"You have anything better bloodsucker!?"
"Yea" he pulled out a piece of paper and wrote down three words; human, demon, vampire "Take the first two letters of each and what does it spell?"

‘RIIIIIIING RIIIIIIING RIIIIIIIING!’ The phone rang persistently I heard some shuffling then growling, oh god how I hate Mondays.
Who am I you may ask? People call me many things, ‘gifted’, delusional, ghost hunter, oh but my absolute favorite, freak. But you dear reader may call me by my name (yea I have that too how do ya like that) Madison, Madi as my two devils for roommates call me. I’m 16 years old, with blond hair and deep blue eyes. Oh and before I forget I can see ghosts. I could for the longest time. In fact my parents left me because of that, thought I was a delusional freak, heh wait until they meet my roommates.
“Madi phone” I heard a groan from the bunk underneath me and felt the antenna of the wireless phone poking my side. I growl in annoyance and lazily roll over snatching the phone. That was Renee, as much of a morning person as I am as you can tell. After I grabbed the phone I bet you she rolled back under the covers to go back to sleep. She has all the makings of a regular human being but she’s really not.
She’s a demon.
No she literally is a demon.
How do I know this? Well I’m looking at her right now and she has a tail and cat ears with one ear cuff on her left ear as well as one long fang that sticks out of her mouth on the left side of her face.
“Hello?” I asked lazily putting the phone to my ear.
“You have a case Deluda” As I heard a loud sarcastic voice from the other end, I groaned loudly. That’s my boss on the phone; he’s the chief of police yada yada crap like that. The meanest man you will ever meet, he seems to enjoy my pain…a lot! Evil bastard! In case you don’t know, I’m a detective.
“Madison it’s not that hard” I snarl I heard Renee groan below me.
“A case? Tell that bastard to figure it out for himself” She snarled curling up under the blankets.
“Do it or you’re fired Deluda, meet your guide at the station, he’ll accompany you and assist you with the case” he growled then hung up.
“Bastard” I muttered kicking up the covers, Renee did the same her brown hair all mused from sleep.
“I hate that man” she groaned her yellow eyes with slits for pupils surrounded with dark circles as she got dressed.
“How about this, we go solve the case then go home and sleep” I suggest putting on a fresh (I think) shirt.
“Aaron won’t let me though” Renee wined
Oh that’s right my other roommate/partner. We walk into our living room to as usual find him hanging upside down his eyes closed. Yea you heard right, he sleeps upside down on my ceiling. He has pale skin and short silver hair. He opened his purple eyes when he heard us approach and smiled showing off his perfect white fangs.
Yep Aaron is a vampire.
“Good morning Madi, Flea bag” he smirked referring to Renee.
“And a lovely morning to you Bloodsucker” she snarled pouring herself a cup of coffee. Ah a holy gift from the gods.
Aaron jumped down from the ceiling and walked over to me. “I take it we have a mission seeing as you two woke up earlier than usual”
I sighed, gratefully taking the coffee Renee offered me “Yea we’ll probably be briefed when we get to the station”
“Ah it must be an occult cause”
Before I could answer Renee did. “Of course it’s occult! They never call us for anything else which is fine by me, I’m bored anyways” Amazing how quickly she gains energy after her cup of coffee.
Aaron rolled his eyes. “Humph distasteful pig-headed flea bag”
“Excuse Me” Renee growled. I sigh loudly they always got into fights due to their racial differences, Demons considered Vampires to be cruel and cowardly due to their eating methods, and their desire to never fight. While Vampires considered Demons to be filthy, and stupid due to their fighting style, and warrior like ways.
But deep down I knew that Aaron was no blood thirsty coward and Renee was far from a filthy, idiot. And deep down they do too. But they would much rather die than let each other know that.
“You heard me flea bag” he smirked walking away. Oh now was when it’s gets amusing.
“You call me flea bag but we all know who the real filth is, was your last meal tasty bloodsucker”
Low blow, a very low blow But Aaron acted as cool as a cucumber as he always did.
“Yes very much so, I think it was a demon” he smirked picking his teeth with a nail. “Very tasty but a little too hot blooded” Ok now is when I intervene Renee was no good at keeping her cool at all.
“Uh guys mission, I would prefer it if you didn’t kill each other” I notice the room getting warmer. “And if you burn down my apartment again Renee I will kill you” I snarled
Renee sighed then the room cooled off. Aaron smirked “I guess I win for today eh flea bag?”
Renee glared at him as she walked past him to get her trench coat and hat. Why? Well if you saw a girl with cat ears and a tail you’d be freaked out wouldn’t you. “Let’s go” she snarled “I need to take my rage out on something”
I nod putting my cup in the sink and follow quickly after her. Aaron gracefully followed closing and locking the door behind him.

“Oh wow who’s that hot guy over there” I hear a random voice whisper to her friend. Uh-oh this will not lighten Renee’s mood at all. Aaron walking beside me heard the compliment and smiled seductively at the girl who said it, giving her a wink. I heard a thump meaning the poor girl just fainted making Aaron chuckle.
“I think I have dinner for tonight” He smirked walking over to the girl. I waited for him while Renee continued walking pretending she heard nothing but if I heard it with my less sensitive human ears then she had to of heard it with her cat ears.
It was hot out so people thought Renee was crazy for wearing a trench coat and hat. That must have been torture hearing how wonderful Aaron looks then to hear whispers about how weird that ‘thing’ walking beside him was. I was already getting sick of it.
I walk up and match my pace with Renee’s which was hard considering she wanted to get as far away from Aaron as possible.
“Hey don’t worry Renee once this is over you can do whatever you want”
“Hm…” I look over and see a pout on her face it was kinda funny seeing as how you couldn’t see her yellow eyes behind the sunglasses.
“Fine how about after this we’ll go to Central Park” I know for a fact that her eyes were brightened by this. She loved central park because 1) There were trees and 2) on Mondays it was isolated with only old people so if anyone reported seeing a cat girl they would just think they had too many meds.
“Ok that’s fine” She grinned her mood instantly lightened. Aaron materialized himself in between me and Renee making us both jump.
“GAH! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!!” Renee hissed
Aaron smirked “Central park huh? Sounds fun mind if I join you two”
“No you’re not invited” She frowned sticking her tongue out at him.
“Last I checked I didn’t need your permission to go into central park”
“Why would you wanna go with us don’t you have a dinner date to attend to?” Renee smirked I sighed rubbing my neck I hate the thought of that.
“Yes but unfortunately I don’t have her for tonight she’s busy, so that means I’m free till Saturday”
“God my week from hell” Renee growled messaging her temples, people were starting to stare so I got behind them acting like I didn’t know them.
After what felt like an eternity we finally got to the station and STILL those two were fighting, god you would think that living for a thousand years would breed maturity. I know what you’re thinking, and no vampires and demons do age, just not in the normal way. In demon/vampire years they are both considered 18 but in human years they’re like 2500. I think I dunno it’s too early to do math.
Anyways walking in I notice someone I didn’t recognize in an NYPD uniform. He was young about 20 with well managed blond hair and nervous green eyes. Well what do ya know, someone actually believes in that ‘retire with full benefits and half pay’ crap. Heh heh this poor guy looks like he’s gonna piss himself I guess people in trench coats will do that to you.
“W-who are you three?” he asked reaching for his gun. Renee and Aaron instantly shut up.
“I take it you’re new?” Renee asked hands on her hips.
“And I also take it they didn’t explain us?”
The new guy jumped back a bit startled by the female and strangely smooth voices. “Uh yea…” he said taking his hand away from the gun. I walk up to the front holding out my badge.
“Detective Madison Deluda these two are my assistants Renee and Aaron” I said pointing at each one. Renee smiled and Aaron smirked.
“And you are?” I asked he blinked a little surprised that the detectives were so young.
“Um…Robert Haytel and yes this is my first case”
“Excuse me?” I asked my mouth slightly a gape. “That bas- Chief is putting you in this case?” I asked biting back my insult.
Robert nodded. “He said in case you needed the support”
I could hear both Renee and Aaron growl. No matter what race, you could still agree that was an insult to your strength.
Robert blinked, “Why is that bad? I mean considering how young you are and all”
I could hear Aaron chuckle and Renee laugh.
“What?” he asked a little offended that they were laughing.
“Nothing” Aaron smirked “I’m just thinking that this isn’t the job for you Robert”
“Huh? But I-” he stuttered then glared at Aaron gathering up his confidence. “You think I don’t know how dangerous it is to be a cop, my dad died in the line of duty, I told myself that if I wanted to live my life I want to live it protecting this city”
I blinked at this feeling a strange pang in my heart. “That’s very noble of you Robert but…You don’t know the other danger of being a cop”
“And besides I don’t think your late father would want to know you resigned your fate, life, and heart to this city” Renee said her face somber for once.
Robert glared then clenched his fist. “I don’t care this is my life and I’ll do what I want now c’mon I’m supposed to drive you to the crime scene” he snarled storming past us to get to his police car. He stepped in on the driver’s side and slammed the door
Renee sighed then looked at me for what we should do. I sighed “well what are your opinions?”
“I say we let him, he’s got guts and his hearts in the right place” Renee smiled her sharp tooth sticking out of her smile “I kinda have a soft spot for the guy”
“I disagree; we can’t afford to waste out time and effort protecting him” Aaron sighed, “Even if he does live then he’ll probably never be sane again”
Renee sighed “You always have to be so negative blood sucker”
“I can’t help it” he grinned showing off his fangs “I’m told its part of my nature”
Renee smirked and turned towards me. “Well it’s all on you as usual Madi, what’s the plan?”
I sighed exhausted “We warned him he seems to have his heart determined on being an NYPD so let him do what he wants?”
Aaron sighed and Renee beamed. “WILL YOU GUYS HURRY UP!!?” Robert yelled honking the horn.
“The nerve of that guy giving us orders” Renee snorted as she walked to the car. “I call shot gun” She smirked opening the passenger side door and sliding in.
“Good I don’t want to sit next to filth like you anyways” Aaron smirked as he practically glided into the backseat of the car. Renee flipped him off.
“Better get used to sitting back there bloodsucker, it’s your future”
“Seriously you two shut up I’m not dealing with a car ride that consists of you two shouting insults at each other” I snarl pushing myself in, not quite as graceful as Aaron.
Robert put the key in the ignition and started up the car and pulling out of the police parking lot. He turned to Renee and her trench coat. “You must be hot in that would you like to take that off?”
Renee turned to him and smiled. “Sorry but I have to keep this on until we get to somewhere without people”
“Why?” he asked.
Renee thought about it for a second then smirked. “Because I’m so sexy I need this coat to protect myself against potential rapists”
“Uh-huh?” Robert sweat dropped nervously it took everything I had not to laugh.
Aaron rolled his eyes then muttered “Trust me you’re not that attractive”
“Oh you know you want me Aaron” she turned around and pulled down her sunglasses slightly so she could wink at him.
“Ew that is rather frightening thought, I think I’d rather vomit” he shivered a bit making Renee glare at him, turn around and sink into her chair.
“Bastard” she muttered.
Robert laughed a bit as I rubbed my temples. “I take it Mondays are always like this for you?”
“Yea my life, all wrapped in a tiny car” I sighed making him laugh.
“Well it’s not much further guys so be patient”
“Oh I hate sitting in a car they go so slow” Renee wined angrily.
Robert took a quick glance at the speedometer. “But we’re going 90 mph”
“That’s supposed to be fast?” she asked her head cocked to the side, Robert looked flabbergasted while Aaron and I slapped our foreheads.
“Yes Renee that is fast” I said feeling the need to choke her.
“Oh ok, it’s too slow for me” she grinned.
Aaron reached through the bars and smacked her on the head. “Shut up moron”
“Ow what was that for?” She snarled
“Uh guys we’re here” Robert sweat dropped as he stepped out of the car. We all followed stepping out of the car and into what looked like a cemetery.
“Well how pleasant” Renee twitched eyes darting left to right.
“Ah paradise” Aaron smirked tempted to scare the hell out of Renee.
I wrinkled my nose; I never cared much for cemeteries myself due to my ability. This place was teeming with ghosts I was the only one who could see them though. They were all floating drifting and churning all over the place.
“The spirits are restless, something spooked them” I said lightly touching a gravestone. Robert looked confused while the other two looked with interest.
“What spooked them?”
“They won’t say they’re too frightened” I said lightly standing up. “Oh sorry Robert I probably should explain, I can see ghosts and I can manipulate their energy to form well anything, weapons, shields. You name it I can do it” I grinned “That’s why I usually take these kinds of cases”
He still looked skeptical so I figured it’s time to show him an example. “Observe” I sighed holding out my hand. I focused hard on my palm then in my vision I saw the restless spirits freeze and gather around us. The ghosts dematerialized and formed into particles which then began to gather into the center of my palm creating a blue glowing ball. Robert looked a combination of scared and amazed.
“Can I touch it?” He asked reaching toward the blue. I pulled it away.
“If you wish to lose that hand then yes you may?”
“Never mind” he muttered pulling his hand away. Then he glanced over at Renee and Aaron, whispering to me. “Can they do that too?”
I laugh and shake my head. “Nope their not gifted like that”
Robert nodded then smiled, “It’s still pretty cool though I wish I had a gift like that”
I shook my head “No you don’t”
“Huh?”
“Hey Robby what exactly is our case?” Renee asked deciding to intervene. I smile at her and whisper my thanks knowing she could hear it.
“Well it seems that there have been some disappearances regarding the people who live here, and while we didn’t find any bodies this was where neighbors reported last seeing them”
“I see any pattern to the disappearances?”
“Just one, they were all females between the ages of 16-25”
“Hmm…interesting” I said thoughtfully. “How many?”
“20 in two weeks”
Renee’s mouth hung open “In two weeks?! Damn!”
Aaron eyes were wide. “It’s more than one, that’s not good”
“What are you talking about?”
Aaron grinned at Robert showing his fangs. “Tell me Robert do you believe in Vampires”
Robert’s face got exceedingly pale then he backed away tripping over a gravestone. “Va-vampires don’t exist!!” He stuttered, making Aaron chuckle.
“Oh I assure you we do; we’ve existed for many years. But don’t worry I mean no harm, I never killed anyone” He smirked looking around “Yet”
Oh poor Robert looked as if he was about to piss himself again. This poor guy will never be right again.
“Don’t worry Robert most vampires actually don’t kill people we only drink enough blood to keep us alive, but how ever there are usually a few who rather just kill humans, they consider themselves superior to all other life forms including us Antis as they call us”
“But if you are a vampire why are you out in the sun?”
Aaron smirked wagging his finger “That’s a very common misconception, we don’t get repelled by garlic, silver and I must say I can see my reflection quite nicely” He laughed looking at his reflection in a pond.
“So that’s what we’re dealing with a vampire?” Robert asked a little scared he was not expecting this.
“Either a very hungry one or more than one” I said looking over at Renee. “Hey Renee scan the area and come back when you find something alive”
“Yes Ma’am” She mock saluted and took off at break neck speed.
“Think she’ll find anything?” Robert asked amazed.
“She will us vampires are very easy to detect” Aaron grinned “Especially when we’re thirsty”
Renee’s POV
I’ve always been one for a good fight I always hate this part of the job where we have to figure out who did it go find them, yada yada yada. The damn bloodsucker enjoys this type of work but not me.
I stopped at this old house that was most likely built for the caretaker, the scent of Vampire all over this place. This has to be it, but just to be sure I do a quick run around the place sniffing. Yep this is it, strangely I only smell one vampire in there. Heh I don’t need to go back for that, I can handle one measly vampire.
I open the door careful to keep my guard up. I take a quick sniff; it’s on the second floor.
Carefully I creep up the stairs, and then walk down the hallway. Light was streaming in from outside and I could see shattered remnants litter the floor.
Ominous…
“W-who’s there?” A meek voice spoke out from a room that smelled of the vampire. I looked in and see a pale girl with long black hair and scared purple eyes. She was tied up to a chair and in the fading light I could see the fangs.
“A vampire” I muttered getting ready to attack but as soon as she heard it she looked scared.
“No I’m an Anti please you have to get out of here before they get you too” She looked sickly…well more so then a vampire should look. She was withered too like she hadn’t eaten anything, this wasn’t our vampire, I sighed as I relaxed my guard.
“Who’s ‘they’?”
Before I got an answer I felt a mind numbing pain in my back. Suddenly waves of smaller pain shot through my body numbing my body as it went. I felt my knees give way and I fell to the ground my body doing involuntary twitches. Yep I got electrocuted.
“Hey look at this boss she don’t smell like a cold one” A rather crazed voice laughed. That nickname ‘cold one’ that was the nickname most demons used to refer to vampires.
Of course a demon how could I have overlooked that possibility? I can’t detect demons with my sense of smell the bad news is neither could they?
“But she’s not human or she’d be dead by now” a smooth voice questioned he was clearly the leader.
“What’s with this get up anyhow she looks like a detective from the 50s” A female voice giggled. Three of them and I was at their mercy seeing as how my nerves have just been frayed by oh what was that 20,000 volts? Hmm…give or take.
“Well my bait it’s good to see you still alive” The leader grinned strolling over to the poor vampire girl. “But you must be so hungry”
I could now see his details clearly, or as clearly as I could at the moment. He had short brown hair and electric blue eyes. I could see the outline of fox ears and a tail. Figures foxes were extremely clever, but had odd superiority complexes. Most controlled fire but this one wielded the purest form of fire, electricity, meaning one person.
“General…Hiko…..Sumade” I muttered as best as I could with great difficulty.
Hiko looked back on me stunned. “You’ve…heard of me”
“I’d…be…a shitty…demon…if I didn’t” I groaned in pain as an aftershock shot through me.
“An ally, crap, what the hell are you doing here?” he snarled coming up to me.
Good he considered me an ally maybe I can wheedle some information. “You know just figured I’d take a stroll when I smelled a v…Cold one” I corrected myself quickly the shock was wearing off. The other two that were standing they were also fox demons but they had yellow eyes like me, signifying fire. The girl had red hair while the male had and eye patch over his one eye and long wild black hair. Boy that guy looked like a real character, an insane one. I glanced over at the girl vampire she looked pathetic, shivering violently, Vampire or not I had to get her out of here, she was about to die.
“Weren’t you warned of our turf?” He asked skeptic.
Shit gonna have to sweet talk. “No I was not, brilliant plan by the way Hiko, using vampires as bait to lure others into your trap” I smirked “Kinda figured it was your idea, is this part of the plan to exterminate all vampires?”
“Yes but in case you’ve forgotten, we call them cold ones” he snarled glancing at the other two. “Juko take care of them” The insane one nodded pointing his gun at me. Shit
I swiftly dodged the fire bullets but the only problem with fire bullets; even if you dodge it really makes no difference. The floor where the bullet hit was starting to catch fire.
“What’s the meaning of this Hiko?” I snarled maybe he didn’t know who I was yet.
“Well I’d rather no one but myself take credit for this so yes I’m going to end your life” He glared at the girl. “Both of you”
The girl shivered and looked down. She was indeed frightened out of her mind but at the moment my hands were tied up at the moment Juko made it a point to not let me close enough to let her go.
Well to most it would seem like there was no way through but I knew better. This was gonna hurt.
“YAAAAAAH!!” I screamed as I charged toward Juko who looked too stunned at first to do anything but then proceeded to fire his gun.
“Hehehe Die, die!” he screamed as multiple shots hit me in the arms causing searing pain. One hit me right between the eyes causing the sunglasses to snap in half. My clothes were catching fire but I ignored it, the vampire was my only concern right now as the flames licked against her skin.
I fell backwards after one more shot to the head and I could hear the insane laughter “He he I killed her, she’s dead” That’s what you think.
I stood back up weakly the sleeves of my coat burned and my face bloody. “Hey vampire, hold on a second I’ll be right there” the Vampire girl looked stunned.
“Stop it!” she cried with what sounded like the last of her strength. “Why are you protecting me demon?” she growled “I don’t understand”
“You don’t have to, I’m the one rescuing you so sit still and shut up” I snarled, “Let’s just say I owe a certain vampire a favor for saving my ass” I grinned as best as I could, the blood from my forehead was dripping down to the ground and I saw Hiko raise an eyebrow.
“You…owe a cold one?!” Hiko asked as if it was the most intriguing thing.
“Yea he’s a jackass but he saved my life and he wasn’t what I thought a vamp to be at all, I pictured them to be cold, and most of the time he is” I shrugged “But deep down he cares about others and hates it when others get hurt”
“Hehehe who cares about the vampire boy, the traitor will be dead anyways” The Juko grinned pulling out his gun “Debt repaid”
I snarled and charged forwards again claws extended at his neck. He was spending so much time concentrating on the claws he didn’t see where my leg was. BAM! There go his children.
He bent over his precious jewels and I ran (ok limped from my noble battle scars) over to the girl, cutting the ropes free. “There now I know it’s a long shot but I need you to jump out that window and look for three friends of mine, one is an anti vampire black hair, a human girl blond with blue eyes and a human boy in a cop outfit they should still be in the cemetery, right by a pond tell them Renee sent you got it?”
“O-ok, but what about you?”
“Awww don’t sweat it I’ll be fine we demons have hard heads” I laughed “now go hurry I’ll cover you”
“Ok” She nodded smiling “Thank you Renee” she smiled jumping out the window, I saw the female demon stalk forward prepared to chase after her. But I stood in front of her blocking her way.
“Nope sorry vampires only” I smirked holding my hands forward summoning my weapon; a flaming sword.
The demon smirked, “You think you can stop us with that?” she laughed “Give it up inspector gadget” Oh real clever never heard that one before.
“I never intended to stop you” I smirked “but thanks to your psycho of a boyfriend, I can at least slow you down” I grinned changing my grip on the sword. “KA-KIN-RYU!!” I screamed stabbing my sword into the weak floorboards. I could feel the floor boards start to give and the demons’ eyes were wide. I smirked evilly jumped through the window as the house began to crumble, and fall to the ground nothing more than a pile of burnt wood.
I landed with a thud and a loud sickening crack. Ow yep that was my left leg. How am I still alive now, I mean the pain is extremely excruciating I should at least be falling into unconscious…oh wait no there it is. I think as my eyes start to slip into darkness but as I fade I see a pair of electric blue and yellow eyes.
Damn their still alive please hurry Madi, Bloodsucker I sigh as I give in and fall into unconsciousness.
Madi’s POV
“She’s been gone for hours are you sure she’s ok?” Aaron hissed pacing back and forth. Funny, how he only worries when she’s not here.
“She’s fine Aaron she can take care of herself” But I was starting to get a little worried too. This wasn’t like Renee at all.
“You don’t think she tried to take them all by herself?” Robert asked sitting on a bench.
“If it were over five, no she wouldn’t, she’s not that stupid” Aaron growled biting his lip. Again he compliments her when she’s not here it’s amusing sometimes being neutral.
Suddenly I felt something flash into the perimeter I had set up with my ghost powers. It magnified my vision into a range where I could see anything in a certain area.
“Someone’s coming”
“Is it Renee?” Robert asked reaching for his gun just in case.
“I can’t tell it’s moving too fast and it’s not coming directly at us, like it’s looking for something”
Suddenly it stopped and I could see violet eyes.
“Vamp” I whispered to Aaron and Robert incase she could hear me.
“How many?” Aaron asked.
“One” I whispered the Vampire turned her head, she heard me.
“Robert get down” I hissed and he obliged hiding behind the bench his gun drawn.
The girl was soon in our sights but something strange she didn’t look at all hostile, just desperate. Aaron stood close in case she attacked while I gathered spirit energy to form my weapon. She saw the hostility in Aaron’s eyes then she did something unexpected she leapt forward…
And hit the ground her eyes tearing.
“Please don’t attack I mean no harm, do you know a demon named Renee?” The girl cried almost like she was pleading for mercy.
Aaron blinked “Flea bag? What happened to her?” He asked walking over to her I kept the energy in my hands in case it was a trap. Robert blinked a little disappointed to not see a fight.
“Demons, three…tried to use me as bait to lure other vampires which they would capture and use as bait while they killed me they called it plan fishing. They instead lured in your demon friend Renee and she saved me and told me to find you guys, please you have to help her she was hurt really bad and it’s all my fault” she sobbed.
“Grr that idiot” Aaron snarled “Demons setting a trap we didn’t count on that but it makes sense all the victims must have been vampires that’s why there were so many killed”
“D-demons?” Robert asked.
“It shouldn’t surprise you, if vampires exist then demons should too, they on the other hand are all hostile and evil, well all except one” I sighed rolling my eyes. Aaron chuckled at this
“Well what now?”
“Isn’t it obvious find that idiot and whack her over the head for acting like such a big shot and keeping us waiting for 2 hours” Aaron growled turning to Tess “Lead the way……shit”
She wasn’t paying any attention to Aaron now she was staring at Robert with intense hungry eyes. Uh oh
“…Blood…so hungry” she grinned evilly her fangs extending. Robert looked up scared then backed away under her intense stare.
“Wait…but-no why me?”
She about to pounce on poor Robert but Aaron held her back. By the arms I stood in front of Robert protectively.
“Food food I haven’t eaten in a month let me eat” She snarled trying to wiggle free of Aaron’s stone grip.
Aaron snarled something in a foreign language I could not understand Renee called it vamp tongue. The girls snarled something back in reply still struggling. Aaron sighed.
“What did she say?”
“She needs food now or else she’ll keel over” Aaron stated simply, then sighed again “Madi if it’s not too much trouble…”
“I understand” I nodded pulling up my sleeve Robert looked at my arm shocked. Lined all along my upper arm were vampire bite marks all of them were faded. “I’d prefer it though if I lived” I smirked.
“Wait what are you doing?” Robert asked his wide eyes staring at me. I grinned sheepishly.
“She needs blood so I’m giving her mine” I sighed then muttered “It’s all part of the job sometimes; I mean what do you think Aaron eats when he can’t get a date?”
His eyes were wide “but what if you die?”
“Usually it doesn’t kill me but if it does oh well it was a nice life” I smirked as if it was a joke. The female vampire blinked then started to sob.
“Why?” She whispered “First one then you why do you do this for your enemy?”
“Because we’re not enemies, so what if we’re of a different race, doesn’t mean we don’t feel emotions, doesn’t mean I can’t help you” I sighed holding out my arm. “Just promise me you won’t kill me, I still have my whole life ahead of me and I’d like to keep it that way” I glanced over at Robert this was something I’d think he’d rather not see. “Aaron can you make sure Robert remains innocent” I whisper Aaron nods and goes over to Robert blocking his view.
The girl walked forward taking hold of my arm.
“By the way what’s your name?” I asked trying to break the tension with small talk.
“Tess” She smiles “you?”
“Madison, but you can call me Madi” I grin “I’m just your average human in way over her head”
“Heh but you are very strong all of you, I feel proud knowing you” She smiled opening her mouth. I could feel the sharp fangs pierce my skin and a little blood trickle down. Gulp this part I don’t like.
“Robert focus only on my eyes, understand? Only mine” Aaron said his hands clamped tight onto Robert’s shoulders.
Slurp slurp EW that sound it’s the sound of your blood being sucked from your body how sick is that?
After three gulps, she licked up the remaining blood dripping down then pulled her fangs out. Quickly I gather some spirit energy and press it against the wound.
“You ok you look a little pale?” Tess laughed I grimaced slightly.
“My blood…just got drained…I may need a transfusion” I sighed leaning against Aaron’s arm for support.
“It wasn’t that much drama llama you’ll be fine” Aaron sighed hitting me over the head.
“Ok so lead the way Tess we’ll follow you” I said while pulling my sleeve down.
“Right” She nodded looking at me. “Would you like me to carry you?”
“Yea that would be great Aaron you can take Robby ok?”
“Yes Ma’am” he smirked mock bowing then lifted Robert onto his back. “You might wanna close your eyes until we get there, people tend to get motion sickness”
Ugh I was one of them.
Robert shook his head, “No thanks I’d rather keep them open, I mean, how many cops ever get the chance to ride on a vampire? So…” He smirked, “do you turn into a bat or something?”
Aaron blinked then chuckled “Well at least you have a sense of humor”
Robert laughed, “It’s required if I want to work with you guys more”
“Really you’re not scared of me” Aaron smirked, showing off his teeth.
“No I can’t be scared of vampires, or the weird ability Madi has. It’s kinda cool in a way” He laughed “But I’m a guy that’s just me, and Tess is a real hottie” he grinned “And I know you can hear me”
Tess smirked lightly “In your dreams little boy”
Well he seemed to have taken to things nicely, though it’s too soon to put faith in him, he has seen Renee yet.
As we were running through the forest I saw something yellow flash. “TESS AARON HIT THE DECK!!!” I screamed. They did so and dodged a fire bullet that was coming right for our heads.
“Oh dammit I missed” A high voice laughed in one of the trees. “What a disgrace a human and cold one I thought one of our kind would pick better companions”
“Your kind?” Robert asked
The evil demon grinned he had an eye patch and wild hair with fox ears and a tail. “Yes didn’t you know that girl is one of us, a demon, very strong too I think my mate will be disappointed” He laughed slightly. God I hated fox fire demons, they were all cocky and they enjoyed pain. Damn machinists
“Don’t you know who ‘that girl’ is?” Aaron chuckled slightly putting Robert down. “Because if you did you would not be laughing”
“I don’t need advice from a cold one” The man sneered pulling out his gun. “You will die soon anyways”
“Madi I have a kitty cat to look after will you clean this up while I look for her?” Aaron asked with a sincere smile completely ignoring the demon.
“Sure” I grinned blushing a little; I mean who couldn’t blush at that smile.
“Good Tess lead the way, do you still want to come Robert?” He asked politely.
“Sure” Robert grinned slyly walking over to Tess. Aaron stopped him.
“Get your mind out of the gutter Robert” He smirked. “I’m too much of a gentleman to let you do that”
“Awww…” Robert pouted as Aaron tossed him onto his back “You’re no fun”
Aaron laughed “Yes I am told that on a daily basis lead the way Tess” He smiled as they both ran off leaving me and the demon.
“Bah a human what can a mere human do?”
“Kick your ass that’s what” I snarled, all demons saw humans as weaklings most vampires did too. But we were their food source so we were more important to them then we were to demons. Makes sense
“You will die for crossing us, just like your friend” he sneered.
Well this was gonna be interesting.
Aaron’s POV
When we travelled a good 80 feet before we came to the ruins of a house, the wood of the house was charred black, still no Fleabag.
“Whoa is she still alive?” Robert asked seeing the ruins.
I put him down and started to sniff the area. “If she were dead then Madi would have seen her ghost”
“What about Madi will she be ok?”
I nodded, “The demon isn’t in a right mind, he’s insane and bloodthirsty, while Madi is sane in mind and sound. That demon probably was brainwashed to be an emotionless killer, sick” I sighed disgusted.
“Can you read minds?” Robert asked
“Not demons no but most human minds I can read, Madi’s an exception”
“Renee’s a demon huh?” Robert asked giving a kinda fearful look. “Is she like that?”
I looked over at him tilting my head sideways. “Does she look like a bloodthirsty killer?”
Tess answered for Robert “No she’s not; she’s strange I’ve never met a demon like her, she’s almost human”
I smiled slightly “That would make her happy to hear that”
“Aaron!” Robert called out from a tombstone. “There’s a bloodstain here”
I rushed over to the tombstone and there was indeed a red splotch of blood stained against the grey. I took in the scent memorizing it in my head, it was the flea bag. There was some bone marrow in the blood meaning she shattered her leg.
“Let’s go she’s not here” I growled sniffing the air…
No wait she is.
But she’s further down then here.
“Aaron?”
“She underground…check for a door or cave she somewhere”
Robert seemed to be thinking then suddenly something clicked. “Renee’s a fire demon, so how does one kill or weaken a fire demon”
“Water” I said the flea bag despised water with a burning passion, “But there are no rivers near here right.”
“There is actually an underground river its right under the cemetery and it comes out into the Hudson”
“Oh! So we have to look for an underground passage to the river do you know where it is then?” Tess grinned as she herself began furiously sniffing.
“Yea follow me”
Something wasn’t right I was missing something; if fleabag was in water it would wash away her scent, but I could still smell it.
I was about to follow them but something underneath was warming the spot I was standing on.
…wait I lifted the grass underneath me; it was fake grass covering freshly dug up earth.
“Hey over here help me dig!” I shouted as I heard a panicked thumping, underneath the earth in what was most likely a coffin.
Tess and Robert helped dig and sure enough there was a coffin lying under a foot of dirt. “Fleabag you can bust your way out now”
As commanded there was a sickening crack as the wood shattered and a clawed hand popped out of the coffin. Robert jumped back in fear.
“Uhn! Finally! It took you long enough, bloodsucker” the fleabag snarled glaring at me as she slipped out of the coffin.
“Sorry but there are more important things then your miserable life” I smirked the flea bag however was acting strange.
“Blood sucking bastard like I want to be saved by your kind”
I stopped for a minute glaring at the flea bag. Robert started to speak.
“Did you see who did this to you?”
She glanced at him then nodded, “We were right Bloodsucker it was definitely vampires”
“No they weren’t, vampire would do that to our own kind not even to us Antis, and I know they were Demons. You were there, you saw them” Tess blinked confused
“Oh you’re just trying to defend your own kind bloodsucker, I know what I saw and they were definitely vampires. Can’t you see this girl is trying to trick you?”
Ok now I was suspicious something wasn’t right, Robert just looked confused.
“Fleabag, look into my eyes”
“Why should-?” She started but she stopped when I clamped her throat in my hands.
“Look at me” I snarled, I very rarely got mad but this was one of my moments I suppose.
She reluctantly looked into my eyes intent on turning away after a second. But a second was all I needed as her eyes became blank. She was in a trance and as long as I focused she would stay that way.
“Let’s start with names, who are you, the demon who attacked us and the names of anyone else involved in this?”
“I am Scarlet, the demon who attacked you is my mate Juko, and we have our leader Hiko” she mumbled lifelessly her hair was changing color from brown to wild red, her cat tail puffed out with red hair and her cat ears turned red and became narrower.
“And your element?”
“Fire…except Hiko he’s an electric bender”
“Yes I have heard of Hiko he’s well known by us vampires. Where is the real Renee? And how did you fool my sense of smell?” I asked not tearing my eyes away. That last bit wasn’t really important I just had to know or I would never be able to sleep at night knowing a demon tricked my sense of smell.
“In the underground river I heard that meat bag refer to, we were well aware of you inability to smell things from underwater, so we cut the demon open and coated myself in her blood then we dug underground pulled up one of the coffins, and removed the remains. I then put myself inside then Hiko buried the coffin, while he took her body to throw in the river along with a coffin to hold her remains in. She’s probably not alive anymore anyways.”
I gritted my teeth I would never understand demons, they were more inhuman then we were. I heard Tess take in a sharp intake of breath. One more question.
“Did you know of my special ability?”
“What special ability?”
“Thought so, now sleep demon…” I whispered and her eyes became droopy and she fell asleep.
I looked over at Robert who was still shocked still confused as to what happened I sighed figuring I’d explain later seeing as how we were kinda in a hurry, “so where was that underground river again?”

When we got there I saw a man with brown hair standing on a rock over a water fall.
Son of a bitch.
He spotted me and turned so he was facing me, his eyes electric blue.
“I must say you’re rather early, I expected Scarlet and Juko to hold you a little longer.” He looked over at Tess and Robert, “Three against one, now that’s not fair cold one”
“It seemed fair when it was you three against Fleabag”
“Are you referring to one of our own kind as a fleabag?” He snarled his fur bristling.
“That’s pretty fair considering you’re trying to drown one of your own kind and sacrificed two of your teammates for time” Tess growled threateningly crouching ready to pounce.
“Now now that’s not very wise seeing as how I control lightening and…” He smirked reaching down and pulling up a chain. Eventually a hand came out of the water. Shit
The rest of the body followed, until she was level with him her eyes closed her leg swollen just below her knee, it was bent in a strange way too. The rest of her body was covered in cuts, once she was out of the water I could smell her blood she lost a lot of it. Her brown hair was soaked and flopped in front of her eyes.
“Strangely she’s still alive” he glared then suddenly smirked holding her over the water fall by one arm which also looked broken. “But I can fix that”
I then noticed something strange on one of his fox ears. A slight glimmer of light reflected off of the gold ear cuff that was once on Renee’s ear. I felt some relief and fear at this but I’d be a crappy vampire if I showed that.
“Nice earring” I smirked pointing at his ear. “Where did you get it?” Robert and Tess were looking at me like I was crazy.
“Oh this thing I stole it from your friend I guess you can say I collect things from worthy fighters. Hey maybe if you’re good enough cold one I’ll gouge your eyes out and make it into a necklace” He smirked.
“That is quite an honor but that won’t be happening, that earring you’re wearing is no paltry item, it’s a demonic seal originally made by Travis Deluda in the year 1300, then remade by his great-great-great-great-great granddaughter Madison Deluda when it broke. In other words let it be known that it was a manmade Human artifact had just greatly weakened the great Hiko Sumade” I smirked as Hiko got white.
“I-I’ve never heard of such a thing, you’re lying!” He snarled pointing his two fingers at us. Tess backed away screwing her eyes shut and Robert flinched preparing for the attack but nothing happened. “Wha-?” He snarled trying again this time Tess opened one eye and Robert blinked becoming smug.
“As I said the earring greatly limits your power so you’re about as weak as a human” I stated confidently.
“Grr…” he growled trying to take it off, but every time he tugged his ear went with it. “How do I take it off cold one?”
“Say ‘oh wonderful Aaron I apologize for calling you an offensive demeaning term, and I’m really gay’” I smirked feeling extremely cocky. But I had to keep a close eye on the fleabag.
“Grr just tell me”
“It won’t matter you’ll be dead in two maybe five minutes.”
“Like you can kill me you couldn’t even kill my associate, what makes you think you can kill me” He sneered I shook my head at his stupidity.
“Not me fool” I sighed pointing at the fleabag. “Her”
“What?”
I rolled my eyes “Geez for a genius you sure are slow, slower then Robert I must say”
Robert from the corner of my glance flipped me off.
“What do you mean, she can’t kill me either”
“Not when that earring is on” I grinned as his face dawned in horror. “Exactly the entire time she was fighting you and your partners, she wasn’t even at her full strength” I smirked but this really didn’t spell a good situation for me either, when she was like that she killed anyone that was in range.
“Well all I got to do is drop her back in and…” He stopped midsentence when a clawed hand stabbed through his stomach. Her yellow eyes were a mix of fire yellow, and electric blue but there was a third color too, an angry blood red. Her leg, her arm and all the little cuts on her body began to heal rapidly.
Hiko coughed up blood, seeing as how he was helpless with the earring on. But he leaned forward pushing both of them off the cliff into the water.
“Tess, protect Robert this is going to get bad, it seems he’s been graced with another rare experience that we would prefer he didn’t see.” I muttered diving down after them. I could hear the sounds of bones crunching and flesh and skin ripping as well screams of pain. When I got down to the bottom I saw the fleabag standing over a torn body bits of hair and blood stained the water and she was (as creepy as it sounds) playing with Hiko’s torn off head. Batting it around like a ball of yarn. Her eyes still blood red with a playful smile on her face.
I stepped out of the water carefully stepping forward; she noticed my presence and turned from playful to hostile.
“Re” I muttered figuring now was not the time for nicknames. “It’s ok I’m not gonna…shit!” I stopped as she charged forward claws extended. I dodged left but she recovered and charged at me again.
“Re…stop…this…idiocy…you’ll& #8230;get arrested…if you don’t…switch back” I was still a second too late as she caught hold of my arm. Shit
I felt a searing pain as my arm was ripped apart from my body. Geez Madi was gonna be pissed. Since she was close I extended my fangs and bit down hard into her shoulder determined not to let go.
Renee screamed a horrible cat like yell like she was in pain. Then started to claw at me, the more she attacked the harder I bit down. I hated resorting to this but this was the only way I could stop her.
I punched her hard in the stomach with all my strength causing the wind to be knocked out of her and her body fell limp. I let her go from my teeth and let her fall to the ground. I guess I’ll keep an eye on her until Madi…
It was a feint, she wasn’t unconscious, she stabbed a hand through my stomach, giving a happy shout of victory pulling it out and licking the blood like a cat would. “Die…” That was the first word she uttered in this form making it rather frightening. She was about to attack when a gunshot rang through the air and hit Renee in the side of the head.
She turned her head attention diverted from me to the source, their stood Robert shaking like a leaf Tess was standing in front of him her eyes glaring at Renee but she was shaking too.
“NO YOU IDIOTS GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!!!” I screamed as I grabbed onto Renee’s tail, tugging it hard.
Renee snarled in pain and kicked me hard enough to send me flying into the water she still had my other arm.
Once I was aside she turned on Robert and Tess. I glared and leapt forward biting her throat. “Re if you kill me I’ll see to it you go with me” I snarled biting down hard. She hissed in pain as she gripped onto my throat and throwing me back at the cave wall. Then once I was on the ground she snapped both of my legs preventing movement.
Tess came forward and struck at her head; Renee recovered from the blow her head bleeding violently and clawed her chest leaving three jagged marks.
But we weren’t the ones she was after she wanted the one who attacked her with fearful eyes as if she was a monster.
Robert
She leapt over Tess running over towards Robert her claws extended at his throat. Tess chased after her but was not gonna make it. Robert then started to…cry.
“No please don’t hurt me!” He cried dropping the gun and holding his head. “I don’t wanna die! I don’t wanna die! I don’t wanna die!”
Renee froze, how very much unexpected, but Robert’s sudden cowardice must have hit her somewhere. She gritted her teeth and punched him but not with the same strength she did with me.
“You’re a fool Robby” She growled. “You would rather live a coward then die bravely. How would your dad feel about that?”
I sighed in relief Re was back for the moment. But Robert was still scared.
“I didn’t know the job of NYPD would require dealing with blood thirsty monsters.”
Renee froze her eyes wide she looked around quickly her eyes finally falling on Hiko’s decapitated head. Tears began to form in her eyes as she rushed over to me looking at the damage
“I did this didn’t I Aaron?” She sobbed falling onto her knees. I did my best to reach over to her and wipe her tears away.
“No Hiko killed himself Fleabag don’t worry about it just get some rest” I muttered soothingly looking into her eyes, she fell into a trance her eyes drooping.
“O-ok bloodsucker, wake me later I wanna go to Central Park” She muttered rubbing her eyes cutely. I smirked at her and nodded.
“I promise”
She smiled and rested her head on my lap falling asleep. I sighed in relief and looked over at Robert. “Case closed”
Madi’s POV
God it sucks being human sometimes. I was always the clean up with things like this. I sighed wiping the sweat off my face as I focused my energy into a solid substance. An ear cuff with a fox on it formed on the red-haired sleeping she-demon. As I saw a few ghost come toward me in fear I heard what they were saying barely.
“A monster she’s like a killer the way she ripped apart that demon”
“A cat with red eyes”
Uh oh
“Where is this exactly?” I asked they looked at me shocked; no human has ever spoken to them before.
“Uh…In the underground river over that way” The one ghost pointed up ahead. I nodded and bolted towards that direction leaving the two demons handcuffed in spirit chains.
I came there in no time and saw a huge water fall. “HEY!! AARON!!”
“OVER HERE!!” I heard Robert shout his voice sounded frightened though.
I looked over the cliff and saw Robert standing far away from the rest of them Aaron was lying down a bleeding mess Tess had three scars on her chest and Renee was sleeping soundly on Aaron’s lap.
I jumped off and landed next to Robert. “What happened?”
Aaron looked at me nonchalantly “Hiko killed himself, he fell off the waterfall”
“Do you honestly expect me to believe that” I sighed, his story made no sense at all.
“No I don’t but for Renee’s sake I hope the chief does”
Robert looked angry. “No she should be arrested, she killed someone that girl is a…”
“SHUT UP!!” I screamed loudly at Robert silencing him immediately. I even surprised myself a little.
“Re is not a monster she’s my friend, to call her a monster would be to call Tess Aaron and ME a monster.” I continued. “She’s just a girl who gets angry that’s all”
Robert still looked like he wanted to argue but he stopped himself in fear I might yell again.
Aaron decided to speak. “Let me tell you a story Robert, it’s about a young demon princess who had a very kind family. She believed as well as her parents believed that all humans should be treated the same as demons. But they were hated for their thoughts because all demons hated humans, and showing mercy was unthinkable. The princess only had one friend who told her all about the human world, all the strange wonders that they worked hard to build.
“But then she was betrayed by that friend, he killed her entire family without mercy before her eyes and sent her to the human world. In the human world it was the 1300s a time where Vampires and advocates of the devil were hunted and killed. The princess didn’t know that though and went to a town to get some food and water, and maybe some help. How do you think they reacted when the saw a bloody and badly burned child with a tail and ears?”
Robert blinked at this his eyes intent on listening to the story.
“They beat her more, kicked her while she down and left her to die calling her a monster. She was alone demons hated her pacifist family’s ways, Humans hated her because of her evil appearance, and vampires hated her because she was demon. All that anger and confusion built up inside her tiny body, why do they hurt me? What did I do wrong? I never hurt anybody? All those questions twisted her in the worst possible way making her turn into what the humans thought her to be…a monster. The entire town was attacked each person killed turned her more and more twisted until she broke. She couldn’t control her fury anymore and tried to attack the last boy, A boy who was about to be hanged for being able to see ghosts.”
Robert looked over at me and I nodded.
“The boy was Travis Deluda, he saw the princess as a beautiful angel heaven sent to save him. He reached her ears and lightly petted them, making her stop in her tracks. An ear cuff was formed on the left ear and feeling all the warmth and happiness in the boy’s smile she fell asleep. When she woke the boy smiled, hugged her thanking her for saving him and asked her if she wanted to be friends. Which was strange to her she wasn’t used to a human asking her such things, so she just cried and nodded.”
Robert blinked at this then sighed. “I take it Renee is the princess?”
Aaron nodded lightly petting Renee’s head. “She’s suffered but she’s never been happier, never has she ever had this many friends before” I had to smile at this, neither have I.
Tess reached over and petted her head. “I never doubted her for a minute, she’s a good person and she does look happy” Her expression became sly “are you two dating?”
I laughed at this, as Aaron face turned pink “No we certainly are not that-that’s sick!”
“No but they should” I giggled a bit lightly taking the earring off the decapitated Hiko’s head and snapping it back in place on Renee’s left ear.
“Shut up Madison” Aaron snarled picking up Renee and throwing her over his shoulder. “Let’s get the fleabag home”
I laughed and turned to Robert. “Oh by the way if you want to quit…?”
Robert looked up smiled and shook his head. “I wasn’t willing to give my life like my dad was, if I quit now Renee will beat the shit out of me and call me a coward after she put so much faith in me. I won’t let her down, and I won’t let my father down either”
I smirked “Yea I kinda figured you’d say that”
Two days later (Robert’s POV)
Knock knock
It’s been two days since I last saw those three, the chief had no jobs for them but I offered to work with them more which surprised him. ‘Most people who worked with them quit’ he said I think he was disappointed but he can’t fire me as long as I volunteer for that job.
I don’t mind working with them, they are different, Madi the organized soft-spoken, yet respected leader, Aaron the cool, intelligent vampire, and Renee the fun loving and powerful demon. They were all opposites but they truly cared about this city and its people, no matter what creature they are.
I heard the door knob jiggle and I stood at attention. It opened slightly revealing one purple eye.
“Oh! Robert what a surprise” Though he didn’t sound too surprised, must have heard me coming.
“Hey figured I’d stop by for a visit, you know see how you Madi and Renee are and…”
“You want to apologize?” He stated coolly opening the door fully; he must have read my mind.
I nodded, “If she’s awake”
“She just woke up actually” Aaron smiled stepping aside, “Madi’s not here she’s at school by the way”
“How old is she?” I asked rather amused, ghost seer or not she still went to school like a normal girl would.
“Only 16” He smirked lightly tapping the shoulder of the girl lounging on the couch reading. “Hey fleabag you have a visitor”
She looked up and I noticed why she was on the couch, her left leg was in a brace. “I thought she was healed?” I asked shocked.
“She was when the limiter was off but when it’s back on she heals slowly” he explained a book was chucked at his head, which he ducked.
“Asshole don’t make me sound like an inferior being just because I don’t heal as fast as you do” She snarled “Now get me my book”
“No” Aaron said simply picking up the book, looking at it he smirked. “So…you like Vampire stories?” He smirked, holding out the book that read ‘Twilight’ on the book cover. Renee’s face turned red in either anger or embarrassment.
“No Madi said it was a good book and since I’m gonna be sitting on my ass all day I might as well read it, now GIVE IT!” She wined trying to claw it out of his hands.
He held it high over her head dangling it there. “Reach for it Fleabag”
“Oh right make fun of a helpless cripple” She snarled trying to reach for the book.
“But how helpless can you be if you threw a book at him” I piped in Renee pouted.
“Fine take his side, I don’t care I finished it anyways” She glared crossing her arms over her chest.
I laughed a bit then took the book from Aaron. “You know they have two more books after this one if you want to read it. I’ll get it for you if you want” I smiled tapping her forehead with the book.
She blinked and grinned, “I’d like that”
I laughed then sighed slightly. “By the way…I’m sorry for what I said”
“…huh what did you say?”
I fell over in shock “Wh-what?”
Aaron chuckled a bit.
“No seriously what did he say? For the life of me I can’t remember,” She said her face looking focused as if she really didn’t remember. “But whatever it was, it’s ok I’m not mad, and I’m sorry too” she grinned sadly.
I blinked at the strange expression, it’s like she didn’t know but she had an idea so I decided to drop it, she obviously didn’t want to make me feel uncomfortable.
“Anyway I should get going…by the way in any more police cases regarding the Occult, I’ll be working with you guys if I’m not a burden”
“Of course you’re not Robert you saved my life, and Renee’s, you don’t realize how strong a human you are”
“Yea but unfortunately for you, you’re working with a bunch of freaks” Renee grinned lightly punching my shoulder.
“Speak for yourself flea bag”
“Ok going now” I sighed these two were always fighting, hard to believe they work together. But they do and they made a good balanced team.
I waved my goodbyes and left the apartment building. Dad, these people are strong and they really care they make me proud to know them, and I bet you’re proud too. I actually like working with them despite what the chief said.
