Date Me
*Kagome*I hate being lonely. I barely get to see Ryo-kun anymore. I don’t like it. I need to do something. So, I began my planning. I figured I needed more dates.
After my bath, I picked up my phone and opened compose.
Hey Babe,
I’m so lonely. I haven’t seen you in days. Are you available this Friday night?

I pressed send. A smile came onto my face. Suddenly, my phone rang. I answered it right away.
“Hello?” I asked.
“Kagome-chan?” I heard on the other line. My heart did little flips.
“Ryo-kun?” she asked.
“What’s up?” he asked. “Just got your text.”
“So, are you available on Friday?” I asked.
“Sure,” he said. “Why?” I swallowed at first. It feels sloppy to just ask him out right. Yet, I don’t want to be vague.
“Kagome-chan,” Ryo-kun said. “Are you okay?” My face felt hot at that question.
“Yes!” I yelped. “Yes, I’m fine!” He shushed me over the phone.
“Take a breath,” he said. “Breathe and then talk.” I followed his every word. Soon, I felt calm enough to talk again.
“Now,” Ryo-kun said. “What do you want this Friday?” My face felt hot again. My brain didn’t hold back this time. I didn’t even have a clue what happened next.
“Date me!” I yelped. There came a pause on the other line.
“What?” Ryo-kun asked. I tried to make myself speak.
“Date me!” I blurted out. “Please date me! We barely get to spend any time together. I just want to see you again! So please! Date me!” I heard chuckling on the other line.
“Ryo-kun?” I asked.
“Of course,” he said. “You didn’t have to do a whole speech. Just ask me outright next time, okay?” I chuckled aloud.
“Right, of course!” I said. I laughed aloud again.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” Ryo-kun asked. I stopped right away.
“I’m fine!” I said. Oh crap! He’s going to think I’m a laughing idiot now! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! I calmed myself down.
“So, are we still on our date Friday?” I asked.
“Yes,” he said. “I promise!” My heart fluttered at his words.
“Okay,” I said. “Cool. Uh… good night!” My Ryo-kun chuckled.
“Night,” he said. My heart flipped again as I held the phone to my chest. I flopped back onto my bed. I did it! I finally have a date with my Ryo-kun. I really did it!

Yet, that plan won’t be so easy and straight down the rope as she wants it to be. There are bound to be pretty obstacles ahead. Mother and daughter better look out or else they’ll love the men they love.
