"Hard Nights and A Unknown Man..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oc tober, 2020.....
"What hurts the most...was being so close....having so much to say....watching you walk away...never knowing...what could have been...and not seeing about loving you...."
Those were the thoughts that ran through her head. That same old stupid song she heard on the radio the other day. It was exactly how she felt right this moment. She had so much to say, but instead wacthed him walk away. It was the same as it was every day when they were together with his friends. She come, he go. He never stayed long enough to know if she was alright. Probably best with his new playtoy hanging off his arm. She sighed. But she still loved the bastard. Even if they have been divorced about a year now. Oh he moved on, moved on to a light petite little burnette. She couldn't help but feel he was insulting her. With his new little girlfriend all pretty and slim, she on the other was lightly rounded but had them in the right curves. She had no big belly, no she was flat. Had slightly brownish blackish hair, that went down to her middle back, with a slightly red streak in it that somehow was there for as long as she can remember. Her eyes were no deep hazel like his new girlfriend, they were a pure brown that showed fire when angered. Her skin was a light brown. A tanish thing she had through all her life. No she was no petitte burnette that had hazel eyes and an accent of french, she was her own person. But she still couldn't help but feel as if he was throwing his playtoy in her face. Jessica sighed again. She always hated when he left. It was like a stab through her heart when he suddenly got up and left. She downed her shot with a fast gulp. It burned down her throat and settled like a warm fire in her belly. She looked up at the bartender who gave her another shot. He was bald and very...intresting. He looked like her uncle Max. Of course Uncle Max didn't rotten teeth and a sense of humor. She smiled gratefully at her Uncle Max look alike. She looked down at her shot and wondered if she could hold it. Oh well, she thought, to a miserable life and a bastard of an ex-husband. Suddenly there was a presence by her.
"I knew I'd find you here...alone as usual!" said the accusing voice.
Jessica sighed and turned to her ex-best friend. The women was a pettite burnette. The very same Pettite burnette who left with her ex. She hadn't she her ex-best friend in a year and wish she hadn't, not right now.
"What do you want? Shouldn't you be off with your fiancee?" She said. Those hazel eyes looked at her hurtfully. Those same eyes that knew how to act well.
"Man Jess... I said I was sorry so many times....it's been a year already...get over it!"
"I wonder how you would feel, if you saw the love of your life and the best friend you trusted with everything groping and touching and attacking each other on the floor of your own room?"
She stayed quite.
"Thought so...."
"Jess....I told you, me and Dan told you were sorry we just-"
"Just shut it!!!! I don't want to hear it! You both screwed up my life!" She got up from her sit. "Both of YOU! Sleeping behind my back for almost what? Mine and Dan's marriage! GOD! Why didn't you both kill me by stabbing me through my back?"
She stayed more quite. Everyone who was present in the bar looked at the girls.
"You know what Sara...fuck your apology!"
Sara gasped. Jessica never before used language like that before. She rarely did, and when she did she meant it.
"But Jes..."
"No...you and Dan and go fuck yourselfs! Or better yet fuck each other...I hate both of you with every fiber in my being! I gave each of you a pieace of my heart and both of you fucked me up....Now....levae me alone! I don't want any of your lame excuse's!!" With that she grabbed her purse and left the crying Sara alone.
So what if they apologized over and over again. It was never going to replace that hurt, the betrayal she felt in her heart. When she walked out of the bar, she saw to her left Dan waiting there. She flicked him off and walked in the opposite direction. She hated them. Her to 2 best friends. Her 2 most important people in her life betrayed her, she doesn't think she can get over this.
"Love sucks...big time!" she mumbled.
She walked over to her house that was a mile away. Her feet were killing her but she didn't care. She was angry, hurt, sad, and most of all heartbroken in many ways. She walked to the ocean and took off her shoes. This was the place she could let go of everything and not think about anything. She walked closer to the shore and noticed a think fog rolling over it. She walked to the waves and let them hit her feet. The coldness made goosebumps rise on her skin and she let the wind and the coldness hit her. It was the way she felt inside. Cold and empty. She looked up at the sky and noticed the stars were shinning very brightly. Not a cloud in sight. A perfect cloudless sky. The way she loved a sky. She saw to her amasment a shooting star. She looked hopefully at it and closed her eyes.
"I wish I had something to make me happy again and most importantly..someone to love again" When she looked up again she saw the star gone. She breathed inthe ocean air and looked at her watch. 12:00.
"Ha! Happy Birthday Dan! You pathetic bastard!"
She looked at the ocean once more before walking back to the shore and sitting down. She remembered the star and thought it was pathetic to wish for things that were never going to come true. Bringing her legs up and putting her head between her legs, only then, alone on a deserted beach did she allow the tears she was holding out. Her tears of frustration, betrayal, and anger. Most of all anger. Of course she was heartbroken. But anger overridded. When she looked up to the ocean again with tears streaming down her face she say something floating in the water. She gasped and got up. She ram over to the water and splashed in. She swam to the floating pbject and when she reached it she saw it was a body. Hurrying over she grabbed on and started dragging it to the shore. Ocean water went down her throat but she had to get this body to the shore and help. Her hair became wet and her cloths began to stick to her body and her eyes began to sting. She now realized that this was far away from the shore. But then, determination set in and she swam faster and tightening her grip on the body and headed for the shore.
It seemed like forever but then she reached the shore and pulled the body on it with her. Her air hole was so full of water that she coughed up alot of it on the ground. She shook her head and looked at the body that she risked a cold for. The body was lying on its side away from her. From this point she could see that the body had long black hair that was long past his shoulders. She let her gaze go down and found out he had a great butt. She crawled over the body and reached over to bring the face to her view. When she did was surprised. HE was gorgeouse. With the most striking features she never knew.
With high cheek bones and small cleft in his chin. Slightly high arched eyebrows and if you looked clsely enough on his cheeks you saw the dents in the middle that indicated dimples. She reached up and touched her cheek that held that one dimple she had, then she streched her hand up and touched his. When her hand meet his skin it was like electricity shot through her body. She let her hand move down and cup his cheek.
Jessica couldn't understand it but, she wanted to kiss this unkown man she rescued. When her hand touched his cheek, a groan came out. She snatched her hand away and watched unknown man's eyes began to flutter open. When they did, they locked to her eyes and they caused her to gasp. They were a brilliant blue. But the color was not what caused her to gasp it was that heated fire that were in there. The Desire. When she began to scoot away, unknown man's lips, full lips, began to curve in a smile. When he reached to touch her neck, Jessica wanted to back away, move away but she couldn't. She was trapped in those heated eyes. When he cupped the back of her neck and brought her closer to him, his smile turned into a grin.
Jessica barely had time to blink when man brought her down and gave her a kiss that melted her down to her soul and most importantly....her heart.
