Adam’s POV
Uncle Vinnie and Uncle Vito were grim as they walked through the door, but smiled and hugged me as they came in.
“Where’s your ma?” Uncle Vinnie asked. Vinnie isn’t my real uncle, but he hangs around the house so often that I treated him as an uncle, and when I did that, he treated me as a nephew. I told them my mother was in the kitchen. They went to talk to my mother, with my real uncle, Vito, ruffling my hair as they left. I continued playing with my little trains. About 5 minutes later, I heard the heavy sobs of my mother. I now know that my father had been arrested. My name is Adamo Taliaferro. Everyone calls me Adam. I am the son of Adriano Taliaferro, aka Don Taliaferro, a mafia crime lord.
