Disclaimer: the characters and the plot all belong to me, since this is my own original story.
Warnings: some language here and there, yaoi sex scenes, implied stuff.
Author's Notes: The characters in my story all belong in the Phenom series, which is pretty much my own little thing with all these Gods and Goddesses who live in Heaven. It has a main plot and story, but lately I've been obsessed with writing all these little side Yaoi stories for my own crazy fan-girl amusement ^_^. Anyways, just so you can understand the story all the characters pretty much work in these office-like places where they control all the things that happen on Earth because each god has their own thing they control (elements, emotions, ect.) Although in these little side things they barely work... he he he.
Jealous of His Happiness III
Ureshii Hisou felt a horrible pang of guilt as he lay in bed each night and wished his love, Netami Okayaki were with him. He reminded himself after every secret wish that Netami still had two kids to take care of from his first marriage, and they needed their father more than he needed a lover. Yet still, Ureshii couldn’t sleep at night. The bed felt so empty as so did the whole apartment, and he wished at least someone was here to take the loneliness away. His sister? Nah, she was probably out clubbing with Koshu, Kiku, Ikkyo, and Yasu. The girls in Heaven traveled in packs, Ureshii noted mentally. Plus, it just seemed so lame to hang out with your sister. Did Ureshii really not have any friends? Or at least any friends that didn’t go clubbing and drinking every Saturday night?... Not really. That’s what normal young adults did, he was just the oddball. And Netami was a parent, if he weren’t he’d go along with them all at the drop of a hat.
This Saturday night, he was particularly lonely.
This Saturday night, Netami just wanted to go party.
There was nothing special about this day, but he just had the urge to go clubbing with all his friends with his eye candy Ureshii at his side. He wanted to show him off, and make everyone jealous that Ureshii was his and no one else’s. But then again, what more could the God of Jealousy want than to make others green with envy?
Instead, he was laying drained in his too-empty bed after trying to get his children to sleep. It was a tiring task, and it tired him quicker than all the dancing and socializing you could do in two hours.
He looked to the lone window where moonlight had been pouring in to see the lone silhouette of a blonde god in the frame of the window.
“Ureshii?” he called.
Before Netami could blink, the blonde caught him in a deep embrace, that similar to a child that had long missed their parents.
“Netami I missed you!” Ureshii exclaimed, before planting a kiss on the brunette’s anxious lips. “I-I’m sorry! I know you have kids to take care of but-!”
Netami placed a finger over Ureshii’s lips to shush him. “I know I have kids to take care of, but I also have someone else to take care of now as well. And I’ve been neglecting him very much, so I hope he’ll forgive me.”
“Yes, he forgives you,” Ureshii replied, letting out a sigh of relief. “He just… wants a little attention.”
“The night’s all his for the taking,” Netami whisper deviously into Ureshii’s ear. “The bed’s too cold and lonely without him in it.”
“He wants to be in it!” Ureshii exclaimed like an over excited child as he slid under the covers with his brunette, sliding close to him.
“Aww, were you a bit jealous that I’ve been spending time with the kids so much lately?” Netami asked.
“You know I couldn’t lie to you,” Ureshii spoke. “Because you already know.”
“It’s radiating off you like crazy,” the brunette confessed. “But there’s no need to be, ‘cause I’m taking care of you now.”
Around one o’clock in the morning, after the two men had finally gone to sleep after their love-making, the bedroom door creaked open. Slowly, the little scared five year-old Kenshin made his way in the dark room and climbed into his dad’s bed. He did this many nights usually excusing it with claims that he’d seen monsters or had scary dreams. Only this night, he didn’t expect someone to already be occupying the other side of daddy’s bed.
“Hey, move it!” Kenshin whined, trying to shove the blonde intruder off the bed.
“No… no more Netami, I’m tired,” the sleeping man muttered in his sleep.
Kenshin groaned, his attempt useless. He started to shake his dad awake calling, “Daddy, daddy!”
“What is it Kenny?” Netami questioned sleepily, eyes slowly opening to see his son.
“There’s some strange man sleeping in the bed!” he hissed, pointing towards the sleeping mass that was Ureshii.
“Calm down,” Netami yawned. “That’s just daddy’s friend, now go to sleep.” He pulled his onyx-haired son close to him to calm the tired child.
The next morning, Ureshii was making breakfast (as the official house-hold chef) while Netami “helped” (as the official assistant) armed with his kiss-the-cook apron he wanted so badly. The whole set-up was basically so Netami could feel useful while sneaking feels at his uke when the kids were in the living room.
“Are you on the breakfast menu?” Netami questioned as he nibbled at Ureshii’s neck playfully.
“C’mon Netami…” Ureshii giggled slightly. “I’m trying to cook. After breakfast, be patient,” he told the brunette, pointing the spatula at him.
“Can we take a shower together after breakfast?”
“Mm-hmm…”
“And then what?”
“…Brunch?” the blonde said, at a loss for answers.
“Oh you tease,” Netami replied, kissing his lover’s lips. Apparently, he didn’t know Ureshii meant that literally.
“Hey daddy?” daughter Misaki called, interrupting their lustful kiss.
“Uh, yeah Misaki-honey?” Netami replied, hoping his daughter didn’t notice their intimate kiss.
However, she did, and she looked at her dad in a suspicious way before continuing, “There’s someone at the front door.”
“Alright sweetie, thanks,” he said before heading into the living room while leaving Ureshii to tend to the food.
Netami opened the front door to find his best friend Kanashii on the other side. “Hey buddy, I just decided to stop by for a bit… are you cooking breakfast?”
“Well, yes and no…” he stalled, wondering how she would react to her brother having spent the night over here.
“So you going to let me come in or what?” she questioned.
“Oh, yeah. Come in,”
Before having taken two steps in the house, Kanashii was bum-rushed by the kids, while shouting, “Kana!!” They were used to seeing her, and they loved her.
“Hey guys, what’s up?” she greeted the children.
“There’s some guy in our house,” Misaki pointed out.
“An’ last night, he was in my dad’s bed too. An’ for some reason they were na-“ Kenshin was cut off by his dad covering his mouth and picking the boy up.
“Just who are they talking about?” Kanashii asked, eyeing Netami suspiciously as well.
“You might know him,” Netami replied as they all headed into the kitchen.
“Breakfast is rea- Kanashii??” Ureshii exclaimed as he looked at their morning visitor.
“Well, the kids’ stories at least make sense now,” she said before taking her place at the kitchen table.
“If you’re going to comment about this further, remember you weren’t exactly invited for breakfast,” Netami responded. He fixed his kids each a plate, and then told them to go eat in the living room so they could watch Saturday morning cartoons.
“Well it’s not a bad thing he’s here, it’s just that you shouldn’t leave your kids all in the dark about Ureshii either. They think he’s some kind of intruder,” Kanashii explained as she started eating.
“They really think that?” Ureshii asked, looking slightly hurt.
“But what the hell am I going to tell them, ‘daddy likes other men now?’ They’re five and seven!” Netami argued.
“You’re going to have to tell them something, or else they’re never going to get used to Ureshii being around. Just think about how you introduced them to me as your best friend, something as simple as that will do. There’s no reason to go into too much detail since their so little anyways,”
“Do I really have to tell them though?” Netami sighed. “This is going to be difficult.”
“Yes, you do. And it won’t be difficult as long as you introduce them to Ureshii little by little by doing family things,”
“But Kana, what if the kids don’t like me?” Ureshii wondered, looking really worried by now.
“Don’t worry about that now and besides, I think they will grow to like you,” she replied. “C’mon you two, time to undo some damage,” Kanashii spoke as she dragged the men into the living room.
“Misaki, Kenshin, I want you to meet my little brother Ureshii,” Kanashii explained to the kids, gestering towards the ‘intruder.’
“So you’re Kana’s little brother like Ken is my little brother?” Misaki asked Ureshii.
“Yeah, exactly,” he answered, actually taken back by how quickly they decided to talk to him.
“Hey Mr. Ureshii?” Kenshin began, raising his hand like he was in school. “Why were you and my dad in the bed last night naked?”
Ureshii turned red at the question, embaressed that his sister had to be in the room. “It’s a grown up thing, Ken,” Kanashii replied to the child, giving her brother a look. “And they may need to stop making a habit of that.”
“Hey, you’re asking a lot of me,” Netami admitted.
“Kana, I saw them kissing too,” Misaski pointed out.
By now Kanashii was giving her brother and her best friend the death glare, because they were horrible at being discreet and it was killing her. She couldn’t really keep the truth from these kids, because they needed to know. “Netami, honey, I think you need to explain what’s going on to them. Me and Ureshii are going to make our leave for the morning, aren’t we Ureshii?”
The blonde reluctantly nodded in agreement, although he now was going to have to skip out on the shower with Netami. The siblings waved before making their much-needed exit.
“Okay…” Netami let out a sigh before sitting on the couch in between his children. “Well, you remember how much daddy loved your mommy right?”
“Yeah,” they both responded in agreement.
“Now that mommy is gone, daddy found someone else that he loves instead… but it’s not a girl like her, it’s another man like me. And that man that daddy loves is Ureshii,” he explained. “He’ll probably be around here a lot more, you guys don’t mind do you?”
“It’s okay daddy, that’s all you had to say,” Misaki spoke, giving him a nice pat on the back. “I kind of like Ureshii, he seems nice.”
“Yah, he’s nice,” Kenshin agreed with his sister. “If you guys get married, will we have two daddies?”
“Possibly,” Netami spoke, his mind drifting. It was a nice thought, to be married to Ureshii one day. And his kids might even start to like him too, which was the brunette’s greatest fear in the beginning that they wouldn’t like him. Netami didn’t even really see anything wrong with them having two dads, as long as his little family was whole again.
