Emily the Missing
You may notice that there is one star missing. Emily Bellman. Why
isn't she in this movie? This the honeymoon over between her and
Andy? Was she too busy? It's none of those. She actually can't
physically be here. The actress has been banned from the Grand
Hyatt Hotel. There is a little story behind that. It goes a little
something like this.
One Year Earlier...
Emily took a break from her superstar life. It was supposed to be a
three-day, two-night stay. Emily checked in under a fake name. She
even paid in cash. The actress came alone. No fancy vehicles. No
entourage. No phone or technology. It was just supposed to be Emily
Bellman herself. She got a suite that faced the city. That first
day, nothing much happened. She didn't go out on the town or party.
She didn't go out and tour the city. (Why would she want to do
that?) No, Emily just unpacked her things and went to sleep. She
didn't even have dinner.
The morning started off rather chill. She stayed in her room, took
a shower, and watched a little TV. Andy was okay with this. In
fact, he was the one who suggested the Grand Hyatt in the first
place.
"Are you sure about this?" she asked.
"Yeah," he said. "You earned it." That was all that he would say.
Emily didn't question it. Why would she? This was her vacation. So
far, everything had been calm.
It all happened on the second night.
Emily decided to go out for the evening. Nothing really special.
Just out for drinks. She would be alone. At least, that's how it
started out. Now, there are many details that led up to the
offending incident. Here is the shortened version:
Emily had a few drinks. She met a guy. They hit it off. It didn't
take long either. Maybe because there was alcohol involved. (Go
figure.) She invited him back to her room. How could he say no? By
the time they got back to the room around one or two in the
morning. Most of the night staff had gone to bed at the time. Emily
turned to kiss her date. She whispered something in his ear. He
chuckled in response. They made it to the elevator. This is where
everything gets hazy.
Witnesses have different things to say. They all agreed they saw
the couple walking down the hall. She kept leaning on him, kissing
on the cheek. They went into her room. Some say they heard her
yelling. Other say it was him. There was a fight in the room. One
of them stormed out. More screaming followed. There might have been
a fight. Something else happened. And there was a fire. Oh yes.
Everyone can confirm that Emily was the one who set the fire. Why
did she do it? There really wasn't a motive given. Emily probably
doesn't even remember doing it. What about the fire? Oh don't
worry. It wasn't big. Just a little one that was easily put out.
The police and fire fighters weren't happy though.
Needless to say, Emily Bellman has a lifetime ban from the Grand
Hyatt Hotel. Hence why she's not in this movie. But the show must
go on.
