Mindfreak- I was actually aware of that particular army regulation when I started the story. But it seemed like the perfect way to do so, and I'm not planning on shooting for publishing anyway, so I figured what the hell. XD. Shane is also my favorite character, has been for the last two years ;). Don't worry, I can promise you he's a good guy, more like the good guy. Thanks a lot for the review though! I hope I can get perhaps even another chapter in before the fifth if we're lucky. I intend to update frequently, but then again if I hit a writers block there's no telling how long it will be before I get to update. I hope you do okay without computer access, I know I'd die xD. Good luck to you! And again, thanks so much for the review!

Dark_Angel666- Roy is trouble xD. Not quite yet but he becomes a big load of trouble later on. But you'll have to read and see, and by all means, please do =3. Thanks so much for the three reviews.

I do plan to reply to all my reviewers from now on.

Jason sat alone in Shane's living room, Raj and Clark were upstairs using the computer, and Teresa was in the shower. He was finally thinking over the thing he had avoided for so long, ever since Germany, since the woods, since he met Shane. Perhaps even since he went through the one nightstand with that man from the bar. He didn't want to be, he didn't want to be in general, but he was losing the ability to deny what he did want, and for that he would have to be. So the question just kept coming back to him, the question he kept refusing to answer, and in doing so he answered it clearly. Was he gay?

It's wrong, I'm not gay, no one is really gay, not by blood. He told himself. This is my choice, either way, I can if I want to and I don't want to. He tried to sound as certain as possible. “But I like Shane,” He said silently to himself. He'd figured that part out earlier, he liked a man who liked him back, that should make it easy, but there was a problem. Did he really want to be gay, did he want Teresa and Clark and Raj and Tony to know he was gay? Of course not, but he liked Shane, and who says anyone else had to know? Someone else had to know; Jason couldn't get through without at least telling someone. He'd made up his mind and was still debating over who he should tell when the perfect person came casually hopping down the stairs.

“Raj!” Jason called to him, shooting up from his seat and heading over to talk to his long-time friend. “I need to talk to you,” He said. Raj stopped suddenly and turned towards him in askance, Raj was far from a listener.

“Why me?” He asked. He didn't want to play big brother or therapist or mommy or whatever the hell Jason wanted from him, he'd come down to get a soda.

“Clark would strangle me, Teresa would burst into tears, Mark would laugh at me and I don't even want to know what Tony would do to me,” Jason explained quickly what he went over in his head.

“Okay, based on what you just said I'm just gonna take a guess,” Raj paused for a moment. “You like Shane,” He said in question. Jason opened his mouth, he was expecting Raj to say something stupid or insulting, but he was right.

“What? How did you know?” He asked.

“Why else would Clark strangle you?” Raj shrugged. “Beside the fact that he's mentally psychotic, and when I came down for a beer last night you were feelin' Shane up,” He smirked. Jason's jaw fell open and he had an urge to slap Raj across the face, and even more on to slap himself.

“Yeah,” Jason rubbed the back of his neck in guilt “I do, but I was drunk last night,” He said. “Anyway, I like him and I want to tell him but I don't know what it would do. What would he say, what about Teresa?” He seemed to be in panic. Raj's eyes lit up, he'd never been the type to try and break someone up, but a chance to tear the perfect match apart he couldn't help but take advantage of.

“Teresa,” Raj began slowly. “She really likes you. She always has, Jason, she always said it. But she loves you for who she thinks you should be,” He set his hands on Jason's shoulders. “Shane loves you for who you are,” He looked Jason in the eye, and Jason looked back; he was right. “It's your choice,” Raj advised. Playing his voice back in his head it sounded like the dumbest thing he'd ever let pass his lips, but Jason did look moved. He stepped back and fell on to the couch nodding. Choosing between Shane and Teresa was easy. After all the time they'd spent together he never did fall in love with her, never did like her as more than a friend. But that was just another reason to call himself gay; maybe he could be okay with it. Maybe it wasn't so bad? On the other hand Shane he'd always liked, as a friend most of the time but upon the last day in Germany, that kiss he was left with, that day he began to feel something more.

“All right, don't tell anyone else though okay?” Jason requested, Raj nodded. “I'm gonna tell him tonight when he gets back from… that place,” Jason said to himself, rubbing his hands together, he was nervous, very nervous.

“I'll get everyone else out of the house if you want, that is if you two want to be alone,” Raj offered.

“That would be great, can you do that?” Jason asked.

“Sure, I'll take `em out to a movie, my treat,” Raj said. “Can I get my pop and get back upstairs now, Clarks got this whole stack of videos online we're looking at,” Raj said.

“You two getting along again then?” Jason called into the kitchen as Raj reached into the refrigerator.

“For now,” Raj shrugged and headed back up the stairs. Jason leaned back against the couch, that was final; he was going to end his stupid charade that night. But what if Shane tried to take him, pressure him into sex; Jason's cock could easily take control of his body if it were prompted, but he wasn't ready for that to happen yet. He wasn't ready to wake up in someone else's bed again with his mind full of guilt. Even if it was Shane's even if he didn't wake up alone. He was a horny pervert by nature and he knew it, but his life would be ruined if anyone else knew that.

“You're Shane, right?” Tom rather snuck up behind him. Shane was looking at pictures the hung on the wall, he was in the house of a serial killer, he was surprised to find pictures framed and hung on the wall.

“Yeah, you must be Tom?” Shane turned and stuck out a hand. “You're in the pictures, most of them anyway,” He pointed as Tom stuck out his hand as well and took hold of Shane's for a proper greeting.

“Yeah, those were taken before the whole Mob thing started, Marty hates me for putting `em up, but they kind of bring back the better days, you know?” He said, looking them over.

“You two look pretty chummy, Marty and you, who's the other guy in this one,” Shane pointed to a picture of three men on a large fishing boat, Marty holding a giant fish and the two others standing beside him, one of which was Tom.

“That's Randy, Marty's cousin,” Tom said it regrettably. “He and Marty never really got along too well, they're still like that too,” He shrugged.

“You don't mean Randy Gilroy?” Shane said. “Isn't he the one who…”

“Shot his brother's eye out? Yeah, everyone seems to know about that incident. He was basically drunk, Paine was being stubborn and didn't believe Randy when he said he'd do it,” Tom explained. “So he lost an eye that day, he still clings to the son of a bitch like he's all he's got,” Tom let out a heavy sigh. “Anyway, Marty's setting us up on a little mission speaking of Randy, go over there and beg him for a loan. Thinks Randy hate's him too much for him to do it himself. Tony and me are going but he suggested you come too. Just to meet the rest of the psychos,” He suggested. Shane agreed to it and that was that.

Tony drove the SUV as he often did when they were going places; Tom rode in the passenger seat, and Shane in the back. Shane was left without anything to say or any way to join in the conversation. Tom and Tony were discussing past experiences with Randy that he knew nothing about, so he just listened. Most of the discussions were negative in one way or another, which made Shane just a little uneasy about Randy as a person. After all, he did shoot his brother's eye out. Shane also caught something about a new guy in Randy's gang that Tony hadn't met yet, a very young boy only fifteen years old. Shane scoffed, what was a fifteen-year-old boy doing in a gang of men that were over twenty?

The house was more like a beaten down shack, unlike Marty's, which was more lively and actually seemed like decent people were living there. Then again the people that were living there seemed hardly half-decent so far.

“Randy,” Nathan tugged on the sleeve of Randy's shirt, “Some of Marty's guys just showed up in our driveway, what should I tell them when they come to the door?” He asked, complete obedience and loyalty in his eyes as he stared up at Randy, awaiting an answer. After all, loyalty was all he had.

“No problem, I'll get it,” Randy patted Nathan on the back, taking a drink from a can of beer as he headed over to the door. Half way there he heard knocking and shouted, “I'm coming!” in an irritated tone. He peaked through the blinds to see Tom, Tony and some other unfamiliar man waiting for entrance. He opened the door with a wide, fake smile and opened his arms as if he intended to give them all a hug.

“Tony! Hey! You're back, haven't seen you in a couple years now,” He took Tony by the arm and pulled him into a hug, wrapping his arm which held the beer around his chest. Tony nodded, smelling the large amount of alcohol on his breath he wrinkled his nose. “Tommy, where's your boyfriend, and who's this,” Randy asked, first referring to Marty, then to Shane.

“Very funny, Marty is not my boyfriend,” Tom was very firm and protective over his sexuality, after all, he hung out with so many bisexual guys it was easy to mistake him for being gay.

“Randy, this is Shane Fulmer, he's new, but he's cool,” Tony introduced his friend. Randy kept his arms crossed and simply nodded; he'd never liked new kids. Shane nodded back; well for one Randy didn't seem like the most polite of people.

“Come on in guys, I'm kind of in a meeting right now but you're welcome to chill on my furniture and have a couple drinks while you wait,” Randy said. Tony listened to the first half, but by the second half the voice was drowned out when his eyes fell upon one particular person in the room. He was blond, he was muscular, and his neck was currently being nipped at by another man and his chest being rubbed.

“Jimmy, stop it,” Roy swatted his face away. “I'm trying to finish my stupid check book so I can get on with my life, and that's not helping,” He kept nudging Jimmy's away with his shoulder as he attempted to write the dates in his check book. Jimmy didn't seem to care, he just laughed and put a big slobbery kiss on the side of Roy's head. Jimmy ran his hands up and down Roy's body.

“Remember this morning?” He whispered. “Remember how good that was,” He chuckled. Roy rolled his eyes put couldn't deny the fact that he rather liked the way the man's hands worked.

“Yes, I remember okay? Now get off me, please. God, I already said it would never happen again,” Roy yelled at him, only for fear that it would end up happening again if Jimmy didn't stop.

“Party pooper,” Jimmy crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. He just then noticed that there was another in the room with them, someone he didn't recognize at all.

“Who the hell are you?” Jimmy asked. Tony was looking at Roy though, waiting for him to acknowledge that he was there. Roy looked up slowly, not expecting to see what he saw.

“I'm nobody,” Tony leaned over the table and got right up in Roy's face. “According to my ex girlfriend that is,” He poked Roy in the nose. “Boy you sure are a cutie aren't you, but we can fix that,” In and instant Tony had Roy by the collar and up against the wall. Jimmy's eyes widened but he decided to stay out of it, he couldn't fight for the life of him.

“Hey man, cool it, I didn't know she wasn't single, I broke up with her yesterday,” Roy raised his hands and spoke quickly; he wasn't much of a fighter either. Tony had a raised fist but he never got a chance to swing it. He felt a pair of arms wrap around his neck as someone jumped on him from behind holding his arm back so he couldn't hurt Roy.

“Don't!” He kept yelling. “Don't hurt him!” Tony was being choked and had long forgotten about Roy as he tried to pry the small, skinny arms off of him. He finally succeeded and swung the small body around slamming it against the wall mercilessly.

“You little punk!” He spat. But when his eyes locked with the other's he was suddenly silent, as was Nathan. Tony blinked for a moment, realizing that he had suddenly fallen into a trance. Nate, on the other hand had liked the way Tony had looked at him, and lifted a hand, caressing Tony's cheek. Tony's breath hitched when he felt the smooth, pale, thin had brush against his face. Nate leaned forward and brushed his nose up against Tony's; he wanted a kiss.

“Tony,” Tom cleared his throat. Tony stepped back from Nate and turned his head immediately. Nathan let his head fall and he looked down at his feet, none of the cute boys ever liked him. He sighed in disappointment, assuming Tony was straight.

“Well then,” Randy said. “Tony, this is Nathan Arazel, Jim Hauke, and Roy Elyria,” He pointed them out. “Guys, this is Tony Reynolds,” He jammed a hand in his pocket. Tony looked up at Roy for a split second and then looked away, he suddenly wasn't in the mood to kick the shit out of someone.

“Hi, I'm Nate,” Nathan stepped forward and stuck out a hand. Tony looked up at him shyly, but shook his hand anyway, that kid had an angel's eyes. Shane put a hand on Tony's shoulder from behind and stepped up beside him.

“You're blushing, buddy,” He chuckled in a whisper. Tony only blushed deeper and let his mouth fall open, looking down at his hands as he flexed his fingers trying to stop them from shaking.

“Are you okay?” Nate asked, reaching out and putting a hand on Tony's arm. Tony nodded and took deep breaths; he'd always been so smooth with girls, able to keep his cool. This one wasn't exactly a girl but it was having a similar effect, but this time he couldn't hide it.

“Randy, while you mess with your people I'm gonna go out…”

“Jesus Christ!” Shane shouted, his mouth hanging open as he pointed straight at the man's face. His right I was missing. Shane was expecting an eye patch or a false eye or something but this guy just had a few stitches holding his eyelids together. Paine gave him an irritated look; most people had a rather surprised effect of meeting him, but none so bad as this man's.

“You must be Paine,” Shane put a hand to his chest and made sure his heart was still beating. “Haven't you ever considered an eye patch or something, that's just scary,” He swallowed. Paine blinked and turned back toward Randy to finish what he was saying.

“I'm gonna go out and get some more stuff,” He clenched a twenty dollar bill in his hand. How could anyone be so rude? This guy didn't know how horrible it made him feel when he was insulted about his appearance, but still.

“Nice to meet you,” He waved to Shane slowly and then turned to leave. “Roy,” He nodded, as he had also just met Roy Elyria. Roy had been different though when he saw Paine's eye, he hadn't exactly acted as though he didn't see anything wrong, but he didn't seem to care, or make any assumptions. He liked Roy.

“Shane, next time, shut your fat mouth,” Tony mumbled under his breath.

“Sorry,” Shane swallowed; he had in fact noticed that Paine didn't seem to truly consider meeting him as a `nice' experience. Little did he know he was too late to apologize, Paine already had his grudge, and one he did he hardly ever let go of it.

“All right,” Randy said. “I want you three idiots to tell me why you're here fast, and then get the hell out,” Randy leaned against the wall, crossing his arms.

“Well,” Tom swallowed. “Marty said that we're supposed to tell you that if you give him a…”

“I'm not giving him a loan,” Randy laughed; he'd almost already known what this was about. He picked up a newspaper and headed into the next room.

“No, please Randy, just listen,” Tom followed him, Tony and Shane slowly coming along as well. “Marty said that if you lend him a thousand dollars…”

“A thousand dollars! What does he think I am a god damned charity?” Randy scoffed.

“He'll give you three thousand in return after our next job, please, he's begging you,”

“Get out Tom!” Randy pointed at the door.

“No, Randy, please! Marty said that if you don't help…”

“Marty,” Randy took Tom by the shoulder. “Well I got a little message for Marty!” He pulled his gun and stuck it straight against Tom's stomach.

“No! Randy don't…!” Tony yelled. The gun went off twice. Shane was frozen in awe as he saw the blood soaking through Tom's white shirt on his back. Tom's mouth hung open and he stared at the wall blankly as he fell to his knees, leaning against Randy's leg and clutching the sides of his shirt. Randy was his friend; they'd known each other for so long, how could he do such a thing, to kill him, he hadn't even done anything wrong? Tom was married, he was going to have seven kids and a puppy and live in a big house by a lake, have cookouts every Friday and go fishing on the weekends.

He buried his face in Randy's thigh as he felt himself slowly dying. Randy let him hang there as he cried, clinging to him. He was seconds from death, his life was flashing before his eyes, everything, his future, his children, all that was supposed to happen to him was turned to dust.

“Was that really necessary?” Tony said silently. Tom died right after he finished, his hands fell from Randy's shirt and as Randy stepped out of the way he fell flat on his face.

“It only takes one man to deliver a message,” Randy wiped the blood that was on his hand on his shirt. “But if you two are out of here in the next thirty seconds I'll let you both live,” Randy was dead serious about it, he made it clear. With that, both Tony and Shane started slowly making there way towards the door. “Tell Marty that I'm not giving him any fucking money for starters, and tell him that we're no longer affiliated. Things are the way they should have always been.” He said. “And tell him that if he'd showed up again instead of sending you idiots, he would've gotten the bullets,” He finished. Tony and Shane both hurried out after he was finished, neither of them could really memorize what Randy had said, they were in too much shock.

They'd both seen people die before, especially Tony. Even their friends had died in the army. But this time no one was fighting for anything, Tom died for nothing, he died for a couple of bucks that they didn't even get. Tony was even more surprised, he knew what Randy had done in the past, and what he was capable of, what he enjoyed. But never once did he expect him to do something like what he'd just done, Marty was going to faint.

Marty just happened to be walking by the front window when the car pulled back into his driveway, much earlier than he originally expected. He could only assume from that that he hadn't got his loan, Randy had probably kicked him out as soon as any of them mentioned it. He sighed and took a drink of chocolate milk, he should've known Randy wouldn't have changed his mind. When only two people exited the car, Tony and Shane, he got a strange feeling in his gut that told him everything was about to go to hell.

He opened the door immediately while they were still walking up the porch step and took when step out. Tony's face turned white and he swallowed, he didn't want to have to be the one to break the news to Marty, but Shane probably was even less comfortable with it.

“Where's Tom?” He asked, he knew something was wrong by the expressions on their faces.

“He's dead,” Tony's voice fell silent. “Randy shot `im,” He looked away. Marty turned white now, a pale ghost white, shocked and devastated by the answer.

“Son of a bitch,” Marty cursed under his breath. Tom may have been the last person he gave a damn about, and boy did he give a damn.

“I'm sorry Marty, I didn't expect it, I couldn't stop him,” Tony said. Marty nodded but said nothing, Tom wasn't supposed to mean that much, no one was supposed to mean much to Marty Kraws. But he was speechless none-the-less, how would he tell Lily?

Shane sighed and stepped forward, wrapping his arms around Marty's body and pulling him into a hug. He was just used to hugging people when he felt like they needed a hug, it didn't occur to him that Marty didn't want to be sympathized. Marty didn't push him off though, he actually hesitated, but hugged back, resting his chin on Shane's shoulder. He was curious of the boy's behavior, after all he barely knew this man, but whether he would admit to wanting it or not he needed a hug. He didn't sniffled, sob, or cry, he just stared into nothingness as the near stranger held him closely.

“He died pretty fast,” Shane said slowly. “Hardly a minute before the pain stopped,” He stepped back from the hug, patting Marty on the shoulder.

“Okay,” Marty nodded and turned to go back inside. Tom was the only thing he cared about, yet he still felt okay, perhaps he really was emotionless.

“I should get going, Natalie's probably wondering where I am. If you guys need anything here, call me,” Shane said to Tony. Tony nodded and waved to Shane as he headed toward his own car, which he'd driven there originally. Tony sighed and stepped inside the house after Marty was already up the stairs and out of site, they'd really fucked up.

A/N- Here we go 8D. Early, once again. It's a bit short but it seemed like a good place to end the chapter. Not to mention I have two known readers now 8D, so I better get my updates in extra fast. Reviewers really do encourage me to update more often, to know someone is reading what I write really is nice, and it makes me want to keep going. Nate and Tony end up having the most interesting relationship, at least in my opinion. Nate is so cute, xD, he loves his Tonyboy. Shane was a bit of an asshole in this chapter, but he made up for it when he hugged Marty < 333. It takes guts to hug a serial killer. Don't worry, you'll all see the serial killer side of Marty soon, he's been pretty calm in the past. I think you might be able to guess who at least one of the bad guys is now ;).
