Chapter 1

The Begging

Setting: House in suburbs

May: Uh 6:00 a.m. already, day came to soon.

Mom: May come down here.

May: Coming mom!

Sara: Hey Mom what's for breakfast?

Mom: Same thing we have every day.

Sara: Oh Great Bacon and Eggs.

Mom: If you're going to complain don't ask okay.

Sara: Okay I won't ask anymore.

May: Hey mom how's it going?

Sara: Hey sis.

May: Hey weasel.

Mom: That's no way to talk to your sister, and things are fine okay.

May: Cool, Mom hey are we doing anything after school?

Mom: No why do you ask?

May: Just wondering.

Mom: Okay then.

Sara: Mom can you help me do my hair before we go?

Mom: Sure.

Sara: Thanks mom.

May: Mom can you hurry up my ride will be here soon.

Mom: I'll try and hurry.

Sara: Hey sis can I borrow you old red and black skirt?

May: No you ruin all my old stuff like the pink shirt I lent you it's ruined because of you.

Sara: Please I'll take care of it I promise.

May: That's what you said about my blue sweat jacket and you ruin that to.

Mom: Aren't you being to hard on her?

May: No it's the truth she ruins all my stuff.

Setting: A few minutes later eating breakfast

May: Breakfast was great mom I got to go okay.

Mom: Sure see you later.

Sara: Bye sis.

Sara: Shall we go up to do my hair?

Mom: Sure.

Sara: Yay.

Mom: Come on.

Setting: School May starts walking in

Emily: Hey May.

May: Hey Emily how's it going?

Emily: Fine.

May: Hey did you do the homework for English class.

Emily: Yes did you?

May: Yes I did.

Sammy: Hey you to.

May: Hey Sammy what's going on man?

Sammy: Nothing what's up with you?

May: Nothing.

Emily: So Sammy you seem happy today.

Sammy: I am, Kimmy finally talked to me today.

May: Kimmy the girl you want more than anything?

May: Sammy and Kimmy siting in a tree...

Sammy: Shut up right now.

Emily: Funny.

May: I know right.

Sammy: Will you two give it a rest okay.

May: Okay we will.

Emily: Come on you two we better get going.

May: Right.

Setting: PE Class

May: Emily do you think we were to hard on Sammy?

Emily: Nope I don't he likes her and we know it.

Teacher: Okay girls today we going to play basketball.

May: Oh Great basketball again.

Emily: Will you be keep it down I'm trying to hear her speak.

Teacher: Okay girls we going to start doing layups you must make 5 of them to past on to the next stage now let's go.

May: Here goes nothing.

May throws the ball towards the net and makes the layup.

Teacher: Nice shot May!

Emily: Wow that was amazing.

The rest of the girls make their first and May gets ready for her second shot which she makes no problem the other all make theirs as well except for Kristy and Emily. It then comes back to May who sinks her next shot.

Teacher: Wow May I've never seen that before in all my years of being here.

May: Why thank you.

Teacher: May can I see you after class I want to talk to you.

May: Okay.

The girls make the next set of five including May who made all five of hers first before any of the girls in the class.

Setting: Office of May's teacher

May: You wanted to see me?

Teacher: Yes May you were really great today, I was wondering if you considered trying out for the basketball team?

May: No not really why?

Teacher: You should you have talent you would be a great player.

May: Okay look I got to go but I'll keep it in mind.

Teacher: Okay May tryouts are on Thursday after school in the gym.

May: Okay.

Teacher: I hope to see you there.

May: Bye.

Setting: After school May and friends are talking

Sora: So what did the PE Teacher want?

May: She wanted to know if I wanted to try out for the basketball team.

Emily: Why would she want you to do that?

May: She said you have talent.

Sora: Why would she say that?

May: Because I made all 5 of my layups in a row.

Sora: You gonna do it?

May: Do what go out for the team?

Emily: Ya we think you should.

Sora: Ya we do.

May: I will have to talk to my parents about it to see what they said.

Setting: Walking home the 3 girls make it to May's house.

May: Bye Guys.

Emily: Remember what we said.

Sora: Bye May.

Sammy: Hey May can I talk to you for a sec?

May: Sure what's up?

Sammy: It's Kimmy she asked me out.

May: Way to go Sammy.

Sammy: Thanks but now what do I do I've never been on a date before.

May: Just be yourself.

Sammy: My self?

May: You know the real you.

Sammy: You mean like I am every day right?

May: Ya now you got it.

Sammy: Thanks May great talk.

May: Thanks for asking, oh and good luck Sammy.

Sammy: Thanks I need that bye May.

May: Bye Sammy.

May walks in side her house to ask her parents about joining the basketball team, as she walks in she sighs and dreads what her parents might say.
