Cupid Plots

Kagome and Ryo lay on the den floor.

“We have a problem,” he said. She glanced over at him.

“Is it Setsuna again?” Kagome asked. Ryo pressed his lips together, nodding.

“Yep,” he said. Her hand inched towards his.

“So what do we do?” she asked. He looked her in the eye.

“You tell me,” he replied. Kagome took a minute to think.

“Well…” she said.

“Well?” he asked. His girl shrugged her shoulders. “Sorry.”

“We're stuck.”

“Yes.” Her hand took hold of his. “I think she likes you.”

Ryo pretended it surprised him. “Me?” he asked.

“Yes,” Kagome said. “I don't blame her.” She gave him a fond smile. “You are a beautiful boy,” Kagome said.

“Aw, thanks!” He moved her hand to his cheek. “You're pretty too.”

Kagome's cheeks turned bright pink.

“Oh…”

He kissed her on the forehead. “I love you.”

“I love you too.”

“But do we do about Setsuna?”

“Hm…” Kagome tried to piece together an idea. “What if…” She shook her head. “No, it won't work.”

Ryo lifted his head. “What?”

Kagome waved him off. “No, it's not that good.”

“Tell me.”

“No.”

“Please?”

Kagome frowned at him. “You sure about that?” Ryo nodded his head with a little pout. His girl sighed as she rolled her eyes.

“Alright,” she said. “What if we hooked Setsuna up with someone else?”

Ryo blinked at her rather curious. “With who?” Kagome tried to think of the right answer.

“Uh… well…” she began. When nothing came, Kagome shook her head. “I can't think of anyone.” Ryo broke into a chuckle. His girl frowned, slapping him on the arm.

“Ow,” he complained.

“It's so hard,” she said.

“I know, I know.”

“She's too difficult!”

“Yes.”

“She can be so scary.”

“Yea.” However, another idea crossed his mind. “But I know someone who can handle her.”

Kagome looked up at him, puzzled. “Who?”

He pressed his forehead against hers. “Seiho.”

She looked at him with big eyes. “What?!”

Ryo gently shushed her. “It'll be okay.”

She made an uncomfortable face. “Are you sure?”

“Yep! He can handle it. Plus, he's crazy about her.”

Kagome blinked at him. “You're kidding, right?”

Ryo pulled her in closer. “Nope, the man really does love her.”

Kagome rested her cheek against his chest. “So what's the plan?”

He smiled at her question. “Delighted you asked,” he said. “You take Seiho while I'll get Setsuna.” Ryo brushed the bangs from her forehead. “Sound good?” he asked. She kissed him on the collarbone.

“When do we start?” she asked. He gave her a little kiss on the lips.

“As soon as possible,” Ryo whispered. “A.S.A.P!”

“Roger that!” Kagome replied. They shared another kiss on the floor.
