the young, female subordinate before him with
interest. Titannia was a huge superpower, and one more alliance was
a political gain for them. It also meant that it would be one less
country they would have to seize by military force.
"Yes your highness, they have requested to meet
us at their government building, in their conference
room. They have requested to
negotiate a treaty with us and hope to become a strong ally," the
subordinate looked to her prince, awaiting his next
order.
"Should we trust them so easily?" The
black-haired prince slowly glanced to a man that stood on his right
side, slightly behind him.
The man was also a subordinate, significantly
younger then he, appearing in his late teens or early twenties. He
was a beautiful man, with long bangs and two tendrils of silver
hair, airbrushed with a dark melon on the tips that hung to his
mid-shoulders while the rest of his short
hair stopped at his mid-neck region. He possessed beautiful
glass blue eyes with dark lashes and was of a very feminine build,
despite his regal, Lolita-inspired attire.
"We have only recently advanced to the
conquests of Japan two weeks ago," he reminded the two of such a
short time frame. "Is it such a good idea to go down
there?"
"Oh?" The prince mused as he met eye contact
with the feminine man. "What do you think, Baron Yayoi Hatalia? You
don't seem like you fancy the idea."
"No disrespect, your highness, but I feel that
they can't be trusted so early on. If you go to Japan, please
request that some of the higher officials accompany you," Yayoi
advised. He didn't want anything to befall the most important man
to Titannia, not to mention to the second Axis and nearly half of
the world. As a baron, it was his job to make sure that the prince
took all precautions when dealing with such a situation. If
something were to happen to his highness, his penalty was
death.
"Well, of course I'd take some of my loyal
guards. I wouldn't dream of being that trusting of them." Even if
the baron was simply throwing out common information and stating
the usual precautions, the figurehead didn't like being
underestimated and frowned a little at the mention of his possible
incompetence of the situation.
"Let us go with you, Prince Schnitzel. We are
your most trusted advisors. We'll be sure to protect you," the
female of the group spoke as she placed a hand to her mid-sized
chest with a placid smile and large, yellow eyes filled with
gentility. There was nothing more that made her heart content than
helping a regal figure like him. It was what she lived for as a
countess.
"Are you sure, Kanon? You do have more than one
life to consider on this matter," Schnitzel smiled as his softly
colored eyes shifted to the small bulge in the girl's lower
stomach, causing her to flush slightly at the comment. He had
recently not assigned the pregnant woman to any hard tasks because
of the risk to her unborn child, so undertaking the current mission
would be more dangerous than those taken recently.
"Your highness, your life is also important. I
am not far along in my pregnancy. I'm confident that I can handle
the situation, if it truly is just a peaceful meeting that the
Japanese government promises," Kanon spoke with a great deal of
confidence before a large, male hand was placed on her shoulder.
Turning, the pink-haired girl met gazes with a rugged-looking male
behind her, who was dressed in a formal suit of sorts with fancy
decorations littering it, as well as a fair share of
medals.
"Allow me to go in Countess Kanon's place," the
voice spoke from over her shoulder, the rough tone filling the room
and silencing the smooth, deep voice of the prince and youthful
tone of the baron.
"Please, your highness, I implore you to allow
me to go. It would mean everything to me. You won't be
disappointed," Kanon pleaded as she leaned forward and wore a look
of determination. She didn't want the fact that she was with a
child to bear down on her worth or importance to the royal court.
The countess had pledged to guard the prince with her life and she
had always accompanied him on his appearances in the counties that
had either allied with him before or he had conquered by
force.
"Kanon…" The rough-looking one behind her
tried to change her mind, but she was stubborn.
"Alright, Kanon and Yayoi shall assist me,"
Prince Schnitzel agreed to grant her request, no matter how
dangerous it seemed to the other man. The spiky-haired baron
removed his hand from Kanon's shoulder and stared at his leader in
disbelief and shock. He couldn't believe that his highness would
agree with that order.
"What? Your highness, you can't be serious!" He
outburst so loudly that he caught everyone's attention. Schnitzels
face wore a deep-set frown.
"Did I just hear you question my orders, Baron
Rouma Kidaiji?" The royal figure's voice had just enough edge to
send shivers down his subordinate's spine.
"I apologize," the man bowed, not wanting to
evoke any anger from a man who could have him executed in a single
wave of the hand. It was frightening how much political power
Prince Schnitzel possessed. His choices would not be disobeyed and
what he said- went. "I won't question you further, my
lord."
"Good, we'll move out in an hour. Get ready for
departure and I'll signal for a division of foot soldiers to
accompany us," the prince instructed as the three of lower rank
saluted in unison as everyone began to exit the room and prepare to
head out for their scheduled destination.
Kanon and Rouma walked out first, talking to
each other as the pink-haired girl ran a hand through her long
ponytail, brushing over one of the buns behind either ear as she
laughed at something the rugged man said.
After a few moments, the prince and feminine
baron exited the room. Yayoi held the door open so that his majesty
could pass through and the two began to walk, staring at the pair
in front of them, faintly hearing their conversation in a stream of
whispers.
"Are you sure that you want to do this?" Yayoi
questioned as he followed a couple of steps behind the regal man.
Usually, an alliance didn't bother him as badly but he had a gut
feeling that wouldn't leave him alone for some reason. He felt it
in his bones that something wasn't right about the alliance with
Japan, but he couldn't pinpoint what exactly it was.
"What kind of leader would I be if I had done
such a cowardly thing?" Schnitzel looked to the other male. "I am
the second most powerful figure in the world. Besides, their Prime
Minister will be there, so nothing should happen unless they want
to endanger him. It's too much of a risk," the regal man took a
hand gun from a nearby table and stuck it in his lopsided belt.
"Just in case they decide to try and kill me, I'll make sure that I
take Mr. Kihara down with me."
Through all of the careful considerations,
there was always the ever imposing thought that it could all go
horribly wrong, and the prince prepared for that moment. He had
long since accepted the fact that he could be assassinated and the
thought didn't faze him in the slightest. If he were to die, he
would make sure that someone of equal importance went with
him.
The fact that Prince Schnitzel considered
taking a gun brought a deeper sense of worry in Yayoi's soul. The
baron took on a new insecurity and the desire to protect his prince
by keeping him from going to Japan intensified, but he kept his
peace. After all, he saw firsthand what Baron Rouma received for
questioning his orders and as his right hand man, he would not dare
speak a word of insolence.
"I worry about you, my prince," Yayoi sighed as
he felt an arm snake around the top of his shoulders. The sheer
strength and presence of the touch caused his form to go rigid as a
small blush adorned his porcelain cheeks. "S-Sir, we are out in the
open. If word gets out about this, then they'll find reasons to
dethrone you," the young baron whispered, where only the two of
them could hear.
"I know. You can't even scratch yourself in
public without the paparazzi snapping you in the tabloids,"
Schnitzel agreed as a frown hung on his features. It was one of the
many ailments to being in high status. Not only was his life at
risk every waking second but so was the reputation he upheld as a
prestigious individual of royal breeding.
"My clothes must remain on at all times in
public situations. Not even the slightest article should be out of
place," Yayoi reminded the prince of his codes.
"No one is around. Kanon and Rouma left,"
Schnitzel tried to get the young baron to loosen up. Yayoi
certainly was jittery over everything. The prince had figured that
worry just clung to his form from the thought of going to Japan
without knowing what to expect.
"But, someone would see us and that would be
devastating to your career," the silver-haired teen uttered in
concern. He could never be the one responsible for such a sin. The
last thing he wanted was for the prince to be sitting beside of him
in an execution chamber. Many things separated their relationship
and even though Yayoi was nobility, he could not deny that the
black-haired prince was deemed unattainable by nearly everyone in
his presence.
"You talk too much, Baron Yayoi."
"My apologies, your highness," Yayoi bowed the
two pieces of longer hair that hung over his shoulders tipped
downward as he lowered his head in submission.
"Follow me," Schnitzel instructed as he walked
down a hallway to the right of them, which was dimly lighted. The
only thing that cast light in the luxurious walkway was the
decorative floral lights placed evenly apart. Both figures were
bathed in a soft orange glow.
It was silent for a while, only the footsteps
of shoes on lavish carpet echoed through their senses as they
neared a door that looked as if it were made of iron. The two
stopped at the door and Yayoi had noticed where they
were.
"What about preparing to depart for Japan?" He
dared to ask as Schnitzel opened up the door to the dark room and
casually glanced to him.
"We will have time. I just wish to be in
private with you for a moment," the figure head walked inside, his
form being bathed in darkness as the young baron followed him
inside without a word.
Schnitzel flipped on one of the switches on the
wall and a huge map lit up as the room was filled with a blue aura.
It was a soft light, not noticeable enough to make it clear that
anyone was in the room.
The prince shut the door behind them as Yayoi's
light blue eyes glanced around the room. Aside from the large map,
which depicted every continent and island mass in the world, as
well as highlighted those taken under rule by Titannia, there was a
table in the shape of a half-circle surrounding it, full of
undisturbed paperwork from their last big meeting. Everyone had
many maps out and was trying to decide which direction they should
continue their expansion then decided to leave it in place so that
they could continue their discussion in their next
meeting.
The baron listened as the hum of the lights
calmed his soul a little, although he still wondered why Prince
Schnitzel would pull him into a room by himself to be in private.
Did he want to discuss the alliance of Japan a little more with
him?
"No one really uses this room, unless we're
strategizing our next move or having a meeting that requires a map
of this magnitude. We should be fine in here," the prince finally
spoke up as he walked near the map, his form bathed in the soft
light.
"It's quiet in here. Only the humming of the
light is our company," Yayoi walked out on to the map, standing
near the tip of Africa with his hands behind his back.
"Now, tell me what's wrong, Yayoi. It isn't
like you to be this worried," Schnitzel's voice was a little softer
and more endearing. It didn't have such a cold and professional
edge as it did when they were talking over the Japan subject
earlier.
"Perhaps I'm being a worrier about things, but
something doesn't seem quite right about this. I just have a bad
feeling," the baron admitted as his shoulders slumped.
A black eyebrow was arched. A few moments
later, he was accompanied by a small, soft smile. "You're edgy,
Yayoi," the prince rested his hands on the teen's rigid shoulders
and closed his eyes with a smile before turning his head to the
left. Taking a step closer, he pressed his body into the baron's
back.
This only made the silver-haired boy flush more
as he tensed.
"Perhaps a little…I've been stressed
lately. I guess I just work too hard," Yayoi's cheeks were now as
red as the color airbrushed into the tips of his tendrils and
bangs. He had tried to keep his voice from quivering as the scent
of expensive cologne and fresh linen filled his senses. Prince
Schnitzel always managed to smell so fresh and clean.
The prince drug his hands through the short
hair on the back of the teen's head as he walked over towards the
United States, stopping on top of Maine as he glanced back with a
smile.
"Yayoi, how long have we known each other?"
Schnitzel asked nostalgically as he leaned back slightly with a
warm smile.
"Well, if I may say so, I would say that it's
been since…" Yayoi stopped to think for a moment.
"Forever…I remember when we first met each other. It was in
the Imperial Villa, when the royal family was stationed in Neo
Siberia."
Vivid imagery of that day filled Yayoi's
mind as he took in the senses so well. It was a cold day, and
everything was covered in snow. Large flakes fell from the skies
and the slight breeze cut through his skin.
Everything was covered in a thick layer of
white, and the entire place looked like a picturesque Christmas
day. He was only twelve as he walked out into the white, clutching
his shoulders as he shuttered against the chill of the
wind.
"I don't know why
the royal family wanted to be stationed in Neo Siberia. It's so
cold here," the child muttered to himself he shivered so much that
it caused his head hurt. A few moments later, a warm blanket was
wrapped around his shoulders. It was so warm that it felt as if
someone had been cuddled up in it for a while.
The young boy glanced over his shoulder to
see the form of another male who appeared to be about seventeen
with short, black hair that was parted to the right, and long, jaw
line bangs that framed his flawless face. Small snowflakes clung to
the elder's dark, long, thick lashes and his midnight blue eyes
shone like sapphire against the grayed skies.
Yayoi couldn't help but be entranced by
them.
"Oh! P-Prince
Schnitzel," the small boy replied in shock. He felt a little stupid
for not even seeing the figurehead out in the Villa. He had thought
of it as too cold for anyone of blue blood to walk out in on a day
such as that.
"You should dress
better if you plan on being out here," the young prince advised as
he gestured to the Victorian outfit the boy wore. While it
contained many layers, it was still cold in a frigid climate like
that of Neo Siberia.
"Y-yes, your
highness. I was just out to run an errand for my father. If I may
ask, what are you doing here?" Yayoi asked the daunting man before
him, who simply held out a thick book.
"I'm just getting
some studying done," Schnitzel found it calming to sit out in the
Villa, no matter what kind of weather was present, to study. There
was just something about the place that soothed his soul and the
silence of snowfall had always been serene.
"War tactics?"
The silver-haired youth saw the words inscribed on the front of the
forest green and olive binding.
"Yes, father
insists that I study it if I am to be a successful ruler. He and
mother want the best for me," Schnitzel smiled at the thought of
carrying out his parent's expectations of him as a prince. He
longed for nothing more than to make his parents
happy.
"I could help you
out if you'd like your highness. I excel at war tactics and
strategies," Yayoi offered. Even though he was so young, his
ability to strategize and develop plans of war had been the cause
of two Titannian victories over small countries. Yayoi was deemed a
prodigy.
"Oh? Do tell?"
Schnitzel was interested in what the boy had to say. So far, this
had been a more than interesting encounter.
"I am Baron Yayoi
Hatalia, in case you weren't aware of whom exactly I was, my lord,"
the young boy replied as he bowed slightly. It was an honor for
someone like him to meet the prince face-to-face, and he had been
so rude, simply talking to him as if they were on the same
level.
"The prestigious
Hatalia family. You have served the royal family for years and you
have a long line of nobility. Many aces and prodigies have stemmed
from the Hatalia bloodline," Schnitzel knew them all too well. The
Hatalia's fame spread through Titannia like an enigma and they were
considered some of the most important members of the Titannian
hierarchy.
"Yes, of
course."
"Your name is
Japanese, isn't it?" Schnitzel inquired, finding it interesting
that there was a seemingly Japanese member of the Hatalia
family.
"Yes, I am half
Japanese," Yayoi informed.
"Tell me, to
which country does a half-blood pledge their loyalty?" The very
question was one that shook the silver-haired boy and drove to the
very epicenter of his being. All Yayoi could do was stare in shock
and wonder what the prince meant by that question.
To this very day, Yayoi had been torn on
what to say on such a question. He had pledged his loyalty to
Titannia but his mother was full-blood Japanese. Even though she
also pledged loyalty to Titannia, she was still respectful for her
unconquered homeland.
"I have been thinking about that question since
our meeting that day," Yayoi's glassy eyes glanced over to his
prince. His words held that same emotion that they had when he was
twelve- the emotion of deep perplexion.
"So, what is your answer, Yayoi?" Schnitzel
asked. It had long since been a type of game to the two of them.
When they spoke of the past, he would often ask the half-blood
baron the same question, which would only lead to confusion and a
comforting scene between the two of them.
"I serve you, your highness, and
you are Titannia. I would never
betray your trust. My last name is Hatalia, and that is not
Japanese," Yayoi spoke the words cautiously. The prince meant the
world to him, and if he ordered for him to chose between his
Titannian and Japanese blood then he would forsake that for
him.
"Is it that confusing?"
Schnitzel was amused with his mind game. "I've been able to screw
with your mind with that inquiry since you were twelve. I'm
surprised you haven't found on answer to it yet." He didn't
consider the information he had been given a real answer. Besides,
Yayoi only said it to please him, not because it made him happy to
choose it.
"But, I have. I serve you, Prince Schnitzel. I
owe you so much, not to mention the fact that you made me your
personal strategic advisor. I am honored to hold such a position,
even though I am merely a half blood," Yayoi replied with fierce
loyalty and confidence in his answer. Ultimately, before anything
else, he would choose Titannia.
"You don't disappoint me," the young baron
heard his prince say as he strolled casually over to the edge of
the table, sifting through a few maps that were strewn all over.
Light blue eyes scanned through the bunch of maps as they gathered
the information pinpointed on each one.
Placing his hand on the table to steady himself
as he leaned forward, Yayoi began to lift up a map. "What's
this?"
Below it was a map of his mother's home country
of Japan, but before he could even see the contents of the map, a
black gloved hand slammed it down. The contact made Yayoi flinch as
he felt his stomach press against the table as his prince hovered
over him. Those same familiar scents intoxicated him and the
closeness of their bodies caused the half blood to feel the prang
of a thousand needles against his skin as his heart slammed in his
chest.
"What…What are you doing?" Yayoi's eyes
slid back to the prince in innocent question.
"No one is around. We should have a personal
consultation," the prince spoke in his ear, sending shivers of
excitement down the younger man's spine as he trailed his hand down
the elaborate coat that the baron wore in a seductive manner,
causing an instant blush to adorn his cheeks.
"P-Prince Schnitzel…" Yayoi stuttered as
Schnitzel rested the side of his face on the feminine baron's, his
long, black bangs ticked the man's delicate skin.
"Relax, we hardly get time together. Since
we're in such different rankings, by common law we are unattainable
to each other. Don't you get lonely, Yayoi?" Schnitzel purred as he
shut his eyes, taking in the scent of the feminine man below him as
he felt the silky strands of that airbrushed hair against his face
and admired how beautiful the red and silver were as they blended
together.
"Of course, my prince. It is hard not to wish
to be with you, but spending time with you makes me happy. I like
knowing that I can at least be at your side." For such a thing,
Yayoi had been truly happy. Nothing pleased him more than serving
his prince. It didn't matter in what way, and even with what was
about to happen between them, no matter how forbidden and taboo it
was for the both of them to be homosexual, of different ranks and
even ethnicities, a part of Yayoi enjoyed the thrill of the moment
and the feeling of sin.
"Don't you ever want to do more than just
stand? Don't you have desires?" Those toxic words poisoned the
baron's senses and caused desire to overtake his body. The
temperature began to rise, as he felt something hard press against
him. It was a familiar feeling. The one of his prince's longing for
a sexual escapade.
"Of course, but I know better than to do
anything in public with you. Two men behaving that way would surely
draw up controversy and who knows what would happen," Yayoi
continued as he felt the prince's coat fall loose and hand around
his hips. The teen also heard a small klink as infamous lopsided
belt and gun hit the floor.
From behind him, he felt a gloved hand reach
beneath his coat tails and tug his slacks and underwear down,
exposing his skin to his majesty. Yayoi felt vulnerable, like an
injured deer staring down the eyes of a fierce wild cat but at the
same time, his heart fluttered with the chance to have a private
encounter with the man he was so fond of. The overpowered baron
soon felt the familiar sensation of a slippery substance and noted
to himself that this had all been a planned encounter with his
significant other. It had been a long time since they had engaged
in any activity, romantic or not and even if it was to be quickly
screwed, he wouldn't mind it at all.
A blush swept over his face. "You want to do
that…S-sir?" His voice quivered, with both excitement and
apprehension.
"Of course, Yayoi. I love you, after all,"
Schnitzel told him kindly as he steadied the baron's hips and
slowly entered him, causing the feminine one below him to release a
small moan in pleasure as the prince settled back in to place,
laying a top of him with a hand beneath his chest, caressing him
gingerly. Schnitzel gave the half blood a tender, half-lidded smile
as Yayoi blushed and slowly drug his hands over the many maps that
his form rested on, clenching them in his hands as he whined in
pleasure from the slow movements that he felt deep within his form.
Prince Schnitzel had been feeling romantic today and desired to
hold him close. It was Yayoi's favorite kind of encounter. He loved
how his prince held him with such cherishing arms as he thrust in
and out of him and stirred emotion that the baron had not felt in a
while.
It was a nice release- for the both of
them.
XxXxXx
"I'm ready," Kanon said with a stern look on
her face, her bright pink painted lips were fixed in a straight
line as steel determination shot through her yellow eyes as she
pointed the barrel of her pistol into the air. 'Prince Schnitzel,
please be right about this alliance with Japan. What Yayoi said
seriously got me thinking about things.'
As she didn't
want to believe that Japan could be plotting something against
them, she couldn't rule it out. Even if it was supposed to be a
peaceful meeting of the minds, anything could happen, and for that-
she would be ready to come to her prince's aid and fight for
Titannia.
XxXxXx
Yayoi lay on the continent of Africa, with his
wrists pinned by those elegant, gloved hands as the neon blue glow
surrounded his body. Half-lidded, sparkling eyes, filled with
emotion gazed up at the man above him- his stunning prince in all
of his erotic glory.
Schnitzel's cravat hung around his neck like a
scarf, and his robes and shirt had been undone, exposing his toned
body beneath it. The long, white and black fur coat was draped
around the two of them like a curtain, concealing the contact that
their forbidden areas had made. The baron's spun as the last
shivers of an orgasm left him. His airbrushed silver hair, tinted
with red cascaded around him and stuck to the map with static
electricity. His black jacket and white undershirt was undone and
the large, lacey bow that had been tied around his neck was reduced
to a bold, wide ribbon. A thin layer of sweat adorned his skin as
he stared up at those navy eyes, so full of passion and
love.
They slowly shifted from Yayoi's face of
ecstasy, to the watch around his wrist as he noticed that they only
had a mere fifteen minutes before they were to depart. A serious
expression crossed his face as he moved away from his lover and
began to get his appearance situated. Yayoi noticed his expression
and did the same.
There was a moment of silence as the two men
dressed themselves. Nothing but the rustling of clothes could be
heard for a good five minutes before the prince decided to
speak.
"I hope you were satisfied," Schnitzel
smiled.
"O-Of course I was, your highness," Yayoi
blushed. "You always know how to please." He heard the clack of
shoes as the black-haired nobility walked towards the door.
However, the sound stopped before the other man reached the
door.
Staring at the prince's back, Yayoi stood up as
he heard Schnitzel speak. "Don't be late."
"Yes, sir."
XxXxXxXx
The trio, followed by numerous soldiers set out
for Japan in one of their many flying aircraft. It was a large
craft, designed to carry numerous amounts of people and cargo. The
machine was an odd shape, resembling more of a large, flying cone
than anything and rode smoothly through the air. The trip to Japan
was pleasant and as he gazed through the blue skies, the prince
felt calm, resting his head against his hand.
So far, everything had been going according to
plan. The trip went efficiently and everything had operated to its
prime. They landed on a small, private strip next to the Prime
Minister's location. There were several vehicles and aircraft
there.
As Prince Schnitzel was helped out of the
aircraft by Kanon and Yayoi, he glanced around the building.
Everything seemed fine but it was very silent, as if a funeral had
taken place there. He had figured that it may have just been
jumping to conclusion and walked ahead with the group of royal foot
soldiers that surrounded him.
The entrance doors opened as everyone stared
down the dimly lit sector of hallways that seemed to lack guards of
any kind. It was a mystery to the three of them, but they kept
silent and simply wore confused expressions.
"This is it," Kanon announced, "the Japanese
Peace Hall."
Tension seemed to fill the air as Yayoi glanced
around at the artwork that hung on the wall as everyone advanced.
Nothing could be heard but the footsteps of everyone and a few
whispered phrases. The beautiful Japanese artwork and scrolls made
him ponder on his Japanese heritage. After all, he was in his
mother's homeland and soon the fact that his mother was Japanese
would have no affect on Titannian prejudice.
'My roots lie
somewhere in this place. I have never been here, but it somehow
feels nostalgic.' Yayoi's sights were
directed to a beautiful, large painting of a water
shrine.
The picture was beautiful, and it entranced him
in many ways. He was in such a trance from the beauty of the
painting that he hadn't listened to Kanon state that it was quiet
and she hadn't seen anyone around.
After she had stated that phrase, two upper
class sentinels walked up to them, carrying rifles with bayonets
walked up. One of them was distinguished with long, black hair that
was pulled back into a low ponytail and the other was an older,
bearded gentleman with a monocle.
"We're sorry that we're late. We ran into some
last minute preparations. You must be Prince Schnitzel Eau
Cossattia," the dark-headed man spoke as he bowed.
"Yes, and these are my advisors, Baron Yayoi
Hatalia and Countess Kanon Fussinii," Schnitzel gestured to the two
figures that stood on either side of him. Both of the figures bowed
in unison.
"It's a pleasure to meet you," the two said in
unison, met by a unison response from the two sentinels.
"The pleasure is ours," the man with the
monocle spoke as he introduced the both of them, gesturing to
himself and then towards the younger of the two. "I am General
Katsumori and this is General Fushinaga. We are the prime
minister's two most trusted generals."
"We're here to take you to see Prime Minister
Kenichi Kihara," Fushinaga instructed.
"Follow us, please," Katsumori turned and
gestured for the group to follow close behind.
Yayoi had managed to catch glance of General
Katsumori and noticed that his eyes seemed strange. They looked
filmy and was it his imagination, or did they sort of hold an odd
glow to them? Perhaps it was just the lighting playing tricks on
him. His own eyes were of a pale blue and awkwardly tended to seem
as though they held a glow. It would have been something like that,
but a large part of him doubted it. 'Their eyes…They
look so hollow and lifeless. What's wrong with them? It's like they
are possessed.' The baron thought
to himself as he watched the others walk away from him.
'Surely not. I mean, such a thing cannot be humanly
possible…Can it? Has Japan advanced so far in technology that
they've managed to create a way to control
minds?' Worry flashed
through his crystalline eyes. "If that's so then…Prince
Schnitzel is in trouble."
Before he could react off of his suspicions, he
felt bony fingers touch the side of his face. The feminine baron
froze in his place, breath caught in his throat as the ghostly
contact from the pale, cold fingers caressed his now flushing skin.
Such an intimate contact from a stranger only earned a natural
reaction.
"Such a pretty little thing. Handsome doesn't
quite fit you," the purring, foreign voice slithered its way into
his ears. It was the voice of someone young, younger than himself.
The voice shook up the Titannian, Yayoi dared not to move against
the ghost-like touch. For all he knew, his next move could be his
last and calling out for help would be more than futile with
someone being that close to his face and neck.
He could feel the cold breath on the back of
his neck, coursing down the folded collar of his jacket and cutting
through his pristine, button up shirt.
"Who are you?" Yayoi asked his voice thick with
uncertainty and fear.
"I'm the death of Titannia," the chilling words
of someone who clearly had terrorist actions ripped fear into his
form as he tried to remain calm, despite his heart beating so
quickly that it might jump through his throat.
"What?" The question was shaky.
Fear. It was something that the enemy seemed to
get high on. A wicked smirk crossed the enemy's face as the words
flowed from his mouth like velvet, sweet and endearing in
tone.
"Welcome to hell, Baron Hatalia."
Out of instinct, Yayoi jerked away from the
touch and whirled around with an angry expression. "How do you
know-Huh?" The baron cut himself off as his eyes widened and a bit
before he drew back.
The figure that stood before him was a mere
boy, dressed in a white, elaborate outfit with flowing sashes and
embroidery of golden swirling patterns that adorned the front and
cuff links of his jacket. He was a tall, beautiful boy with short
hair, the color of sand and chocolate eyes with dark lashes. He was
very distinguished and high class individual.
Yayoi was shocked to know that he wasn't much
older than the boy and they were nearly the same height. The
foreign boy reached out his hand to him and spoke in a harsh,
demanding voice.
"I command you, Baron Yayoi Hatalia, listen and
listen well. Use the most sacred thing you can offer to the prince
and draw him into a room by himself," the youth commanded as he
opened his hand and at that moment, Yayoi heard a loud crash, as if
someone had busted glass. He didn't know if it was a hallucination
or not, but he saw glass shatter around him, even though there was
no glass around and his body jolted as he felt something invade
him.
He recoiled and held his head in pain,
attempting to fight it off. "No! I am loyal only to Prince
Schnitzel. I…I don't want to manipulate him! Stop!" Yayoi
yelled as he staggered around, holding his head. "Please
stop…"
"It's so fun to watch you the weak squirm in
pain," the mysterious boy smiled in amusement, to the point of
looking happy. "All hail Titannia!" He mocked, as he turned around,
waving a hand in dismissal.
Yayoi jolted up, standing straight as his
irises gained a neon blue outline and took on a milky glow. He had
completely submitted to the mind control and spoke with a torn look
on his face, the last of his emotions fading.
"You're right; I should get Prince Schnitzel
alone and seduce him," Yayoi's lifeless voice spoke the command as
the other male splayed a hand over his cheek and laughed in twisted
pleasure.
"The first stage has begun. Titannia will meet
its end and all of the countries that are under Prince Schnitzel's
rule will be free. The Prime Minister was such a fool to want an
alliance with such an inferior method of rule," he smiled
wickedly.
The end was about to come, and his gain over
the prince would be his first step to carrying out his master
plan.

Schnitzel and Kanon stood in a small waiting
room with their army of guards and a small amount of Japanese
soldiers. The room was quiet as they waited what would happen next.
Yayoi was not present, which was a cause for concern. Kanon
wondered what happened to him, or if he got lost looking at the
Japanese artifacts on the walls, since he had seemed so entranced
by them earlier.
Soon after, the doors opened and everyone's
gaze was directed to them as Yayoi walked into the room, showing no
signs that anything was truly wrong.
"Yayoi! I thought you were lost. I was
worried," Kanon's face lit up with happiness when she laid sights
on the feminine baron.
"Sorry, I was admiring the portraits. This is
the first time I have been in Japan, after all." Yayoi apologized
with a bow.
"Oh yeah, you're half Japanese, aren't you?"
The pink-haired girl asked.
"Yes," Yayoi replied before looking to the
dark-haired prince. "Your majesty, can I talk to you in private
while we wait for the Prime Minister?"
"Oh? What do you wish to discuss?" Schnitzel
seemed interested in his lover's potential inquiries.
"It's a private matter, as I have stated
previously," the baron replied as the black-haired prince looked to
Fushinaga in question.
"Is there a room close by where we can speak
amongst ourselves?"
"There is one room that you are allowed to go
in, but you must have a Japanese official with you at all times,"
Fushinaga explained.
Navy eyes glanced to Yayoi as the prince asked
him if he was alright with one of the Japanese generals present.
The baron agreed with a polite bow as Schnitzel glanced back at
Kanon. He then questioned if she minded the fact that she would
have to wait there, with only the soldiers as protection. Kanon
didn't mind. She knew that they probably had something important to
discuss and being alone with the foot soldiers didn't bother her at
all.
The trio left the room and walked a small
distance down the hall before coming to an elaborate, gold and dark
wood door. Fushinaga opened the door as the two walked into the
dimly lit room, which resembled some sort of control room of sorts,
with light up maps on the wall and large branches of control units
that lined the walls, as well as a large screen, used to receive
commands from a higher source in another location.
Fushinaga closed the door as the two walked to
the center of the room.
"Don't worry; this room is secure and sound
proof. You'll have no problems here, and you can speak freely among
yourselves," he advised.
Schnitzel looked to the dark-haired general,
before his sights shifted back to Yayoi. "So, what did you feel
like you had to tell me in private?"
"So, how is a half blood who hates his own
country supposed to act?" Yayoi's words were detached and they
instantly were a cause for concern.
"What?" Schnitzel was confused and something
unsettled him. "I don't have time for your philosophy on questions.
We are attending an important business matter. What's wrong with
you?"
It wasn't usually like Yayoi to act so out of
line.
Schnitzel's hand was picked up gently and laid
on the baron's cheek as he smiled calmly, gazing into his prince's
eyes with love and adoration. "My dear prince, you should learn
some patience."
"What do you mean?"
Yayoi didn't answer; he simply leaned forward
to kiss the other man's lips, not really caring that someone else
was present in the room.
"What are you-" The prince asked before his
sentence was cut off by the kiss.
'Please forgive
me. I don't know what I'm doing. I have no control over my body. I
am so sorry.' Yayoi thought. He
could no longer control himself freely and no matter how much he
struggled, he only felt himself getting weaker. If his mind was
going to be controlled. He didn't want to be forced to watch any of
this while he aided in the fall of the person most dear to
him.
It was betrayal.
It was treason.
It was the most anguishing pain he could have
ever felt- worse than any torture.
"Yayoi…" Schnitzel sighed endearingly.
That tone to his voice made Yayoi want to break down, feeling the
weight of the guilt. As much as he wanted to will the tears
forward, his body would not allow him to cry.
"Your highness. I'm afraid you have fallen for
a trap. Perhaps you shouldn't be so trusting of your subjects, no
matter who they are. Your trust for this pretty boy, who pledged
his loyalty to your faulty government, was your downfall," Yayoi
spoke as a look of realization crossed the prince's
face.
It was all a set-up. Yayoi had initially been
right about Japan.
"What?" Schnitzel threw up his defenses as an
arm was wrapped around Yayoi's neck, pulling him closer to
Fushinaga, who pointed a handgun to his head. "What in the hell is
going on here? What did you do to Yayoi?"
"Oh Prince Schnitzel…The prestigious
Prince Schnitzel Eau Cossattia, who is supposed to be the second
most powerful man in the world," the sandy-haired boy stepped out
into the middle of the room, staring the prince down with a smug
and happy smile plastered on his face.
"What? You're just a kid. Who are you? Where is
the Prime Minister?" Schnitzel knew that there was no way that this
child was the Prime Minister, considering he had spoken with him
moments before to tell him that he was on his way to negotiate with
him.
"Why, I killed him, of course," the boy's voice
ripped through the prince's senses and he felt apprehensive upon
hearing the words that flowed from his mouth. This single boy
killed the Prime Minister? If that was the truth, then he was just
set up for assassination.
"This was all an organized trap."
"Of course. Did you really think I wouldn't
plan something as great as this? The defeat of Titannia is at my
command and soon, you will be as well…But first…" The
boy snapped his fingers as Yayoi's eyes lost their glow and his
emotions took over and the discombobulated baron took in the
situation around him.
"I…I have failed Titannia…I am a
traitor. I'm so sorry. I have committed treason in the worst way,"
Yayoi spoke in a weak voice as tears clung to his sparkling,
emotional eyes. All of the pain that the possession had held in had
finally been released and the baron spilled his pain to the man he
loved.
"Yayoi…" Schnitzel looked sympathetically
towards the other man. For once, he was sorry that he had not
listened to his advice and as a result, Yayoi was suffering,
emotionally and physically.
"From his day forward, you shall obey my every
wish, desire, word and will…Prince Schnitzel Eau Cossattia,"
the youth thrust his hand forward and his palm opened as Yayoi
looked on. The same thing that happened to him, happen to his
prince. He was helpless to do anything to help him. His body
refused to move. The baron was reduced to a lifeless
doll.
"Your highness…" The words were faintly
murmured as a single tear fell and shattered on the floor as
everything shattered around Schnitzel as a bright white flash
filled the room as he held his head. Struggling against the
possession.
It was painful for him to watch as his prince
struggle against the possession, thrashing around agonizingly as he
held his head in pain. Yayoi tried to keep a straight train of
thought, but he could barely concentrate for an entire minute.
Whatever the youth had done to him, it was far more than a
possession. He was reduced to nothing more than a doll with not
mind enough to talk.
"No…I won't succumb to this madness," the
prince argued as he stumbled around, thrashing his head as if he
had lost all control of his bodily functions. "Damn it! You won't
control me!"
The boy frowned. "Stubborn, do as I
say, now!" With a snap of his
fingers, the prince stood straight up and looked to him obediently
with those familiar eyes of milky blue. The boy smiled in wicked
delight as he instructed the prince to bow to him.
Schnitzel went to one knee, folding his arm
across his chest as he prostrated himself before the Japanese boy,
bowing his head down low. It was nearly too much for the boy to
contain as he laughed in an uncontrolled, maniacal way and threw
his head back, bursting out so loudly that his lungs might
explode.
"This! This is great! Wonderful!" He reached
out, grabbing the prince by the chin and staring into those blank
eyes. "You…Your family have plagued my life for years. You
have taken everything from me and now I'll take everything from
you. Welcome to hell, Prince Schnitzel Eau Cossattia!"
