Death Academy: The Beginning

Chapter Six

 

Ryo'ichi was being dragged down a torch lit tunnel, on the right wall there was a sign, it said, “P.A.S.M Facility - Ruin Sector Ahead.”

 

Here is a little outline thingy I did of the stories setting, sorry if you don't like it, I didn't really try, but it gets the job done.

 

 

The two robed people kept dragging Ryo'ichi down the tunnel until they arrived at the first turn, a turn to the left which opened to a large stoned room, only lit by a few fluorescent lights; they looked down the rest of the tunnel, until the man pointed towards the room to the left.

 

“We will take a rest here. Two more levels is the ruin sector's main hold.” The man said, sitting down Ryo'ichi's body.

 

“Right.” The woman said, sitting down against the wall, out of breath, “What do you plan on doing to him when you get him there?”

 

“I'm-“

 

“You're going to do nothing.” Someone said, from outside the room.

 

“Who's there!” the woman said, standing up, pulling out a blade.

 

Zinnia walked out of the shadows into the room, pulling out her dagger, “Remember me?”

 

“You! How did you find us?!” the woman said, shocked to see Zinnia.

 

“I followed your dumbasses; you guys are not that great at knowing when someone is on your ass, huh?” Zinnia said, mocking them.

 

“We don't really bother or care if someone is following us, it is all the same, we spared you once, but now we will kill you.” The man said, pulling a blade from behind his back.

 

“No.” the woman said, stepping in front of him, “I handle this one, go, take Ryo'ichi, I'll kill her.”

 

“Fine.”, the man said, picking up Ryo'ichi and walking towards the tunnel.

 

“You're not getting past me!” Zinnia said, blocking the way.

 

“Pay Attention Zinnia!” The woman yelled, appearing in front of her, hitting her with the wooden part of her, what look like to be a scythe, knocking her to the opposite side of the room.

 

“Go!” she said to the man, as she ran towards Zinnia.

 

“Right.” The man said running out of the room taking a left, going deeper into the ruins.

 

The woman arrived once again in front of Zinnia, however, Zinnia was ready, when the woman, flung the blade of her scythe at Zinnia, Zinnia ducked, sending a cut that went from the woman's hip, to her shoulder, causing her to stumble backwards.

 

“I am confused, I want to know.” Zinnia said, getting up and sheathing her dagger.

 

“What.” The woman said, not looking like she was fazed by the cut.

 

“How did you know Ryo'ichi's and mine's name?” Zinnia said, still standing, on guard.

 

“Hahahahahahahah you really wanna know child?” the woman laughed, pulling the hood off her head, revealing a tan looking face, with eyes hidden by glasses.

 

“Wha? What?! Professor Sparks?!” Zinnia said, stumbling backwards, confused and shocked, “but you- I saw- you.”

 

“How stupid, come on Zinnia when I saw you, I saw you as a brilliant newcomer, you really don't know?” Prof. Sparks laughed, taking her whole robe off revealing her regular clothes, the only new accessory was her scythe, “It was a distraction, a setup, the person I killed that was made to look like me, was one of the students.”

 

“What! You killed one of your on students?!” Zinnia said, looking more angry than confused.

 

“Yes, it was really easy; I just had to tell her it was an extra credit assignment. The fool fell right into my trap.” Prof. Sparks laughed, walking towards Zinnia, “Now, for you…”

 

“Back off, I'll kill you, for what you have done.” Zinnia said, unsheathing her dagger once again.

 

“Hah! You make me laugh. Ryo'ichi, I know he can beat me, however you, your nothing but a little sidekick!” Prof. Sparks yelled, flinging her scythe at Zinnia.

 

“CLANG!”

 

“What is this?” Prof. Sparks said, shocked to see that her blow was insufficient.

 

Zinnia blocked the scythe, smiling, looking as she wasn't even trying. Zinnia pushed her scythe away and came at Prof. Sparks with amazing speed, sending a blow only inches away from her head. Zinnia jumped backwards just dodging the scythe, it was close enough to even cut her shirt open a little bit.

 

“You shouldn't be so sure of yourself, Professor, or should I say Haley.” Zinnia said, still smiling, “You said Ryo'ichi could beat you? Well you in for a treat, because not once has Ryo'ichi ever been able to defeat me.”

 

Haley Sparks' eyes widen in shock, “What?”

 

“You heard me!” Zinnia said, running towards Haley, “Take this!”

 

Zinnia sliced into Haley from the other shoulder down, creating a bloody x on her body.

 

“Zinnia?!” someone yelled in shock.

 

Zinnia looked up to see Hitomi and Ryuu standing at the entrance to the room. Prof. Sparks turned around and stared at them, then suddenly smiling to herself.

 

“Thank God! Ryuu! Hitomi!” Prof. Sparks yelled franticly.

 

“Professor Sparks?!” Hitomi yelled, confused, “but Zinnia said that you was dead.”

 

“So she has deceived you too?!” she continued, “I was talking to Ryo'ichi tonight, and she appeared out of no where and killed him! Then she dragged me here, and was trying to kill me, because I knew to much, please help me!”

 

“WHAT?! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!” Zinnia yelled, but it was too late, Hitomi was already above her, swords in hand.

 

“I'LL KILL YOU ZINNIA!” she screamed, slamming her blades on top of Zinnia.

 

Zinnia shielded herself from the blow, but was still struggling to keep Hitomi's blades from slipping through her defenses.

 

“My plan worked! I can kill them both in one blow!” Prof. Sparks thought, getting up and running towards the two struggling girls.

 

“BOTH OF YOU DIE!” Prof. Sparks yelled, throwing her scythe at them both, waiting for it to chop them in half.

 

“CLING!”

 

Ryuu appeared in front of the flying projectile, bouncing it off his sword, and back towards Prof. Sparks, only seeing it being caught by her, not even putting an effort into catching it.

 

“SEE HITOMI!” Zinnia said, pointing at Prof. Sparks, “She tried to deceive you into killing me!”

 

“Oh, sorry.” Hitomi said, finally stopping her mad rampage.

 

“What a pity, and I thought I could get rid of you both.” Prof. said, still not seeming fazed by any blow.

 

“You're going to regret ever trying to use me!” Hitomi yelled at her, pointing her swords to her.

 

“Ryuu, go. Continue down the tunnel down deeper into the ruins; Ryo'ichi is there, I am guessing he is with Dean Sparks. Help him, Hitomi and I will get rid of this pest and be down there to back you up.” Zinnia said, running towards Prof. Sparks, along with Hitomi.

 

“Right!” Ryuu said, running past them all, and down the tunnel.

 

“I'll let you go, no use, you won't survive long down there.” Prof. Sparks thought, as she defended herself from the two girl's blows.

 

Zinnia ran to the left of Prof. Sparks, while Hitomi took the right. They both charged towards Prof. Sparks, blades in hand with the intention to kill. Prof. Sparks dodged both blows and swung her scythe, slicing them both in the back.

 

“Ah!” Zinnia said stumbling backwards.

 

“Huff, Huff, Huff that kinda stung.” Hitomi said, a little out of breath.

 

“You two can't beat me.” Prof. Sparks said, looking at the two exhausted girls, “I'll end this now.”

 

Prof. Sparks ran towards both of them, right before she got to them, Hitomi and Zinnia exchanged glances and nodded at each other. Prof. Sparks swung her scythe again, only to see them both disappear.

 

“What?” she said in shock.

 

“Behind you!”

 

“Above you!”

 

Hitomi was above Prof. Sparks while Zinnia was behind her. Hitomi threw one sword at her, only to have Prof. Sparks knock it out of the way.

 

“Got you.” Hitomi thought, as she caught Prof. Sparks off guard, piercing her in the shoulder.

 

“Ack!” Prof. Sparks said, clenching in pain, from the steel in her shoulder.

 

Prof. Sparks, quickly recuperated, knocking Hitomi out of the way flinging her all the way to the front of the room. Zinnia, then, sliced Prof. Sparks in the back, sending her stumbling forward.

 

“Who's beating who now?” Zinnia said, out of breath.

“What? Where am I? All I remember is….” Ryo'ichi thought, regaining consciousness.

 

Ryo'ichi leaned up, looking into a huge dome shaped room, and he stood up and looked around. He was standing in a circle shape platform; on each side was a long stone platform that went in two different directions, one led to what look like the entrance to this room, the other led to a wall. Water surrounded the rest of the place, it poured down from the top of the high ceiling, and all in the water were large and small boulders, that's when Ryo'ichi knew he was underground and where he was at.

 

“This is the Ruin Sector of the P.A.S.M Facility! I have heard about this place, but that means that the people that brought me here were-“

 

“Bingo.” Dean Sparks said, appearing from the entrance, carrying a spear.

 

“Just who I wanted to see.” Ryo'ichi said, grabbing the two pistols from up under his belt, transforming them into blades.

 

“I brought you here to kill you, Ryo'ichi.” Ben yelled, immediately attacking Ryo'ichi with his spear, cutting Ryo'ichi's side, “I am going to DESTROY you for killing my brother!”

 

“What!” Ryo'ichi yelled, but it was to late, Ben's Spear transformed into a chain-linked spear with a click of a switch.

 

Ben threw the chained spear at Ryo'ichi; Ryo'ichi blocked it with his sword, only to see it swing around, piercing him in the back.

 

“Ahh!” Ryo'ichi yelled, as Ben yanked the spear back to him, “I didn't kill your brother!”

 

“LIAR!” Ben yelled, slamming his fist into Ryo'ichi's stomach, making him cough up blood.

 

“I would never have laid a hand on Ken; he was my closest friend in the facility!” Ryo'ichi said.

 

“Then WHO?! Who could have killed my brother?” Ben yelled, into his face.

 

“It was…”

 

“WHO?”

 

“It was your father!” Ryo'ichi yelled, staring at Ben's flabbergasted expression.

 

“YOU'RE A FUCKING LIAR! MY FATHER DIED SEVEN YEARS AGO!” Ben yelled, even more enraged, charging towards Ryo'ichi with his chain-linked spear, “I WILL KILL YOU!!”

 

“Ben wait!” Ryo'ichi yelled, dodging the spear by jumping on a boulder that was floating on the water.

“Hitomi! Are you okay?!” Fee yelled, running into the room, helping Hitomi up.

 

“Yeah I am fine.” Hitomi said, getting up, breathing heavily.

 

“Is that Prof. Sparks?!” Lee said, looking at the tired woman, “I thought she was dead?”

 

“She faked it! Dean Sparks and her were responsible for all this!” Hitomi said, fixing to charge towards Prof. Sparks.

 

“Wait Hitomi!” Zinnia yelled, still keeping an eye on Prof. Sparks.

 

“What?”

 

“Go, you care a lot about Ryo'ichi right? Then go. Fee, you can help me finish this pathetic excuse for a human. Lee, you go with Hitomi and help back Ryo'ichi and Ryuu up.” Zinnia said, still watching Prof. Sparks closely.

 

“Ok. C'mon Lee.” Hitomi said, already making her way deeper into the Ruin Sector, with Lee following behind her.

 

“Ready to help me kick ass Fee?” Zinnia said, looking at Fee who walked up beside her.

 

“Damn…and I just did my nails too.” Fee sighed, pulling her guitar off her back, switching a button making spikes appear all the way around the base of her guitar.

“Huff, Huff, Huff, I can't do this without my right arm.” Ryo'ichi said, glancing at his right arm, “Alright buddy, it's time for you to show them what your made of.” He continued, unwrapping his arm.

 

“What?! What is wrong with your arm?!” Ben yelled, looking at Ryo'ichi's arm in horror, seeing a blood red eye looking back at him.

 

END OF CHAPTER SIX

 

CHAPTER SEVEN PREVIEW:

 

Well this really isn't a preview but more of what's going to happen. We are getting to the ending of this story, Ryo'ichi is faced up against Dean Sparks, while Ryuu is stuck fighting Slades in the tunnel, as Hitomi and Lee are gaining up to Ryuu. Zinnia and Fee are stuck battling Prof. Sparks. In this chapter, Zinnia and Fee's battle comes to and end. Ryo'ichi, Zinnia, Hitomi, Fee, Ryuu, and Lee are all reunited and up against one of the most fearsome beings they have ever seen, the Sin Cleanser.
