Chapter 1

Act 1

In a small city in south asia,

01.33 AM

The small city was very quite this night. The citizens already lost in their dreams hours before. The cold of night air made them prefer to stay inside their house and hid in the back of their warm blankets even though the full moon appeared on the sky above to show its beauty.

Between the silence, a figure ran in the dark, challenge the cold air of night. Following behind was another figure. Both were in chase, jumped from one roof to another, until they stopped on a high concrete roof of a small building. For a moment of time, the two stood face to face in silence.

The weak moonlight tried to notify the figures. The first was a young man and another was a long haired young woman.

“Are you A Siddha-nasa?” the young man asked with his cold deep voice and she simply replied, “Yes. I was ordered to capture you.”

He let out a small laugh for her words. “Fool. A mere human such as you have no ability to capture me.” After the words, he jumped down to the ground below.

“Wait!” she shouted as she followed him.

They continue the chase and soon it turned out to be a qi fight between the two. But the distance of their powers was so obvious. The called Siddha-nasa seemed to have problem to match her opponent who have power to control stones and soil. An enormous number of stone pieces went directly to her, push her back to dodge and her opponent took the opportunity to run away.

She still managed to see the young man direction. He went to the south as she and her guru already planned and he came into their trap.

Act 2

Raka slowed his pace and stopped when he saw a white haired old man stood steadily blocking his way. When he saw the previous Siddha-nasa joined in behind his back, he realized that he was set into a trap but it's already too late.

The old man smiled to him. “I already wait you for a long time, Ardha-desha.” He stared to his disciple. “You doing your job well, Shita.” And she nodded.

Raka growled in anger. He fisted his right hand to the ground below his feet, intent to release his power but before he could do that, the old man murmured a spell and thin lines of light appeared on the ground's surface beneath his feet, formed a kind of magic diagram. The diagram sealed his power and he couldn't move his whole body.

The old man spelled once more. This time, the formation glowed in very bright lights and the lights stroke him. A cry of pain filled the night air, breaking the silence. After a moment, gradually, the lights disappeared and dark occupy the night once more. Their surrounding came back into the silence. The only voices heard were short pants come out from a damage body.

Raka fell into his knees, hard to breath. “H..how..come.. a m..mere human as.. you..”

“Mere humans as we have our own way to capture Dhemit,” Resi the old man answered. “I'm looking your for quite a time. For an Ardha, you are hard to capture.”

“Are you going to kill me?

“We Siddha-nasa have no power to vanish Dhemit and that is not our reason.”

Raka eyed his capture weakly. “Why then?”

Resi replied his gaze. “I offer you your liberty.”

“..for what cost?” Raka asked again, not having any clue.

“I want you to protect a Sula.”

Raka stared in surprise. The answer confused him and he let the old man to continue his explanation. “Aamash the Atomos is gathering five Dhemit from five element power possessor clans to use the power of Aphomet. Only a Sula could stop him and Aamash is aware of the fact.”

“Why you choose me?” another question.

“Because you are an Ardha. You possess the power of Dhemit and the heart of human, even though you no longer use the heart you have in these past recent years.”

Raka scoffed at the explanation. “Still.. I am a half Dhemit. Are you not afraid of the change my evil side will appear?”

Resi smiled at Raka's fear. He assured him, “You need to worry nothing. We already prepare for this. You just do your task.”

Vocabulary

Dhemit : devil, demon

Siddha-nasa : human who possess supernatural power and charged to choose an Ardha to protect the Sula. They could locate a Sula with their power.

Ardha : A half dhemit human

Sula : a chosen human who possess the power to vanish dhemit

Atomos : one of top dhemit clans
